    • Life is meant to be lived. It does not have to be tied to a specific purpose. Human beings place themselves in a very important position in the world. So human beings want to label themselves with a purpose of existence that distinguishes them from other beings. But fishes are just fishes, insects are just insects. And they just live. Until you hunt them or step on them. You know that the universe is vast. In the eyes of the different life forms that exist in the universe, human beings may be considered on the same level as fish or insects (I'm not implying that fishes or insects are less important than human beings, I'm just giving an example in general terms to make the point). So there is no ranking of the importance of things and life has no attainable goal. There is only the path you walk. That path is life itself. If you insist on answering the question what is the "meaning" of life. You can choose to answer in this way: The purpose of life is life.

    • Life is eternal. that's what makes it so different from animals' being. There is no end purpose of a human. A human is bigger than even the Universe. Human walks on it discovering pieces and puzzles of truths and helps others in need, because the life is always with other people, with the Earth, with our Universe

  • The first time I watched the movie was 2000 and I was 13 years old. Even though I didn't fully understand the movie, something about the world the movie reflected hurt me. You couldn't talk about it with anyone or read it in a book, that sheer truth just hurt. I understood this more and more as I got older. I'm 35 now and I still don't know what I want. We have to live in certain patterns and we have to work hard to get out of it. No matter how hard you try, that meaning doesn't always apply to everyone, and you realize that there is no end to this struggle.

The teachings of the Buddha. End this wretched cycle of blind existence wrapped up with wanting and getting. The end of suffering is internal. Nothing in this human realm will bring you happiness.

      @Censored.225@Censored.2258 ай бұрын
    • The struggle lies within ourselves because every single one of us is sick with an uncurable disease. It festers and becomes worse as life goes on. We go through life not even knowing the damage it is causing us. Because of the distractions. They hold us over so we don’t realize the true nature of life. Of how to make it all better. It destroys us. And eventually, it kills us. It’s our actions. Our thoughts. Our day in and day out routine. The disease is our adamic nature. In other words, our sin. You are struggling because of the things that you cannot see. The things that are tormenting your mind, of the past, of regrets, of shame, are the things that run this world. Why do you think there is so much suffering? But there’s a way out. A way to be completely free from all the things that are waging war in your head. His name is Jesus. The thoughts that he thinks of you are good. Are of love and comfort. And they outnumber every grain of sand on every single beach. He wants to talk with you, to sup with you, to abide with you. He’s standing at the door, knocking, and all you have to do is let him in.

  • If you're reading this, you know that someday your life is going to end. We have only this time to appreciate its beauty; of course, beauty isn't before us all the time, but we must try to remember it if it's not present in this moment. Besides the beauty, there's the striving. In this music, you've heard the call; try to answer.

    • Yes we know our life here is going to end, but shortness of this life was never really the problem, it is being in time that is the problem, and we don't know if that is the end, we can only believe it to be, but we are all in this journey, either we see each other on the other side, or we wont. There is so much beauty in the world, even with all the ugly and evil in the world, that I think there has to be more to this.

We have many good reasons to think theism is true, while we lack the same for atheism. Cosmic fine tuning etc, the world looks more designed today than it ever did in human history. Even the possibility of science itself counts against atheism.

      @UncriticalRaceTheory@UncriticalRaceTheory6 ай бұрын
    • @@UncriticalRaceTheory Atheism isn't a belief that something is true, not for me, anyway. It's a refusal to accept claims of theists which are unsupported by anything but rhetoric. "Fine tuning", for example, is rhetoric. You have the barest command of the talking points against atheism, and only a whiff of the talking points for your own view. Nobody's getting convinced, here. All I said was that this life is going to end. I personally don't plan on anything else.

  • Music is probably the only way for me to detach myself from this boring thing called Reality. And this one helps me so much to be able to do it, by stopping what we call Time. Yes, that’s it; stopping Time.

  • This movie will always have a place in my heart, and the title track has a profound impact on me. It’s so real and candid. It’s like you’re taking a moment to admire life as a whole picture, seeing the sorrow in beauty, as well as the beauty in sorrow. It creates the same pit in your stomach that comes from looking into another person’s eyes as they smile, but you can see the pain. There’s a story behind each person, and this song somehow feels like a reminder of that.

    • Hey i am here if you want to talk to. I have been in the same situation but i realized pain is art my art and meditated to get to this point. I hope youre doing well now. I am with you. I feel you truly. You are seen.

    • I make these extended versions precisely to be able to meditate on things and think about everything that life has given me. We all have bad days and worse days, even those days can turn into years... believe me if I tell you that I was in the same situation as you, friend. I understand you perfectly, but sometimes all you need is to cry, go for a walk and, above all, talk about it with someone who will listen to you. I focused on myself, on growing as a person and that's why every time I hear a song like this, I extend it and upload it here in case it can help someone else. I hope I have helped you a little at least. You are worth a lot, believe me, you just need a little more time to see it. I trust you, my friend. Stay safe 💙

    • Your brain (rightly so) is telling you it's from Shawshank because the central thesis of each motion picture can be shared or merged together - live on your own terms and face the existential terror of living, or die not on your own terms and wallow in passivity and inaction until death wipes you out of existence anyway. Get busy living, or get busy dying is the beating heart of both films
