  • It would be great if they included like 3 different brush sizes since it’s removable. A smaller one, then the new one as the medium size, then one that’s somewhat larger than the original. Having the snap-on head is great for storage, travel, and cleaning, but not including multiple sizes in the plus is a missed opportunity to me.

  • So happy to hear the 1st ones better for longer hair. I bought the first one just in the last couple weeks and then of course another new one comes out! I just had a surgery for double mastectomy and it’s been hard styling my hair like before and this blower brush helped soo much. ✨ Girlz PLZ stay on top of your breast health!! DO NOT WAIT TILL 40 FOR A MAMMOGRAM! ESP if you have lumps or concerns! Trust me at 35 I can attest it happens you get then 40s✨ It has made styling my hair much quicker and less work yet looks better! I’m having less damage and after my treatments my hairs improving greatly instead of just repairing heat damage like before. I love how the next day after styling about 5 min just re going over what I did the day before adds the volume and curls the ends without having to completely wet and restyle it altogether. Your last video sent me scrambling to Amazon and now I’m glad I don’t feel I need to upgrade so soon because the features are way better 😀

  • Hi, professional hairstylist of 26 years here. It’s worth noting, if ppl are worried about burning their hair, and considering how hot you mention these brushes get in the video, I would be leaning towards the older model with ceramic instead of titanium barrel. Titanium is a metal and is a conductive heat, which singes the hair as it heats the outside cuticle of the follicle. Ceramic on the other hand is a radiant heat, and tends to heat the hair more gently from the inside out.

After a while you will notice all the bristles are shorten and completely burnt down. Where in the begging of purchasing this blower you will notice the bristles are nice long and fluffy. After a while, they will be gone and completely melted lol now I think about with that does to your hair.

  • I’ve used the original for about 4 years- L.O.V.E. It. ✨ TIPS✨ -Don’t use it on soaking wet hair. Make sure your hair is at least 70% dry. -Start with the bottom and work your way up. -Work in small sections. -Continuously turn and pull the dryer so there is always tension on the hair- that’s what straightens it. -Keep going past the point of your hair feeling dry. -If you want more volume, pull the dryer straight upward. If you want bouncy ends, pull the dryer out to the sides. 🔮 Your hair will be beautiful! 🔮

  • I recently purchased the older version. It was actually $25 less than the newer one, at my target. I’ve been loving it so far. I have medium length hair, dense and wavy hair.

    @lorenaarnette6395@lorenaarnette63952 жыл бұрын
  • For the Type 4 hair folks: if you have fine strands, I do *not* recommend the high heat setting for this dryer. 1) it gets hot, hot, so definitely use heat protectant even if using the cool setting, and 2) that high heat setting is not the best for fine fragile strands, imho. If you have coarse strands (a larger strand diameter) then maybe your hair can handle that high heat setting, but I’d start with the medium heat setting first. Tip: That 2nd mannequin had a silkier, wavy, not coily hair pattern so keep that in mind as looser wave & curl patterns straighten differently. I have fine, fragile type 4 hair that’s low to medium density-meaning when straightened, the diameter of my ponytail is only 1”-and it doesn’t require a lot of heat; I start with heat protectant on really damp hair and only use the medium heat setting with this dryer, and then do one pass with the Remington Pearl pro flat iron (on 360° to 380°), and my hair ends up looking just like the first mannequin’s 1st results. I’ve used the high heat setting *after* hair was already dried using the medium heat to achieve a textured blow out rather than bone straight hair with a flat iron. Btw: I have the ceramic version (the older dryer) and my “combination hair” is mid-back length, with 45% to 50% shrinkage rate.

It’s a learning process, so what’s the point of making mistakes if I & others don’t learn from them 😉 but if possible definitely consult knowledgeable professionals who are trained and specialize in natural hair care.

  • I think I'm using the older version like from last year. I'm disabled and I can't do the brush and dryer thing because of my left arm. I used to just blow dry my hair upside down because I only needed one hand and then I would spend over 2 hours straightening it with help sometimes if my pain was really bad. My hairstylist recommended the Revlon dryer to me because of her other clients. It has literally saved me. I can now dry my hair with my good arm (yes it takes a bit longer) but I look like I just walked out of the salon. Thank you Revlon. And all the people who recommend it. I no longer have to look like a slob everyday. I already feel like one being disabled. At least now I can look somewhat presentable ❤❤

    @brooklyn_716@brooklyn_7162 жыл бұрын
    • Hey, just wanted to chime in. I also can only use one arm to dry and for years have been using the CONAIR® 1875 WATT 3-IN-1 DRYER. I’d recommend trying it since it can be used without flipping upside down. I also find I get a smoother blowout with it than with this revlon, faster too. It’s pretty cheap and I replace at least twice a year but because I can’t use both arms for a smooth blowout this is the price I pay. Good luck!!

I'm half way through doing my whole head of thick coarse shoulder length hair and I'm IN LOVE! I had watched a couple other reviews and then saw this one and said "ok, I know I can trust Brad Mondo." So, I bought it. SO MUCH EASIER than doing my hair myself with a round brush and dryer! Now I need to go buy some Brad Mondo hair products to replace the "other" thermal protectant.

  • I have the first one BUT I bought the short/medium hair version so it had the barrel of the new. And I found it 45% off…basically a really good deal ! I often put my hair in a big clip while they cool down to avoid them catching moisture and losing the blowout. It’s rare but when you do this in the bathroom after a shower, it happens. But HELL THIS IS A LIFE SAVER ! I know how to do my blowout but this brush helps me a lot, I have a free hand and I can use it to guide my hair a lot better than the usual blowout I do. *Less time consuming too so less damage on your hair* 👍👍

  • I have a Revlon dryer brush that rotates. It’s 8ish years old, and I really love it. It rotates clockwise and counterclockwise to get all the hair curled under or flipped out. The barrel is plastic, but it gets hot enough. I have been giving myself salon quality blowouts Duchess Catherine would be proud of. I even grew my hair out for the first time since I was a kid because I could style it so well. I haven’t seen the brush often online so I guess it didn’t sell well or something. Babybliss makes a titanium rotating one which I’m going to get when mine gives up the ghost. I have been a huge fan of blow dry brushes since the 90s. They work really well for shorter hair and give you a lot of volume. I’m left handed and can not blow dry my hair with a round brush. The last time my dryer brush died I bought the rotating brush and fell in love with it. Even my hair stylist was blown away by my blowout that was 3 days old when I last saw her. I love how the rotation gives you tension and smooths the hair. The different directions let you get lots of volume and shine. I use a regular dryer and get my hair about 1/3rd of the way dry then section off my hair and use the dryer brush. I also use Oribe Royal Blowout before blow drying and and Oribe Dry Texture spray at the end. I’m a huge fan of Oribe styling products. They’re excellent and smell divine. I’ve never found a perfume I love as much (Oribe’s perfume is more musky than the hair care products)

Haven't touched my straightener ever since I bought this, it's super easy to handle imo and I personally didn't notice any heat damage since I started using this. • Hi Brad. I was telling someone that I went to hairdressing school in 84-85 and the things that have come out not since I went to school but in the last 10 years. We never had a heat protector or a styling with blow drying all in one. First we blew it out then a curling iron if they wanted any kind of curl. Also the prices were so much less then today. We had to buy everything including hairspray for school. It wasn't cheap to go to school and we had to provide EVERYTHING. It still amazes me that the schools do not provide anything. After changing careers I went to work for a casino and they provided everything for Blackjack school. Thank you for sharing

  • I bought the older style late 2021 and paid $50 Canadian and love it. I use it on low heat which works well even though I have thick long wavy hair. I also use it to dry my hair which does it much faster than my blow dryer. I find the low heat versus high heat on mine is vastly different and the only time I use it on high is when my hair is quite wet and only for the first few minutes. As far as curl goes, the old style actually does well at giving the bottom a curve.

It has made my life so much easier! However, if you have fine or/and straight hair it wouldn't really do much more for you than a regular hairdryer and a brush!

  • I have naturally frizzy type 2C/3A hair. I recently bought this hair dryer, and I only put heat protector on my hair before use. No other product. And my hair is amazingly smooth, soft, and silky. Usually I would put a bit of Argan oil to ease down the frizz, but I didn't need to with this blow dryer! It's the next day right now and my hair is still not frizz, still with zero other product. So for my hair type, I don't think I need to put any product when using this hair dryer. Mind you, my hair is weird. When it's curly, it's dry and drinks up all the moisture it can find; however, when it's straight, it becomes oily and any other product will weigh the hair down. This hair dryer basically helps my hair get that volume I have been looking for whenever I wanted to wear my hair straight. This project gave me amazing results that my mom kept the hair dryer for herself and now I had to buy another one lol.

    @Sinmerina@Sinmerina2 жыл бұрын
    • My hair sounds almost identical to yours. Dry when it's curly, but gets oily at my scalp very quickly when I wear it straight. I let my hair go grey about 7 years ago now, so I wonder how it would do on uncoloured/natural hair. My hair is fine, but I have a ton of it. I think I may have to buy it just to try it out. :)

    • @@TheLstark ok, so I honestly couldn't remember when I bought it, so I looked for my email. I bought it January 2020, which means I've had it longer than I realized. The original one only has the 2 speeds; one that is high and super hot and the low to me doesn't have near enough of heat or air to work on my hair. My hair is a combo of 2b and 3a, but very, very thick (I'm Caucasian, I didn't know if that would be helpful info 😊); so much so, that I use my regular dryer to get the heavy wetness out before using the volumizer. But I would say my dry time is 6-7 minutes. But since it's a bob (my bottom layer is about one inch long at the back of my neck), I don't bother sectioning unless I get a wild hair (pun intended 😉). Overall, I would think that the bigger brush would work better for longer hair, to get more root lift. If you have any other questions, I'll answer the best I can 😊
