Hi, my name is Jill Cimorelli and I'm a content creator and actress living in Los Angeles. I'm passionate about creating content that helps everyone find practical solutions to living their best life. I love sharing my everyday life through these vlogs as well as discussing fashion, beauty, lifestyle, skincare, and sustainability.
FYI everyone, the revlon brush is on sale right now! Linked in my bio if you’re interested 🥰
You’re supposed to wait for your hair to dry about 80% and then go through with the brush. It’s much faster that way and reduces the frizz!
I do the same thing. I blow dry it when it's damp and it does the trick!
I have this tool and it’s useful for me as someone with kinky hair. I can’t just wash my hair then straighten it with an iron. I have to blow dry 1st with either a traditional blow dryer or something like this. I like this because it’s a little easier to use than a traditional blow dryer and then I’ll go in with an iron. It’s always interesting to see how things work on different hair textures! Great review :)
Always so interesting seeing what other's processes are since everyone's hair is so different! Thanks for commenting :)
Looking absolutely gorgeous today! That red sweater looks great! Thanks for being you, and letting us visit!
omg your hair looks amazing!! seems like an awesome product! ✨
Jill, your hair looks amazing!! I am so happy you're uploading so frequently!! Always excited for a new vlog! :) much love from Germany, maike!💗
aww yay! glad you're liking the videos :)
Thank you so much for this, I have similar hair like you and I was just going to buy this imagining it would be very quick and veryy smooth and voluminous in a good way, but I think I need to rethink placing that order, thank you💕
Thank you for the review! I think it’s an easier way to blow drying
I’ve been waiting for the day when the “happy birthday if today is your birthday” is to me, and it finally is!! I loved it haha thank you!💕
Happy birthday!
Omg yay! Happy happy birthday!!!! 🎉
@@JillCimorelli thank you!😭❤️
@@kayleemccauley4032 thank you!!
I have a knockoff version from Amazon and I love it for my hair type. I have a lot of fine hair with loose curls and I usually use it to quickly tame my second day (dry with some heat protectant) hair, but it never straightens my hair. I do still like the end results with a little bit of hair oil or something to put some moisture back in.
I have the same hair and length so this was very helpful!
The realness, thank you! Many will benefit from this video seeing your actual experience Jill, this is so helpful I immediately thought of you with a styling product I've seen that I think you'll love, it's the Kristen Ess Hair Water. There's a little section of "how to" that lists multiple ways to use it and I think it'll be a great match 🧡
Cool, I'll have a look at it! Thank you :)
I have curly hair as well and if I want to straighten it, I use the hot tools pressional brand hair drying brush which is basically like the Revlon. Before I dry my hair though I put in CHI keratin leave in conditioner, (which can be found on Amazon) plus I use 1 pump of keratin oil, and small amount of anti frizz (both i picked up at TJ Maxx). Let my hair dry a bit before using the heated tool then have at it. My hair comes out super shiny and silky and definitely looks super healthy which is a plus since my hair is brown with lots of blond highlights which is damaging enough to the hair. Sometimes I'll go in with a straightener but most of the time I just leave as is. I know though if living in an area with some moisture in the air it can kind of bring back the curls or make it frizz, but I use to live in SLO/pismo beach area and to me it seems to withstand that moisture then again I know everyone's hair is different. This is just something that works for me so it could work or help you if you'd like to try it. Hopefully it helps on your hair journey. 😁
I really love the Lange one! I definitely notice how smooth it makes my hair. And it’s only 100
Ooo I haven’t heard of it. Should I test it? 👀
How come you wet your hair when you’re straightening it? Like with the spray bottle? Also, I have this tool and it works pretty well for me but I only use it when it’s 80% dry. However it really damages the top of my hair
I like your honest review .
I have curly hair and can get professional blow out results very easily, however I have 1/3 the amount of hair. It’s a great tool, but it there’s even a tiny bit of humidity in the air, my hair will frizz up in a couple of hours. I wouldn’t recommend this, especially if you need additional heat from a straightening iron. 💗
I have the same brush which I bought at Sally's. I always go back and flat iron my hair afterwards because otherwise after a few minutes it'll look like I stuck my finger in a light socket.
My all time favorite tool to contain my crazy hair is my one upper straightening brush from head kandy and their third wheel keratin spray is amazing.
Never heard of it! I'll check it out!
@@JillCimorelli I use alot of their products. They are all great!!
great video your hair looks nice
Love the look of your hair in the opening shot with the red shirt. Hair looks like you might have used a straightener and has a little off center part. LOVE IT!!!
Definitely used the straightener! hahah
I have the Amazon version of this product. It works better for me when my hair is almost fully dry but I would suggest using the brush under your hair hair instead of over. And when you get to the ends you can kind of turn the brush as if you’re trying to get a little curl at the bottom. I find that helps with frizz and texture so that you don’t have to go over with another tool. I’d also suggest using bigger chunks of hair if you want less volume.
But it’s definitely better for wavy hair or looser curls than yours -at least the Amazon version is!
I recommend using blow drier first than using only flat iron. Flat iron damages hair too
you look so pretty ❤❤❤
Thank you! :)))
I have curly hair and I absolutely love the revlon brush! I use it more like a round brush when drying my hair. I also let my hair dry a bit before using - it's better to do so than to have soaking wet hair. My hair has never turned out frizzy and i have never had to iron my hair after. I would try again using different techniques to see if it makes a difference on your hair.
Yes I probably will! But also, what I said at the end stands true where I don't think I reaalllyyyyy need a tool like this in general. But I'm open to trying again :)
hi jill, conor,Molly the cat!!! love your hair!! Revlon!! Thanks jill!!❤ love your hair!! love to you guys ❤❤ peace ✌out yeahhhhhh girl!!!!!
Also you have to blow dry and straighten curly hair in sections. I would also look at naturally curly hair to straight hair videos they use a comb or brush with a flat iron. You basically stopped at after blowing drying. That’s perfectly fine too. We would call that just stretching your hair either for a protective style or the next step of a flat iron. I hope this comment is not coming off rude I just see some things that could have given you a better expectation of this blow dryer.
Hi Jill your hair looks so good, I’m going to be studying my diploma this weekend I’m studying neuropsychology and criminal psychology hope you have a good weekend to love and hugs to cutie mollie xxxxx
If you want it to straighten your hair, adding more water defeats the purpose. Just use your hair heat protection and you should be good :) I have super curly hair too
I have pin straight, thin hair and my hair comes out frizzy
It seems to be more for getting wavy hair straight rather than curly hair...
I can certify that the Revlon will kill your curly hair!. I would recommend to buy the Dyson, you will see the difference. I love your straight hair once in a while! You look younger and fresh..
Eh as I said I don’t need a wet to dry tool so I will not be spending that kind of money on a dyson. I am intrigued to try one now though on my hair after trying this, just as an experiment
@@JillCimorelli Try the bondi boost or the brush X - the revlon is really hard on hair
For this tool to work properly & not cause too much damage (it’s known to cause breakage), your hair has to be 80% dry
My friend actually told me that after that I should try it more dry. But that’s when I felt like it was damaging my hair the most and just frying it out 😩
Personally not a fan of the reveling dryer! It damaged my hair so much!! :(
OK, but can we just talk about your 'brows?! Gorge!!!
heheh thank you!!!!
Weekend plans = 🍷 😉
Same same Min! 🍷🍷
You definitely have 3b/3c curls. Curls in the “2” are more wavy at the roots vs your hair is more frizzy and extremely curly. Your hair is coily and kinky and not a soft curl. Maybe identifying it as such can help hear you towards more appropriate products to help you with the frizzy roots. Visit a curl expert at Thairapy salon in south Pasadena! You will not regret it
I’ll look into Thairapy! My hair is deffff wavy at the roots though. And then becomes much more coily as it gets further down my hair.
@@JillCimorelli you’ll love it there! They’re really nice and super knowledgeable.
It’s giving me Eep from The Croods vibes lol.
dead ahahahaha
Traveling to see family...for a health emergency. Prayers would be greatly appricated.
