    • Spot on. But that's what happen when you steal the hosting because you believe home advantage will give your team a better chance. In fact, maybe they believed it will guarantee them the title. And in deliberately trying to intimidate the Boks they behaved like a bunch of jerks. This champion Springbok team showed the world how to filter out all of that garbage in a hostile environment and lift the WEC for the 4th time.......... in France again

  • Many would disagree, but Pollard brought the World Cup home. Not to take away from any other player, but without Pollards Boot we would have lost the Quater's, and if not, we would definitely have lost the Semi's and by chance if we scrapped by a miracle through the semi finals, we would 1,000,000% DEFINITELY have lost the Finals. Goes to show how important a solid kicker is in a squad.

  • People can say what they want but they know how to win. On stats they basically won the IRE game comfortably but their kicking was terrible that match, think they missed 14 points that day with missed kicks but you have to give this SA side credit. They had the most difficult road to the finals, sometimes you just have to be lucky on certain occasions but brilliance creates those lucky situations. They fully deserve to be champions.

  • And now that everything has been said and done (lots and lots of debates and arguments for the last four years 😂), the Boks have retained the William Webb Ellis Trophy 💪, have made history by becoming the first team to win RWC a fourth time 💪, now sport a 50% win percentage (four titles from eight attempts 💪 as against New Zealands 30% with three wins from 10 attempts 😉), have still not lost a RWC final they have played in 💪 (as against New Zealand's two losses 😉, both against SA 💪) and are ranked No 1 in the world 💪, almost four points 💪 ahead of pre-tournament favourites 😂 Ireland, who have still not progressed 😂 beyond the quarter finals in a RWC tournament! And as a bonus: we have the bragging rights for ANOTHER four years! 🍷🎶🎂💪 Now considering also that the Boks had led the All Blacks on test victories between them non-stop for more than 70 years from the 1920s to 1990s, there can be no doubt that the Springboks are rugby's greatest union ever. Sure, the Boks have suffered some serious defeats since the 1990s, especially against New Zealand, but the effect of rugby sanctions and the introduction of race quotas in South African rugby at the time should never be overlooked. It led to many former Boks, coaches and administrators turning their backs on the game. Despite that, however, the Boks still dominated Rugby World Cup since their first participation in 1995, having been banned from the first two events in 1987 and 1991 (which they may well have won too). But here's an important question: how did New Zealand (one of the fiercist protagonists against the Boks' "racist" teams back in the day) escape scrutiny of their own racist rugby past? The All Blacks toured South Africa in 1970 with a SINGLE player of colour, the late, great Bryan Williams, yet today half of their team is made up of players of colour. Where were their players of colour in the 70s then? Was it racism? Discrimination? Apartheid? And how come many if not most of their current coloured players are actually players who identify as Samoan, Tongan or Fijian? Were they "imported" in underhand ways? Bottom line: the Oceanians (once known as the All Blacks) have always had a rather murky rugby history, extending to this day. In reality, the All Blacks have no claim to having been, or being, the greatest rugby union ever. Everything considered, that title convincingly belongs to the Mighty Springboks. 😉💪

    • Your knowledge of AllBlacks in 1970 shows that you know nothing. When the All Blacks toured in 1970 they sent a multiracial team, not as a result of international pressure softening South African resolve, but because the South African government allowed Māori to travel as 'honorary whites'. Many Māori and other NZL players refused to be deemed as an ‘honorary white’. The term is disgusting! Our players didn’t need to be part of South Africa’s apartheid…we wanted nothing to do with racial discrimination and terminology. And again….stick to facts….AllBlacks still to this day hold higher stats than Springboks over history of rugby. It is no wonder that so much of the international community is hating on the Boks with disingenuous comments like yours. There are countries such as France and Ireland who can easily beat the Boks. NZL can too. Show respect and learn humility.
