But Nico, says the nerd that thinks you're a hero, what about the yellow entries....the "FILE NOT FOUND" which I'm guessing it means there's a reference in the reg that is pointing at/towards a file that is no longer on the system...can these be ignored? Should we un-check them since the entry might be referring to malicious files that have been removed by Tron/TDSS/RK, etc? (By the way, VirusTotal found nothing of concern on my phone...it DID however, find several entries that it could provide no information for, such as permission entries...very, very funny looking permission entries, that it could provide no information for. The two apps that are most unknown are system/hidden apps called "Tethering" and "Tee Service") You have essentially helped me, without even breaking a sweat, remove a virus, a rootkit, etc, that I was SOOO close to throwing out my entire PC after 4-5 months of dealing with it...it was an absolute NIGHTMARE. TDSS Killer kicked the **** out of some files, it took multiple reboots, between TDSS and RougeK, but it got the job done and for the first time, even before the programs were completely finished, my laptop (8GB/1TBSSD/AMD3.4), much to my freakin surprise, booted in less than 10 seconds as it once did, several months ago, when I first got it brand-new last year. I still don't know where the problem originated from BUT I WILL SAY that I purchased a Windows 10 Pro key online and I did NO research into the vendor, and that I only spent about 20 bucks for said key...I say it could possibly be the root cause-but then again it could not. I don't use the key anymore, obviously, because this laptop came with it's OEM key for Windows, which surprisingly wasn't deleted during the 3/4 formats that took hours upon hours to write 0s over the drive. There is SO much common sense in your information but it just didn't hit me like common sense...once I got a little bit of validation, not to mention a FREAKIN REPLY from the champion himself, NICO KNOWS TECH, I began to gain back the perspective I needed. Thank you, I am in your debt sir! You are highly intelligent and WONDERFUL for sharing with all of us. i back you on that, i had some issues lately which got solved and nico just brings all the tools you need, explains them so that dumb ppl understand and reliefs you. When you have to balance work and family life the last thing you want to worry about is when your only machine (source of relaxation) has got problems in it. I got replied to instantly by nico and had a convo with him on another video. Good stuff Nico. Now my pc is clean
@@NicoKnowsTech Conhost processes can be hackers or, viruses if they are multiple running,for more than 10 minutes.I just wanted to get a music track from an old torrent website it used to exist,and i got a hacker into my pc,cause imidiatelly it started deleting my files,and settings wallpapers from my documents personal ones,when i was booting windows,it also again started to delete stuff within seconds and fan was at 100%.

I was doing some research on a virus named "Uwamson" after my Windows Defender detected it and I manually removed any files that I have just recently installed, but I only ended up with a small number of relevant results from affected people giving different descriptions about this virus. Right now, I am glad that Autoruns is a thing that can help me find any suspicious files hiding around my operating system.

same thing happened to me, download a "lightroom" file and it got acces to everything, i followed some of nico's tutorials, but did you do anything else, to secure the social media? (except changing the password)

I had a nasty trojan that used all my social media accounts and created a huge mess I had to clean up. Luckily I never saved any credit card info on that computer and I only lost an unimportant epic games account where I didn't set up 2FA. When I searched for ways to remove the trojan, the first thing I found was your video about the tron script. The performance issues disappeared instantly and I even got rid of some annoying pre-installed applications! Now my computer is clean, I'm so lucky to have discovered this channel!

I hope you see this man, I have been hacked recently and had a hard time recovering accounts but because of this channel, my very uneasy feeling of not being able to sleep as I monitor if things that notify me that something was changed was reduced but still I still perform routine checks just to be sure but in all cases, just wanted to thank you for introducing virus total and these tips to check if system is really secure and because I'm not a hacker or IT engineer or anything, it really hurts to not do anything but just defend myself and i was just frustrated and nervous in what to do. do you recommend running autoruns before using something like tron? and if autoruns comes back clean, don't bother with tron? my autoruns looks clean but there are several instances of files not found that are highlighted in yellow

I just followed steps in this video but I get all "Error" under the virus Total column. There is no check against Virus total. Yours showing 0/75 or 1/75, mine just shows Error. How can I fix this?

Sir may I asked, I had a presently a high infected of malware, named; " Account Unknown Hijack Explorer Disable Registry Tools, " On my laptop now. Have you ever encountered and complete remove & repair of a certain laptop of your clients ?
If my windows product key has be potentially stolen , do I need a new copy of windows to prevent anyone from using it online? Could possibly have malware crypto mining off of my machine or something. @@gabpodcast if your computer automatically restarts during the disinfect, just run Tron again. It will resume where it left off.
@@NicoKnowsTech I'm keenly following up with the process. There is this notepad thing that was always popping up after every restart or booting, I don't see it no more after running the tdsskiller. I'm on the last scan with Roguekiller, what I can say is, this is good, this is absolutely much better than what I have tried on other youtube channels. For the past two months, I felt like someone was on my trail watching me, following me and seeing everything I do online. I got frustrated after getting notifications from every site that I have an account with that there was an illegal login attempt or someone changed my passwords. I deleted almost all of my important accounts to protect my privacy. The only account that I was unable to recover is facebook, sadly I'm an admin of three non-profit organizations in my community, and at the moment I can't gain access to any of them. But so far so good. How I wish I knew this channel before..I could have prevented the stress that I am going through now. Thank you so much for being there for all of us🙏

Yes, ever since I've gotten a trojan and was hacked, I question every single detail of my computer. I initially didn't sleep for 6 days, trying to find anymore viruses cause I just felt incomplete and paranoid. I ended up deleting my whole SSD, even then I now question if they've done something to my network and internet, I feel like someone's watching me at all times

I have a simple question regarding R Kill and that is: I have downloaded it but not installed it .. should I click on R Kill to install it BEFORE running Tron Script? or will Tron script handle re-installing R Kill then un uninstall it after the script runs? bitdefender detect process hacker x64 as unwanted program at first, so I restore it back.. after a few second running it, bitdefender blocked the program from running.. should I worry or not?

If the rootkit has infected the system then yes in one way or another. Really advanced APTs will often appear as an unsigned driver that alerts on virus total.
Yay finally someone who actaully knows what they are talking about and doing compaired to other youtubers who end up screwing up laptops for others who probably think that it's still gonna work on your system and then having to go out and buying a new laptop!

Hi, process hacker and process explorer of sysinternals have same's color code meaning ? Because in Process Explorer i noticed a couple of purple color processes and you mentioned that can be a depurated kernel, so this is dangerous? If these processes are not have any detection in VT are good so?
Are you sure they are purple and not blue?
@@NicoKnowsTech Yes, i am sure. I checked out and the processes are from GlassWire software. According the color scheme in PE, purple color refers to Packed Images. Is good? I'm sorry i don't know too enough about this things.

my main problem is adobe after effects crashes on start up. it has something to do with wmic.exe. the first time i scanned my laptop i had a trojan, and i’ve tried everything even a clean install (i probably didn’t do it right) and it still won’t stop crashing. my laptop is laggy and command prompt pops up randomly. i’m running tronscript right now. to make it even better it’s my college laptop :/

Thank you for your sharing, I finally kill the malware after watching your video. I really appreciate your video. However I got another new problem when every time I start my computer. The Bitlocker keeps asking me the code. It shows up when I caught malware in my computer, after running tron and killing the virus, I believe the malware is gone but Bitloker keeps popping up. I have no idea how to make it back to normal. I just don't want to turn off of bitlicker, is there any way to fix it without forcing to turn off bitlocker?
Disable bitlocker all together and then redo the encryption would be the best bet
Hey i got a virus yesterday which enabled the adminstrator account at the start up when your trying to login with ur username there is a new user i had 2 users and now there is third one called admisntrator this happened after i got a virus now the problem is when i open windows with my real account name and try to open win rar or any other program i get an error which says "you dont have permission for this folder you dont have enough authorization to run this programm" i literally got this eerror on google chrome mozilla or microsoft edge i couldnt open those programms and win rar files didnt open how do i gget rid of this and what happened so i get this error all the time ? pls help

Hard to teach that. It's just experience. I recommend everyone to just avoid links from domains they do not recognize unless they run the URL through Virus Total. If users stick with the major domains (Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Apple, etc) and websites by well established names... They can reduce their exposure to malicious websites. I'm also working on videos which cover malicious domain lists, DNSMASQ, and other ways of automatically filtering out known bad domains so that even novice users can surf with confidence.

Was stupid and desperate for a free-version of a soft-ware. So I clicked it, ran the exe(with Malware Premium on) and realized my mistake immediately. Shut off PC booted up safe Mode. I proceeded to run every Malware preventing thing under the book. Said there was nothing found. I then proceeded to spend 8 hours of my night(and now morning) just doing every scan, every check up, looking through every file and I have utterly screwed my sleep. I wanted to be absolutely sure I was safe. Still found nothing. I then just googled 'How can I know my PC is 100% safe from Malware' and I came across this video. I followed the TRON guide then I did this, still, nothing found and I believe I can finally rest now. Thank you so much. Might as well ask just to be safe- If I got a suspicious exe, ran it then NOTHING occured. I proceeded to boot up safe mode and scan everything with RKill, Malwarebytes then rebooted and ran tron. Then followed this guide and the entire time found no evidence/positive for malware. I am safe then? Hopefully so :)
Most relatable comment I've found so far 🤣. I've recently downloaded a cracked software, ran it and later realized that it was probably a virus. Didn't care about it for a while until I found malicious activities in my youtube accounts. Someone's/something's been using my accounts to watch nonsense hack tutorials for games. I went quickly to youtube to find tutorials on how to remove viruses and did all the things that you basically did. I'm really hoping that I'm done with my problem.

Hey Nico or other helpers, Could we verify companies with verified signatures? Couldn’t viruses disguise themselves as these signs? From where I’m seeing it (Autoruns), they have a false positive of (2/74). Thanks for your support.
There are some rare instances where APTs (advanced malware) have used stolen certificates but these are only used in targeted attacks on large organizations. It is just too expensive to waste them on the general public.

Depends. If the result is VERY specific and can be identified as a very new variant, then it is possible but these cases are VERY rare as zero day threats get detected same day by researchers like myself.
