  • Growing up as an orphan, siblings shot dead and some passed on due to illnesses but soldiered on in the tough rural areas of South Africa and then u defeat every adversity and score the 1st try in a World Cup final Mapimpi not only are you a sporting hero but you are an inspiration to millions of suffering South Africans and a testament to not giving up in life. Springboks had to win this cup and change millions of lives back in Africa.

  • In my opinion, the best Rugby World Cup final and tournament of all time! I remember Billy Vunipola stating in an interview days before the final, how the England forwards were planning to bully the Springboks. He was obviously ignorant of how incredibly tough and resilient South Africans are. After the game Billy looked as if he was totally crushed by a tank, bloodied, beaten up and comprehensively defeated! Next time, think before you open your mouth! Great performance by the Boks, especially Malcolm Marx and Lukhanyo Am who were very much involved in both tries! Also I really believe that the Japanese people were mainly responsible for the success of the tournament!

    • @ RG Considering English players were on a media ban during the tournament and in the final week only Farrell, George and Forde, Underhill and Curry attended the official press events, you just invented that Vunipola narrative to reinforce your lie about a slight made by Vunipola about the Springbok. Boks won a great victory and were deserving RWC champions and yet instead of celebrating the win, you decided to invent an interview that never happened to allow yourself the opportunity to berate the player for a quote he never made. What is wrong with you ? Rassie, Kolisi and the Bok players showed their class in the way they conducted themselves as true winners and sportsmen, respecting and praising their opponents for a good final . And yet you in some way seem to think that by inventing an interview and a slight made against the Boks by Vunipola and then using your own lie to berate that same player that you are somehow elevating the enormity of the Boks win ? You haven’t you just exposed yourself as a liar

Also if it was a question from the press how was it the England Media team allow it to get out ? Also why was this not a big story at the time ? A comment like that would have been big news before a final. And yet it wasn't.. I will take your word about this as unlikely as it sounds , but without context how can I comment. Regardless even if Billy did make such a comment, fo you really think that anything he said would have galvanised the Boks further to win the final ? It doesn't make any sense

The only criticism I have of this video is that there were significant moments in the match that are not included here. Beast scrumming Sinckler into the ground in the opening minutes was a massive moment and then there were the last 10 or so minutes in the first half where England were within five metres of the Springbok tryline but just could not penetrate that incredible defence.
