2021 Peugeot 3008: Facelift plug-in crossover has plenty of appeal
The Peugeot 3008 has been one of the best crossovers on sale since the current model arrived in 2016. With its 2021 facelift it's now better than ever, and is available with a range of powertrains that include petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid. In this CarGurus UK review, Rebecca Jackson tests the Hybrid 225 model with its eight-speed automatic gearbox. Is it the best 3008 of all?

3 years ago I chose a 3008 instead of a BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA, it has been a superb car. Recently drove from Birmingham to Glasgow non-stop with no issues, the seats are that good.
Peugeot have a good design team.
I so like to join them!
You make excellent car reviews - I'm impressed!
professional and very informative, thank you.
These Peugeot's have a very nice feel when drive and also the interior materials feel so smooth and premium. I really like the electric versions.
love the front emblem
Great car that's why it's the best in the class
Nice review and thanks for your nice, slow and easy to understand english. 👍😊
Fantastic review marvelous SUV
3008, toda una belleza Saludos desde Panamá
I have ordered the 2023 3008 GT Diesel in black I have part ex my 2015 5008 so looking forward to getting behind that wheel.
You haven't lost your touch Rebecca. Lovely review. Stay safe kiddo.
Good review. Personally I prefer the previous front-end styling, which I think is lovely. To me this looks a little busy. But 3008's are fantastic cars.
I've got a 2019 Peugeot 3008 and I must say that it's the best car I've ever owned and I stumbled across it by accident. I'm looking to upgrade my petrol to Hybrid-petrol and can't wait.
Just got mine .... IT IS SUPERB !!!!!
I have a 2018 3008 gt-line 1.6 165 hp. Eat6.. and I absoluty love it, but I just bought a 2021 3008 hybrid4 ltd. 300 hp. I get it in 6 days, can't wait.. really great Cars! 👍
Have you still got it and how did you find it? @jesperlehmann4336
I’ve ordered the GT PREMIUM 1.6 petrol version, I was going for the hybrid but no garage or handy electric points and charging would be a real pain. I went for metallic black with black pack, I’ve only ever found one photo of one and it looks awesome. I can’t wait for this beautiful beast to arrive, 4 or 5 months dealer reckons.
This is exactly the spec I have my eye on. Just doing a bit more looking around before I make my final decision. What's the wait time currently from ordering to delivery? Hope you enjoy your new car. Looks fab!
Also where did you see the black w/ black pack photo?
@@Kaye_J.A the dealer said towards end of year and no idea where I found the image but it was only one I could find and it looks stunning. I was going just for white with the two tone black but so pleased I didn’t
Love this car! Just upgraded from a 2017 model of the 3008 to a new Hybrid4 GT line, and what an upgrade. Putting it in Sport Mode is awesome. Only thing I miss from the previous one(diesel) is the fuel consumption. But the electric gets us through our daily drive in town which is great. It would be great if this model would come in a full electric!
Thanks for your comment. I currently own a 2019 GT Line diesel and I'm considering the same as yours. I've been offered £29,000 for mine against a new 300 Hybrid. Cheers. Paul.
Hey how many miles do you get with the phev?
@@taz2392 During summer I get around 34 miles just on the electric, during winter it's around 12 miles. But, I live in Iceland and the cold is not helping.
@@npr1300A8 Sorry on the super late reply! Just curious, did you upgrade to the new Hybrid?
@Baldur Árnason Hi Baldur. After a couple of little problems with my order of the 2021 Hybrid4 GT in red (somebody at the dealer ordered grey so I cancelled but they redeemed themselves by sourcing the exact model I'd wanted) I finally took delivery of my car last week. After driving for 667 miles, the only gripes I have compared to my 2019 diesel model are the lower MPG and the adaptive cruise control. Whilst I see it as a safety feature, it would be nice to be able to disable it. I think technology can make some drivers complacent and lazy and long term be less able to manually control the vehicle in an emergency situation. Otherwise, I'm delighted with my purchase.
3008 is really an awesome car 🇫🇷😎 That interior.
Great review. Hope your thumb is better soon
Don't spec the panoramic sunroof unless you're my height ( and always sit in the back ?)
Does anyone know why you can't get a heated steering wheel on any model, seems odd at this price point.
Banana returns!
great review. this vehicle would be a much better choice for north american sale instead of importing the jeep renegade.
The most beautiful SUV at this time and one of the best overall in terms of quality, specs, economy and reliability.
Great review for a great car.
@@Anonymous-ib8so I can clearly see that you don't have idea about car

Just Excellent!
My 💓 just skipped a beat Rebecca! You make car reviews a pleasure to watch ☺
Simp.
Love the. It's going to be my next car
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. The GT Line will the most choice In the UK
We have the 1.2 GT line love everything about it , fuel consumption could be better 34ish to a gall0n
Thing is Rebecca the wheel sizing, looks as if its running on R18's which for me could be a problem as I prefer R17's, so that extra inch of height gives it smoother control over British roads. Point 2 looks as if it could easily be converted to a Camper Car and that suits me to a T.
Mine has 18s and it is super smooth, 3 years over all types of road, including very rough agricultural ones to get to photo shooting sites 😁
Just ordered a 225 hybrid. I’m going to seriously miss my Alfa Giulia but it will be more practical.
The more I see other compact SUVs the more the Tucson 2022 is a game changer.
Tuscon is a great car but it can't compere a ds7, 3008 or a xc40
@@pap_chr5063 In features? engine? hybrid? phev? tech? interior? exterior? price? it was 2022 Consumer Reports Compact SUV of the year in North America, will have to check how it did in Europe.
@@estebanpacheco7102 the interior of of these cars have a lot better quality than a tuscon. Huyndai has many scratchy plastics. Also the design isn't near as good as a 3008 which has won so many design awards or a ds7 too. Also they come with 300hp and 4x4. And they are very hightech too, they have everything. But they are a lot more expensive than a tuscon
@@pap_chr5063 Thats exactly the point, in order to get to the level of tech, features, space and value that the tucson gives you from the 3008 or the ds7, even if you get Tucsons top trim phev you have to pay 25% more of what the tucson costs.
Did Rebecca pull her full size handbag from the centre console? Trying to ascertain if Becca has more coats and jackets than me..
Yep, it is a cavern, I drop my big dSLR camera in there to keep it out of sight
I have a mark II 2014 3008. The centre console is the same system. So big your whole arm disappears inside it, so I know she can fit a handbag inside there. Although I love my diesel manual entry level version. I would be so sad to see it go. I am looking to get this new version some time in December. It is a beauty and I absolutely adore the colour
I was waiting for her to pull out a Rabbit lol.
"I'm only 5'4 and a half...", epic statement :D
Beautifull and excellent car.
Awesome love it!
Great designs coming from Peugeot. All of them. But hybrids and yesterday's news.
Nice tho' for me it'd have to the diesel due to the motorway driving I do.
Sadly the top range models require £1000 for the panoramic roof previously free and you lose the spare wheel for the focal sound system. No amount of quality stereo will get you home when your tyre is punctured beyond the gloop repair. Still I am waiting for my new one almost 3 months into the 6 month wait but, at least I still have my GT Line Premium 1.& hdi eat to play with until the next hdi auto arrives.
Great looking car. Especially in white, GT trim with black badge
Gorgeous! Car it's OK too😂✌️
Car manufacturers, pls give is back physical buttons! Enough with the annoying touchscreen!

I have gone to check the car out but I am not content with the price they are asking for most of all the new Peugeot's.

Where is the all new Tucson for comparison?
14 month waiting time now on Hyundai;s

British don't know how to pronounce Peugeot.
@@pfauniversal1890 'purrjo' is the best sounds like I can do, and I speak the language perhaps with an accent!
Really struggle to see the point of a PHEV, complex, heavy and a nightmare to maintain - if you want to be green and save fuel cost, get a BEV car. Otherwise get a conventional combustion engine.
In all case way better than the boring tiguan
Had to use one as a hire car this weekend. Surprisingly for a big looking beast of a car it had the internal dimensions giving the opposite impression of the Tardis. Terrible leg room at the back, Claustrophobic separate pods for the driver and front passenger. Irritating placement of cup holders at the front interfering with elbow resting. Diabolical placement of cruise controls completely hidden from drivers view. Adjustable screen content in front of driver was a good feature. Overall not impressed to contemplate a purchase.
I LOVE YOU REBECCA PLEASE MARRY ME xxxxxxxx
Was this the banana girl? I haven't watched car reviews in years ...
She's only 5'4'' and a bit you know...
Any new car without a control knob at each air vent is an immediate no no to me. At least I can't see air vent controls in this car.

Peugeot are asking too much money for these especially if you buy the basic model with the troublesome 3 cylinder pure tech engine. If it were my own hard earned, I would rather spend a bit more and buy a Lexus NX. With Lexus you get superior build quality, much better reliability and Lexus customer care.
That Lexus is ugly 3008 looks way better and has better interior. Also it's pretty reliable
The nasty steering wheel that covers the instrument panel is still there.... Too cheap plasticky French nonsense for the price tag.
You have no idea about cars this car is just perfect that's why it has won so many rewards and sells like fire
You would rather have what a Vauxhall ford come on which car recommends the 3008 and the awards speak for themselves I have been driving Peugeot for a few years very reliable cars.
My friend - the steering wheel DOES NOT cover the instrument panel. There is adjustment forward/back - up/down for both seats and steering wheel. I am 6ft tall and my wife 5ft 2" - no difficulty for either of us. But then again , we took one minute to find our comfortable driving position.
The review is boring, I think you should get a new writer.
She gives a clear concise review- better than a lot of men.
5ft 4 and a half... boring!!!
It is very endearing that she’s gets her 5ft 4 and a half in. That half inch is very important. She is lovely and adorable.
I thought they used metric system in the UK.
@@gallahant it is a complete mix here. Kg has over taken pounds but we still use miles. Height in cm doesn’t mean much here in the uk. 5’4.5” is a cute height for a woman but who knows what that is in metric.
@@marcel911 It's 163.83 cm. She is pretty accurate when it comes to her height. I am 1.81 and some change but I will round it up to 1.80 or 6ft if I am talking to an American.
