    • You never see these anymore in the play doe soft woke modern NHL. They give you a game misconduct if you fight while another fight is ongoing, which is why you don't see line brawls or goalie fights anymore. Glad to see a line brawl again, first time in a long time. Could be the last one too, with how weak the league is getting.

  • That secondary fight ejection rule should be at the referee’s discretion. That fight was more of a boys will be boys kinda thing. If it were to happen again in the same game, yeah, start tossing them out but that rule looks a little heavy handed at the start of the game.

    • Fairly common for rookies, especially out of Juniors. They get used to just being bigger being enough. Strategy and toughness matter more. That's why watching smaller guys like Tie Domi and Nic Deslauriers hold their own and win against bigger guys like Rempe is kind of an underrated part of watching hockey.

  • Reminds me of an almost line brawl during an OHL game years ago. Plymouth vs Sault Saint Marie. Tensions were high from a previous game between the two with many fights. The ref knew what to expect and all the players were jawing at each other just before the opening face-off, but without ever dropping the puck, the ref tossed both lines into the penalty box. Ten players all crammed into the penalty box was the craziest sight.
