@@user-nf3rt8eo1xthe rule is that players who have secondary altercations after the initial fight will be ejected. The fight started because the devils wanted revenge against the rangers player who injured a couple of devils players with dirty hits in previous games.
@@user-nf3rt8eo1x the reason? bad blood and Rempe is known for starting with fights (NY vs NJ and NJ basically play in NY so its a big rivalry) - sometimes you get a 'line brawl' where all three front men drop the gloves, the Rangers did this willingly by being the home team and putting our 'hardest' 4th wingers out to START the game so everyone knew a fight was coming but rarely do you get ALL 5 (and if ur real lucky a goalie fight lol) - the reason 8 got ejected is that the rules rn say when a fight starts no additional fights can or its a sususpension so all the other 4 matchups meant all 8 of the people who werent first to fight get suspendded, the guy nearest the camera who gets dropped in 4 seconds (lazar) drops the gloves and jumps on Vesey SO fast i think he knew the rule cuz he was the only devil (as vesey was the only ranger) to ONLY get a fighting penalty for 5 mins lol
