  • Thank you for all the wonderful service you give our country and keeping us safe, if it be the army, air force , navy or marines our country is so very grateful to you all

  • Do not take your anger out on the brave that fight instead take your anger to the politicians that sent your brave to a war. The women and men that fight deserve your love and support when they need it most and always your respect for the brave might have saved or will save your life one day with there own. From canada to the ungrateful of nations including in canada honor and respect I have and my love and support to you and your family's.

  • This is one thing that any Service Man and Service Woman is not trained to do.It is through their Quick Action,Bravery and Valour that will change the Outcome. They are all Heroes.

  • All these men and women are Heroic beyond words. They deserve so much more than a tin badge. They and their family's should be financially set for life, and want for nothing. The Top Brass get nice FAT Pensions, without ever hearing a round pass within a mile of their fat heads. While the rank and file die on their cost cutting exercises. So unfair!

  • I like the comments about "just doing our jobs . . ." I've known people who have gotten awards for bravery: Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, Silver Star down to Boy Scout Heroism medal. Every one of them has said something similar. "I just did what needed to be done" or "I did something really stupid and it worked out." Bravo Zulu.

  • In most cases officers get gongs for simply doing their jobs. Other ranks get medals for doing their job to an exceptional standard or above and beyond their job.

    • Not true.... that chap in DPM say next to the Matelot medic is Jim A, a Lt who went fixed in a waddi against a number of taliban... this officer deserves his gong....
