COMING face to face with two 15-foot pythons would be enough to terrify anybody, but one father-daughter duo is showing the world that snakes are not a species to be feared. Ed is a proud owner of two reticulated pythons - six-year-old Sonny and five-year-old Cher. Emi, Ed’s seven-year-old daughter, can often be seen on social media cuddling and playing with the snakes - totally unphased by their size or capacity for danger.

Wolves(And other dogs) generally won't attack humans unless cornered, in a pack, or injured. Tigers & other huge cats are usually injured. I like the idea of a gard snake
It's actual a real danger. Snakes learn and adapt very quickly but they dont forget a new habit. Right now they're docile because thats the habit they've learned. If someone were to break into the home and cause the snakes to enter into fight mode, the snake will retain that mode and no longer be docile ever again. 1 bad experience and there goes your pet snake. This is why snakes have been known to "hold a grudge". They may be nice here but they're from domesticated creatures. I hope these animals never experience their fight mode activated. I wouldn’t go that far. People can be worse because we’re self conscious. We understand our own vulnerability, and when we understand it for ourselves, now we know how others are vulnerable. And we can use that to hurt others. But it’s not fair to think so terribly of humans for this ability. Life’s hard in general and living as a self conscious creature is no easy task. I think its pretty dang complicated really. Being self conscious means we have more responsibility to act morally then animals that just act within their own natures.

“stay with me forever cher” HIT ME RIGHT IN THE FEELS-
You can tell by how the daughter acts that this man is a great father! It takes a lot of work and appreciation to teach your children to be so gentle and understanding
i like how Cher protecting her, and how they snaked around her :3 it's so cute tbh.
Snakes have 0 protective instincts. It tolerated her, that's all.
@@925263 you could have let them believe that the snake cared
Contrary to popular belief animal studies have revealed snakes have maternal instincts, To me it seemed cher was trying to keep her warm as she would her as she would her young but that’s just personal observation I’m still trying to learn because I’m considering a snake for a pet.
I applaud him for letting the crew in and explaining how he interacts with his snakes
My heart. I got my first snake this year. He’s a Ball Python. I also suffer from anxiety and have found that holding my boy calms me down and puts me in the moment. He’s currently getting me through my seasonal depression. ❤️
Beautiful snakes. It is gratifying to see you teaching your daughter to love and respect these much maligned animals.
Snakes are such sweet, lovely, theraputic animals, and its lovely to see young children learning from a young age to love and respect them!!
It's much better that way.🐍💚💛🍃🌿
Other kids: I had a dog or cat. This kid: I had a snake
a 15 foot reticulated python, to be more specific
Having a pet snake in general isn't as abnormal as you think.
@@theneighborsdog5625 Yes, but it's mostly ball pythons or corn snakes, not reticulated pythons.
Other kids: for lunch?
I had my ball python at 13. I feel just as lucky as this jungle girl.
Pythons are the sweetest little noodles! Like he says as long as they’re handled with care, they’re not aggressive at all. I used to be so scared of snakes til my family got one, now I love him like he’s part of the family ❤️
Social anxiety logic we dont fear death but fear others alike lol
3:54 OMG, this is freaking adorable! My heart is melting.
I think the most adorable one was her on the computer and the snake relaxing with her.
Narrator: scary snake Me: awww snek
Emi is a adorable and a sweet child, She is lucky to have a friend that loves her❤️
I have a 7 foot boa and she is my therapy animal, there is something about the way they lay on you it has a calming effect on me
"Rapunzel can wear ANYTHING" Emilia knows what's up
He probably gets really relaxed do to the weight of the snakes on him. It might simulate a weighted blanket tbh
Thought that too... Plus the fact that he has too keep calm to not frighten the animal
That makes a lot of sense. Anytime I've had the pleasure of handling one of the beauties I've had the warm and relaxing calm just kinda wash over me
Don’t know why but I genuinely think a snake of any age is way more cute than a newborn puppy or kitten. Especially when you get a solid younger flick. This video defines wholesome
*Such a young Pokémon trainer! I really love her shiny ekans!*
I feel so much love and positive energy from this little family. Ppl can be very dramatic if they see something they are not used too. I am so happy for this little family ❤️
I absolutely love it when a parent raises their children to be gentle to the animals. Bless them ❤
That’s amazing. I follow him on Instagram. I’m glad he and his daughter got recognition for their great relationship with their pythons.
Beautiful daughter, Beautiful daddy, Beautiful snakes 💖💖💖💖
4:11 little girl: *chilling watching her movies* Yellow snake: *chilling out* “Wassup Bae?¿” Lol biggest flex photo ever 😂
Way to go Ed! Glad to see you getting some recognition for your amazing family!
It's really nice to know that people have respect as much as they do to snakes, and I can relate to the entire thing of why they love snakes
Children with accents are amazing
I have to comment on this.I agree with everything this guy said.Whenever I am around a snake or holding one I instantly become calm,no matter if I had a bad day or not,I am instantly smiling when I am around them 🐍They are so much nicer than people.I am so obsessed with snakes😀
Off course, you become calm. U whole body has gone into shock.the blood in ur body freezes and ur stuck in one place! I think?
It is quite amazing to see how well the snakes perceive the girl, the way they look at her and chill with her, its kinda crazy how sweet it all is 😭
This brought big ugly emotional tears to my eyes. I cried to hard. What a beautiful relationship
They almost got me Linzi.,... see I can't hardly type...don't we just love it.
Absolutely adorable. Now that's a responsible parent and reptile owner.
Nicer than most humans! Sadly so true. Beautiful snakes. What a adorable little girl! “Stay with me forever Cher” beyond adorable! These snakes love her!
Kudos to him for being brave and showing the reptile hobby in a way that isnt all made up drama. I have serious social problems, and im also a snake keeper so for me this was very touching. He was honest in that they are apex predators who can , unser the right conditions, cause harm. But, they are not man eaters. If cared for properly, respected, and supervised, they are the best pets ever imo
Does it not concern you when the snake was wrapped around her?
@@PointNemo9 Nope. It knows her, it wouldn't hurt her they really are the most gentle creatures with someone they trust.
I love the way ur being very respectful towards every human being and other living being, means u will always treat them right...thank you
Why is pure hate towards everything is so embedded into most people's soul?
