Now I understand why I always see sheered matted sheep leave with some nicks. Sharp sheers, mixed with matting so close to the skin would make sense. Thanks for teaching me something new.

I'm sure she was so happy to get that hot wool off her body. What you do for the sheep and alpaca is amazing. She looks so cute now.

In high school my friend and I rescued a long haired guinea pig from a biology classroom who had terrible mats and a one inch open sore on her back. We spent two hours with fingernail scissors freeing her from all that hair, then took her to the vet for successful surgery on her cyst. She was such a happy guinea pig after that, and we found her a good forever home. The person in this video should feel good every day to help the animals feel better, with their amazing skill. Thank you for posting.

My grandfather raised sheep and seeing the tender care which you sheer them with to bring them relief brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my heart. Thank you

made me feel like crying at the end when u was praising her...saying she was like a limp noodle...and a pure champ...loved how u and ur wife made sure shes ok and pet her

Poor girl was so tired of carrying that matted weight around. It looks like she just wanted to chill and luxuriate in the relief when you were finished. And amazing work, 2 small nicks is a miracle with that dense, solid wool.
