I would trade all those explosions and CGI for a good plot.

Dune with a Pink Floyd soundtrack- gave me the chills. All the CGI creators had way more time at home in lockdown perfecting their art. Not been to the cinema in 5 months- can’t wait to see every single film on this list.
I didn't have the patience but saw the thumbnail of the Sandworm. Looked good.
I for one am looking forward to it

I saw Vivarium MONTHS ago online thru an app
Hopefully we won't have to wait for cinema for Dune? The way things are going, maybe pay to stream? Such great Herbert material to work with, read the books and enjoyed the version with Picard and Sting, haha.
As someone who watched stuff like "Back to the future, The Matrix, Inception" etc at their time... I have got to believe that we are evolving in graphics but devolving intellectually if this list really is the best of Sci-fi of 2020. There are only 2 here I'll actually try watch for lack of alternatives.

You want to take a look at the 2021 classic 'cosmic sin' with Bruce Willis. Quite possibly the worst film ever made - even the irony of the title was unintentional.
30:31 “What was that?” “Turn your lights off.” Ah, yes, marine biologists. Turn your lights off, so the monster that has been living seven miles under the ocean in total pitch blackness that has adapted to its environment with echolocation and other enhanced senses can’t find you.

Idiots saying that thinking they are smart. They saw nothing.
@@eavyeavy2864 Fear not, everyone. The edgelord has arrived to inform us of how we are inferior because of our internet comments.
As an example Vivarium is the trailer, there is some extra minor plot point here and there but the plot doesn't go much further than what is already shown. Interesting idea but it would fit much better in a format like a 20 minutes Twilight Zone episode than a feature film.
Not really, when you look at old trailers you'll see that they generally get more spoilery the further back you go. There are a few exeptions to this of course (like the original trailer for Alien which is to this day my favorite film trailer).
I like how almost every sci-fi movie trailer has this epic exploding soundtrack that makes you to watch it.
It makes me feel in the movie
Thats kinds the point yeah, if it didnt work then...it wouldnt be used i guess

I've been into Sci fi since the mid 60s. My gripe is why is it always when they tell people to get to safety, nobody ever takes any food, or a change of underwear?
@@mikeymoo1291 you can wash cloths. I want more realistic Guns, in games like loading a clip with bullets and more making them, Supernatural shows it. Also them eating to much. Just games and movies are great when people think cigarettes will spark gas. Or sparks off brick, I can't say I don't love Ash VS Evil Dead and a Shotgun half barrel will send someone half way across a room. Bullets exploding cars. Key to design is to always keep it real, film story only need to show questions answer them tie of loose ends, the moment you stop focus means director failed. Like near 3hrs of action leads to viewer fatigue. Avengers used comedy to lift the action. Some plots can be strange object, interaction or investigation lead to problems, how to stop problem. Then comes the how do you make it interesting. I always see directions that lack time use sex scenes or kissing as a form to show us they like each other" then ten minutes later later... Best form direction go is to remember that you don't need long heavy interaction I've skipped to many new and known directors series or not. If you want people to be naked. The internet is porn, some have stories. O.o. I want more Alien movies, the comics show synthetic alien robots that smoke a cigar. Or the fact that Ripley does not crash but makes it to the space hub. The show the earth experiment. Also between one and two they collected a queen. It taps into peoples minds and makes them think its a god using them to draw to it break in, giving themselves to be reborn. Dooming earth. Dark horse, if it wasn't for the comic after the first they never would have made the best Sci fi alien movie Aliens. Resurrection people hated but it was more based to fix the messed up spin off from the comics. I don't know why they they had so much material to play with. Like music it follows certain things. Due to marvel movies, the bar was lifted. Mostly everything needs huge action, as internet and worse social media caused a spin out of so much that attention span is lessened and interest rates in things around change. If it has no gore, or world extinct threats. Most want world ended, do what you want I'm sure more than 80% of people will turn killers if real. They would see sport in doing the things or forced they see off movies. Seeing a internet addict with no internet is bad. Also can't lie I do enjoy ideas like Dune the book was slow. The movie could have been better. It's always fun to see an idea and have it shaped like the Body Snatchers all had interesting takes but all felt like cut off.

Have you read Proxima Centauri by on amazon? This is a amazing sci fi thriller written in a way anyone can read! Google Proxima Centauri b Mike LeBlanc to find it easy
Well science exists in the movie world so it's science and it bears no relation to real-world science so it's science fiction lol They should just rebrand it as fictional-science or bad-science-movies.
@@trinidad17 Eh, by that standard, all movies are science-fiction. But that's not what the genre "Science-Fiction" is about. Real or imagined, the focus in the movie should be more about science. Dr.Who is more Science-Fiction then most of these, at least it has time-travel and space-travel in it. In "Colors of Space" for example, I fail to see how having an alien in it suddenly makes it Science-Fiction. When nothing in the movie is about science, real or imagined. If anything, some of these movies would fall more loosely under fantasy, not Science-Fiction.
