This decline in elevation is increasing the risk of natural disasters and land collapse. Why is this happening? Mainly because China is sinking under the weight of infrastructure. I live by the ocean and the same high water marked by decades of water stain have not changed since I first noticed them as a child in the early 80's. So why is it the same level here but rising elsewhere? Smells like bull$hit to me about the sea rising.
The place you live in has probably not seen much urban construction, i.e., buildings and infrastructure, so has not sunk. You are blessed.
That's not how it works. All places in the world do not experience the same amount of sea level rise. The currents and local geographical features make a big difference.
