Detaching from NATO without a solid plans, merely to achieve independed military capabilities, sound like a recipe for desister. Imagine budgets being redirected to military instead of economy, and playing power games with Russia, instead of peace negotiations and long term cooperation, that's very dangerous and kind of matterial for desister.

not true. I have seen a lot of germans on my vacation in France and french on vacation in Germany. Polish are everywhere and my best friend is a Pole. Nobody hates each other here in Europe.
