#Ironman #Funeral #AvengersEndgame #Imax
I never thought about it until now, but it is so sad and fitting that Jon Favreau was there. He was the man that started the MCU with the original Iron man, and he truly was there until the end.
Well said this man has my respect
Uh, my boi Sam Raimi started it all, thank you very much.
@@kenanderson4929 The hype of superhero movies sure, but if Jon Favreau didn't make iron man as well as he did we would have never gotten the MCU as we know it today.
@@kenanderson4929 Sam Raimi Spiderman is canon to MCU not MCU movies. I swear sometimes I just want to punch one of you in the face
he was there to see his own charecter go away for ever while assisting him 😢😢
Peter & Ned reuniting always does me in. But after watching No Way Home, it makes me even more sad
If it makes you feel better Ned and Peter disappeared and came back for what felt like them to be a matter of seconds. So they weren't separated for that long before NWH 🙂
There's a good chance that, powerful though that spell may have been, there's still vestiges of Peter remaining in the lives of his friends after the spell, so they could rediscover their relationship with him again. Obviously I don't know this for a fact lol but it would not only be easy to write in, but it's just hard to believe they'd throw away such great characters and actor pairings with such great chemistry. So I'm confident we'll not only see Ned and MJ again, but that they'll reunite with Spideypoo down the road.
Same 😭😭😭😭
@@battaglino77 Which makes their emotional reunion all the more ......weird
@Angelo Carter Omg! I’ve seen this scene countless times. I get teary eyed every single time the music starts. But now that I know what happened at the end of SNWH…dude, I just started ugly crying when Ned and Peter hugged. I must have some residual PTSD from SNWH. If anyone needs me, I’ll just be in a corner curled into the fetal position. 🥺😢😭🤧
I love that nebula was there. I think she truly cared for Tony especially because he was nice to her when they were stuck on the ship
She cared for him on the ship too. She refused her water ration so he could have it and covered him when he passed out to keep him warm
It was Interesting to see Tony and a Guardians interaction
Tony further honed his dad skills that he cultivated with Peter.
It can be argued that Tony let Nebula win in paper football. And that might have been the first time she ever won anything. Also, after they returned to Earth she probably was part of Tony's circle of friends, since she was on a nickname basis with Rhodey 5 years later when they started planning the time heist. I would have liked to see more about that, but 5 years is a long time.
I love that Hank was there, despite his long rivalry with the stark family. It shows that he truly respected tony for what he did.
I think Bucky too.. Despite the fact that he killed his parents
@@venkatramannayak6062 why wasn’t Bucky and Sam with cap in this scene?
@@saturn7835 I think the idea was to have the people Tony was closest to up front. Hence Happy, Rhodey, Cap, hulk, Thor, etc.
I wish we got some more mingling though. I want to know what Hank thought about the fact a few meters away from him was a walking talking tree, two blue badasses in tank tops, and a woman with actual antenna

The fact his funeral was small and modest I feel is an ode to his growth as Tony Stark. At one time he was a Playboy and lived life loud. When he died it was the most selfless and honorable act he could have done. He was loved and his funeral was a fitting way to goodbye to a mature Tony that gave his all
he heard what yinsen told him back in the first movie, he made his life count for something
Same can be said about a man who lived life small in a simple family humble even, when he died it was untimely, and his funeral was massive because apparently everyone knew who he was.
@@markdurl8341Yinsin died for Tony, Tony never forgot this..he died for Yinsins legacy and the world
I wish, after Tony snapped, he would have been with yinsen again telling it was worth it, his life was meaningfull afterall
Must have been challenging for Chadwick Boseman filming this scene, knowing what he was going through.

The grief everyone feels broke my heart the first time I watched this. Like Peter, for example. He lost yet another father. First his real father, then uncle Ben and now Tony.
I know. This scene was just so well done all the way around. From Tony's narration to the way the camera captures everyone at the lake. No one even blinks in this scene.
I bawled when I saw the "Proof that Tony Stark has a heart!" Tribute from the first Iron Man Movie
@@Waterlily6519 After Spider-Man No Way Home. Peter has had the saddest story in probably cinema history. Like you said his real parents first then his uncle Ben then Tony. SPOILERS Now Aunt May. @@captainjacksparrow1518 I know you said spoilers. But I haven't yet seen the film.
I still believe that Tony left such a huge impact on the characters. So much that even Drax wore a shirt out of respect.
I agree especially Peter man
I guess it also desensitized his body, since he wears a full uniform in the third movie.
I imagine Thor feeling he has failed the second time here, since he should be strong enough to withstand the snap and won the war if he had his chance. The fact that he doesn't truly get the chance to redeem himself in that moment is really heartbreaking
There's a moment in the final battle where he went for the glove, but Thanos interrupted him
@@silentnquiet he should have gone for the head.
@@davidcsik9761 he did, during endgame, every time Thor exchanged blows with Thanos, whether hammer or axe, Thor was aiming for the head.
@@stewttv okay, I accept your comment. Just for sure, check for HISHE Endgame and "you're not worthy" reference. Its hilarious.
Thor is weakened purposely in endgame, in order to give newer character slot to shine. Until Ragnarok, Thor is overpowered and easily could defeat Thanos in ease. That's why he arrives late in Infinity War and missed Thanos head. And in Endgame he nerfed too much. If Thor was there ready in his prime power, script would be difficult to create because he could defeated all Thanos army by himself.
Hearing Tony say that, "everything will work out exactly the way that it's supposed to," at his own funeral is truly heartbreaking.
I’m pretty sure him using the stones was part of the plan I doubt any other nano tech suit is able to form a infinity gauntlet out of nothing

I know.
There's a scene during the final battle where you see Bucky fighting and then it immediately cuts to Tony getting knocked on his arse, I was honestly expecting Bucky to run over and help him up, whilst apologizing for his actions. I get why they had Peter and Tony interact instead, but I feel like both Bucky and Tony got robbed of a scene like that.

The actors all showed up that day believing that they were filming Tony and Pepper's wedding. I imagine that their sadness was genuine, finding out that Robert's time on screen in the MCU family was coming to an end. The Russo brothers handed out partial scripts and fake scripts to everyone to prevent plot details from being leaked to the press. Joe Russo---" They were brought there under this pretense that they were coming for a wedding--it's kind of heartbreaking to think about now--but they all have managers and agents, and hair and makeup, and we can't tell anybody what we're up to because it can leak thru one of a thousand sources...so they were all brought there under the pretense that they're coming for a wedding, and the day they got there and we started to dress them in the black outfits, they said, 'This is a very strange wedding.' We said, "It's because it's actually a funeral." Movieweb 07/27/19
@Thomas TRW Yeah. I thought Tom Holland was the only one who was told that they were going to film a “wedding scene” so he wouldn’t accidentally leak any news. Interesting to see that ALL the actors were told this. All NDA’s aside, I wouldn’t be able to keep the secrets that these actors have to keep nowadays.
For only tom, it was the wedding
@Thomas TRW Marvel Studios is finally learning for once about Tom's spoiling tactics just give him a fake script and it'll be fine
One thing I know for sure is Michelle Pffeifer had a huge pay day just for standing up at the Stark funeral .lol

It’s a bummer what Peter went through in no way home he doesn’t have a girlfriend or best friend anymore and his aunt is gone .mysterio really putted him through a lot.
That’s how Spider-Man should work
It’s a good thing Tobey spider man did not go through that problem.
Peters liberal ideology was at the core of his losses.
That's what a villain does. You don't get code following villain like Thanos each time
Because I got to admit Tony created a lot of villains
Bruce and Clint should’ve been in the cabin with Steve and Thor honestly
Theoretically, though I'm not sure Clint and Stark really got along that well, and I don't think Bruce could fit through the door.
@@BubblesZap doesn’t really matter if they got along. You telling me you agree with every single thing your family members say?

@@BubblesZap I mean we literally seen human Banner in Shang Chi. Shouldn't he be able to turn to Banner🤔
Peter Parker should have been there too
What I love about this scene is it isn’t trying to explicitly play up the sadness. Yes, the funeral is the backdrop, but the tone doesn’t seem like it’s trying to be sad, it seems like it’s trying to celebrate the victory, while acknowledging the losses.
This Is the last MCU Movie to Chadwick Boseman, RIP Brother
Yup. He died less than a year and a half after the film was released
I really love the fact that Harley Keener is there, the kid who helped Tony in _Iron Man 3._ The Filmmakers didn't need to do this, many had probably forgotten about Harley by now or, if they hadn't, didn't think he was important enough (and IM3 is hardly one of the franchises' most liked entries). But they did it and I'm thankful for this bit of continunity.
4 years later, & I can’t help but cry. This was such a beautiful send off. For those of us who watched it from the start, this movie was absolutely tear jerking.
The bit that breaks my heart the most is seeing Peter standing there, devastated. Tony was the only person who Peter was able to look up to as a Father figure and looking at him stood there knowing he’s lost him is so sad
Technically not, Peter lost he second father figure. Uncle Ben still existed in the MCU, his suitcase showed up in Far from Home and he was name dropped in What If...? After No Way Home, Peter's life is even worse since he lost everyone he personally knew as Peter Parker while Spider-Man is still known.
I always felt Stan Lee's Cameo should have been here. Instead of a younger version of the Informant living it up in the 70's.

4:00 Didn't even realise the kid from Iron Man 3 was at the funeral
Because he's a big boy now.
I really loved that they chose to have a simple yet very solemn funeral for Tony Stark. Considering what he did, he deserved a state funeral. Streets should have been closed for the procession. The president should have given a Eulogy. There should have been a 21-cannon salute for him. But no, his funeral was attended by the people who knew him and mattered in his life. People who knew not just Tony Stark the Celebrity Superhero. People who appreciated Tony even at his very worst
However, superman had taken it
He still got more than Natasha...😢
I legit cried my eyes out the first time. And it kills me to watch this every time since. Sad thing is, I didn’t expect this to be the funeral of the entire MCU
Part of me wonders if maybe the MCU should’ve ended after this film. When you think about it, this film would’ve been the perfect finale to this franchise
I was wondering if the Fantastic Four from 2015 did participate in Infinity War where they survived the snap during battle, went to the surviving Avengers at their Compound while meeting them, teaming up, and learning about Thanos. Later on, they joined in the Endgame finale. Most of all, they'd attend T. Stark's funeral to pay their respectful honor.
This was the end of this universe for me. Didn’t watch anything else afterwards. I should catch up on those couple Spider-Man flicks, but it all rounded off and finished here for me 👍
I like how this funeral essentially acted as the MCU curtain call
