So true. It can be SO HARD to start up again and not even be close to the level you remember being, or think you should be at. Start slow. Be patient with yourself. I agree with finding something that you enjoy and can stick with. Also, giving yourself the grace to never be as thin, strong, fast, etc. as you were when you made fitness a ‘job’ can be very freeing and motivating. Kudos to you shana s. - excited that you found your groove!

Ugh, I know exactly how she feels. I've always been a gym-rat and loved working out. But idk what's happened the past2yrs, I can't just get into it. And it feels like "starting over" again every time I try to start up again. Ugh.... I feel you hope!

I found myself becoming a 5' o'clock workout kickboxing girl, (which of course I never knew I was, lol!) I jumped in and I only saw me and the bag. After that, I just started going to the workout gym 3x's a week and here I am! 4 weeks, 5lbs down and going to the gym regularly. I found my niche 💛🧘🏽♀️
I know how you feel when wanting to workout, lately I graduated highschool and I noticed I haven't been fit like I used to from walking up and down all the time, I hope we both can over come that feeling cause being on the move is a good thing but mentally wanting a new change of style is hard. I'm sure we just need time, you and I and many others who feel this way, love you hope!
We've all been there with working out...I've lately really been enjoying hiking. I had a pretty extensive knee surgery and couldn't do Martial arts for awhile--my actual passion--and hiking was a great way to get my body moving without it feeling like a "workout." It's just been me connecting with nature and I love it. Plus, it really helps with my mobility and now I can practice Martial Arts again:) Just try a whole bunch of "activities" and treat them like it--just have fun for the sake of fun:) Bowling, mini golf, disc golf, kayaking, etc. Soon enough, if you end up loving something, it can remotivate you! Controversial opinion: working out doesn't need to occur in the gym;) Hope this helps! And I love your vids by the way!❤

I am already a huge fan of yours and this video took me to another level. I personally struggled to keep up with allowing myself not dragging myself to the gym and Hope just normalized it in such a seamless way. EDIT: I have exhausting documentation substantiating this nightmare ordeal. I don’t want pity. I just want my life and old me back. The planner... I have a TBl.. I need this to get me off living on post its bc I can't retain any new memory & it's infuriating, debilitating, frustrating, terrifying and demoralizing. I am a single parent to a beautiful toddler, desperately trying to keep everything afloat despite not being able to work or have my own 🧠 work. Miss the old me. Five months post injury + no light at the end of the tunnel in sight. I have no idea how much longer I am going to be like this or if I can even get back to "normal". It's pretty depressing that I can't even afford something like a planner to keep myself organized when my whole life is COMPLETELY BURNING TO THE GROUND because my brain doesn't work anymore… I’m just completely at a loss tbh… 🫥

It’s frustrating but life comes at you in waves I think. What works for you at one point in time may not work for you at another

Hey hope! Honestly heres some encouragement when working out. I used to feel the exact way when working out. Always asking my self when is it over. Ive been doing it for a little while. Its all about consistency. I feel way better when i workout and it feels like loads of time passes. Im starting to enjoy working out. So my advice is that a challenge is only hard when you make it out to be. ( hope this helps😅😅) ❤❤❤❤love ur channel❤❤❤❤

The reason why I personally love the gym is that it feels like a safe space where I don’t have to think about anything but myself. Also there are many people I enjoy talking to, therefore it feels like a gathering with friends. Aw Hope, I feel the same way about the gym. It sucks to be known as the “gym girl” or the “fit girl” and then life happens and you can’t/don’t feel like working out the way you used to. Everyone still expects me to be fit and go to the gym all the time but it’s hard! It sucks that I associated my identity so much with being fit and I feel less than for not working out like I used to, like I’m letting my family and friends down in some way because I used to inspire them.
