    • Kobe and Iverson were cold-blooded Killers going at it every night. That's why they respected each other at the highest level. The difference between them was the help they got. Iverson gets a over-the-hill dikembe mutombo, and a bunch of role players... Kobe gets the most dominant big man and three-point assassin's backing him. It was never going to happen for the 76ers.

  • The symbolism of AI stepping over Lue is so poetic. The Sixers were up against a giant in the Lakers, and after hitting that step back, AI stepped over the only guy on the court shorter than him. He hadn’t just drawn first blood on the giant, he became the giant in that moment. He looked twice the size he really was in that moment.

But look at Kobe when he didn't have a team around him after Shaq left.....he took most of the shots. Look at Jordan before Pip and Phil got there, he took most of the shots. AI NEVER had a team around him, so he had to take most of the shots. No one can name one star or superstar that AI played with during his prime that was on his team. And no, Denver wasn't when he was in his prime. It was from 2000-2006. And for everyone that says he was a ball hog, these are his CAREER stats. 26.7 ppg, *6.2 apg* , 3.7 reb, 2.2 stl.

    • Not really. Mutumbo was a defensive star, but WAAY past his prime we he was traded to philly. When I mention Superstar or Star, I and most others mean good or great on both ends of the floor. Or great in one area and good in another. Mutumbo averaged like 11ppg, 12reb and 2.5 blks while in Philly. He was defense only. Not as great as everyone wants to think, otherwise he would be in the Hall of Fame already.
