I'm wondering how people figured out how to put bricks into a bucket, but not how to put them back in.

5:06 Hey, Matt, you can make those filters even better by building an Auto-Repair machine. You just need to head over to Shattered Outpost where there's a logic store and then buy: 3 Logic Elbow Pipes, 2 Logic Pipes, 1 Durability Reader, 1 Logic Flip Hook (turns a logic 1 into a 0 vice versa), and a Logic Spanner Hurler. The Durability Reader reads the durability of the Filter, then when it reaches 0, the Flip Hook sends a 1 to the Spanner Hurler and fixes the Filter. Repeat up to five times and now you have five self-repairing filters. 5:36 You can feed Hardstone blocks back into the machine.
iirc Blitz brute-forced repairing by putting his filters in a row, put a conveyor belt underneath looping around, and placing repair kits on the conveyor - each time they pass thru the filter they will repair any damage

@@soupwizard If you feed the repair kits directly to the filters, they'll get used up when the filter is at 99% durability. Combine both ideas to give your spanner hurlers an extended magazine.
@@BenLubar That's why I build an individual repair machine for each filter rather than one that reads off the first filter as it saves more on spanners in the long run.
@@racer927 Yes, you can feed multiple repair machines with one belt loop, it's just that you don't want to use the belt loop as a replacement for the repair machines themselves.
I discovered recently that you can use the keypad to change the amount that the hard blocks are made into. I set mine to 1,000 so each block is 100 * more compacted.
There is a logic set up you can use to auto repair the filters, just got to keep it fed spaners
Nah he aint smart enough to figure that out by himself. Look at the hand sort tier setup instead of mining at the bottom and using auto sorters

I demand you revise the bridge review. One of the main killers of wooden bridges is rott induced by prolonged exposure to water or moisture. The lava would keep the bridge along with its foundation dry!

ok so with that Brick press you can use a logic key pad to increase the size of the bricks I set mine to 1,000 as there's very few building I think its just 1 that needs a brick bigger than 1,000 hard stone

I don't have the DLC, but in the base game I always have a spare bucket of water in the boot, and I always fill it up when I get back to the claim I'm workin'. But, then, I'm *that* gamer who *needs* to be overprepared before I consider myself *just* prepared. I mean, just watch my Subnautica videos after I set up to go to The Lost River. The amount I overprepped was simultaneously sufficient to the journey and lacking in *titanium,* the resource you need the most of, yet never have quite enough of. It's like lead in Subnautica: Below Zero.
add 6 or 7 filters so when one of breaks your machinery doesnt get damaged:)
Admittedly it's been a while since I played Hyrdoneer because my computer couldn't handle it several minor updates back... you can change the drop-shadow's color? I will remember that for next time.

Matt, you can also "place" the ore/ice/whatever to hold in in your hand and just put in exactly where you look at, it is much easier than what you are doing
You can use a crusible to meltdown your ingots and combine them into larger ingots... Not sure if there is a limit to the size.

you can use a rake to clean up your mine and also I think you can use the crane to hook the top of the vehicles
To make placing the bricks easier, you can hold E while holding them and that puts you in a kinda precision placing mode that lets you rotate them.

shards and their bars can be destroyed by the pressure valve something i noticed to my chagrin as i put 50 weight into 9 pressure valves and now i have maybe 3 weight left. take a photo of anything you need to remember including the npc job scrolls so you dont need to take them with you and delete them when you're done with them
Great to see another engineer that snowboards and plays games! Been watching your channel for a bit and love the content. You do some great work in hydroneer, but from an aerospace engineer, your kerbal designs need some work lol. Let me know if you ever want any help with those

I'm not sure how the filters work, but it's very possible that if each filter filters 20%, then 5 could filter 67.232% rather than 100%, depends on if it filters based on the original value or the current value, if it's the original than each 20% would add up to 100%, but if it's current then each filter wouldn't filter 80% so it would be 80% of 100%, then 80% of 80%, then 80% of 64%, etc. until you reach 32.768% of it isn't filtered, which mean 67.232% is filtered, not sure if I got the math entirely correct, but it should still get the point across that having 5 filters that filter 20% each might not filter 100%

Neckless and sword gives most £ for same materials. For example, neckless out of 2 bars of 50 gold, will give you more £ than ring out of 100gold ;).

Another way to put hard stone into the dropbox easier is if you take a keypad and you put it into the logic insert and you enter a number and then once you get enough weight of the number it will make a brick
That bridge is clearly made from lava resistant trees that grow on the island
The Lavatruck has a ring on top that you can hook the crane onto to drag it with you

Pretty sure you could hook the truck with the crane by the hook on top of the truck?
Apparently it's really hard to figure out to leave the hauled vehicle on the cranes hook... it's almost like that's incredibly unsafe to the point that (almost) no one trys it.
You can walk on lava in this game but unsafe is lifting a truck 😂

In the normal shop you can buy I gem combiner and take that gems and make one big one use that to make the big bracket it sells for a loy
You can use logic to automatically repair your filters. If you can figure it out.

You can transport vehicles with the crane but you have to leave it on the hook
The amount that the crane changes things is inversely proportional to its size!
The lava truck looks like it hat a crane loop on it maybe you can grab it now you have the crane fixed
