I really have to say something, There is a tool called a rake, the T2 one was on the table near the pick and shovel you bought, you could use the rake to make perfect 1m blocks of snow for a staircase, it's also great for levelling the top of the claim out to place buildings properly without having to get a concrete block for a foundation., it was like the first thing I found that I didn't see in a youtube video. Also, bring the crane to forge heavy harvester or drill, you'll need it, i had to go and buy the crane after i found out why its called a "heavy" harvester and drill

Roboticaust is a legend. Helped me find my lava digger after it got yeeted due to being recalled on top of another vehicle. Took us a solid half hour.
Same thing happened to me, recalled the steam roller and then the flame tank and both went flying lol

Don't forget that the ice you'll be drilling to get water, falls with gravity.. so you can hav it mining at the surface, and it could fall into the melter at the bottom where your machines are

Could've just spawned in the tokens you'd get from the bone, instead of 18k basically fixing a "softlock" and progressing. So instead of cheating it's more like fixing a thing, and if the bone is ever found just toss the reward in lava since you got it already. Edit: Bone was found immediately, savior is a savior.

This is one of those games where it takes so long to do anything, that it takes some of the enjoyment out of the game. But watching Matt play it, nicely cut and edited by Schmichael, makes it a lot of fun 😂

I am so thankful for this series because as much as I love factory automation games, I will never ever EVER play Hydroneer due to just how long it must take to do anything whatsoever. Having to place pipes and belts one tile at a time would drive me absolutely insane. Fortunately, I don't have to!

Tips on how to use the flamethrower (apart from randomly tunneling in the most fun yet inefficient way possible): 1) Park the steamroller on your claim 2) Use the flamethrower to melt the snow behind the steamroller to the depth of approximately half the height of said steamroller 3) Reverse the steamroller in the hole while the roller is up 4) Lower the roller and see the snow neatly and magically flatten down 5) ??? 6) Profit👍

There's the plot that has both a river and lava next to it. That would solve the water problem.
Most bone spawn near road, 3 on mining buildings and 3 on side mountain if i remember wrong sorry. Edit some bone in beginning zone where come in with side paths, and some bones where center city near outskirt of lava. That all bonse near some kind of land mark and no bones on island shop where crane trucks is.
If I had to guess, you left that bone in your old truck. Alternatively, you record everything, right? Watch it back... prolly take as much or less time than going back over the game multiple times. Besides, what else is your editor going to do when not editing? ;p
Usually they just weep in the corner but that sounds a way better use of their time!

use can use the crane to pick up the machines you bought if they had a hook
Robiticaust should be added as an NPC, you go to him and scroll through a list of items you have previously interacted with and he tell you "Hmm, try looking between X and Y." The list should exclude items in your vehicles and placed structures (a placed drill stops being an item). If there are multiple of an item, he should say: "Ah, I saw 5 between X and Y. Plus 2 more in Z Town."

if you get the 6 relics and return them to the museum you get that ice wand.
First the lava drills will drill at any level, second, the water thing will only get ice, so you wont need to sort anything out.

Spawning in tokens is an Architect move.
On the surface level the drill only produces ice. So your surface drill is good to go m8
The quests for each person get more periodically the more you do for them. After the first few they start giving like 1,000 to 2,000 at a time for making fancy rings and swords and such. If Matt has bothered trusting the devs and engaging with the game even a little bit he might've noticed this.
seems a backpack mod would be very helpfull
i wonder, with needing to bring your water down to the lower levels....is it possible to put a second water melter down lower and a pipe out the front of the upper one to drip the water into the lower machine? I haven't actually played this at all so it's just a thought, but that would save you on some piping if it's more expensive than a second melter 🤷🏻♂

RCE: "this setup will make us millions!" RCE 5 minutes earlier: cheats for whatever amount of money he needs.
Surely the guy who is helping find stuff could make a little applet or a program where you load your save in and it shows you rough location co-ords where various unplaced objects are left laying around. Maybe even give an option to delete the items within the locator applet and save the new file.
Was instructed not to. It would violate my NDA with the developers. Itchy is making a mod for the community for just that purpose. I also pointed out missing locations on the community driven maps for both bones (Kryptonites video) and forge marks. I live on that fine line between what's allowed and what isn't.
RCE you know you can move more than one big object at a time by using a pallet, right? Might help get things moving if they're all going to the bottom.
I know how you missed the bone. When you go through there you're use to see the glowing of orange from the braziers. So you never second guessed it.

When you were looking for the rib and using a map of the locations, did you find a map with all 60+ locations? I ask because when I was looking for a map to find the last missing piece the only ones I could find only had about half the locations marked. I eventually found a youtube video that had all the locations with a map of them at the start. To answer your question, lava drills work on all tiers of dirt. The heavy drills are a giant pain in the rear to place (need to use the crane) and aren't really worth the hassle.
for the ice maker, can you put the dirt from the surface down in the hole to avoid the cost of all the pipe and conveyor? i don't own the game so i can't test it out but if you carry the dirt from the surface to the bottom where you have your drills can you produce water that way?
