Oscars 2023: Jimmy Kimmel jokes about Will Smith slap during monologue

Jimmy Kimmel parachuted onto the stage to kick off the 95th Oscars Sunday night and soon began firing off one-liners at the celebrities in attendance -- and some who were conspicuously absent.
Among those missing from the Dolby Theatre but still a key element in Kimmel's monologue: Will Smith, who earned himself a 10-year ban from the Oscars after storming the stage and slapping Chris Rock last year.

  • Will Smith ruined what should have been the greatest night of his acting career. A year later we are still talking about his stupidity and how his wife cheated on him with his Son's friend. Let that be a lesson to everyone, the angry mind is a narrow mind. I understand that his wife did not find Chris Rock's joke funny, however, Will Smith could have gone about it in a different way by asking Chris Rock for an apology which I'm sure Chris Rock would not have had a problem with that. But physically assaulting him for the whole world to see and during the Oscars and screaming at him from his chair with curse words, made Smith look like a complete thug.
