Joe in a formal suit without shoes is the best thing I've ever seen😁
I prefer this over Joe in formal shoes without anything else.
I just today watched an interview in which a group of students was mentioned who rebelled against a 50s dresscode by not wearing socks to their full suit and tie outfits... weird coincidence
@@maurice_walker As a male i can not agree. But i do get your point.. 😁😉
Lol so funny
The most professional look for an airline pilot.
Captain Joe really is as genuinely nice as he appears. He took a solid 15 minutes talking to a few of us random fans about the difference between 747 and GA, flying in Europe vs USA, etc
He's the real deal. Every time I hung out with him I walked away trying to figure out how to be a better person
Seriously such a cool dude. We chatted for a few minutes and it felt like I was talking to an old friend.
Did he charge you for it? I know he used to try to charge people for "advice"
@@user-we8mu7lf6x Nope, no charge at Oshkosh to talk with him or take a photo with him.
I got a cameo at 3:15 whoop whoop!
It was a pleasure having you at the Flying Eyes booth, Joe! You look great in your new shades. 😎🙌
You know you're an aviation icon when people know you at Oshkosh.
Captain joe you such a inspiration to younger people who want to become pilot and also aviation enthusiast and finally Not only a good pilot that keeps but also aviation enthusiast . Thank you captain joe🛫
I too feel Captain Joe is one of the nicest guys I follow on KZhead So genuine.
“Dear friends & followers, blame the jets for blowing my shoes & socks away”
Captain Joe always looks very cool in his pilot uniform even without wearing shoes. 😎🔥✈️
This is so great Joey! Your Q&A video with your English mom was so sweet! Love the bare foot look! 🦶🥰
Where to begin. . . Captain Joe, this was so much fun!! I was surprised to see you barefoot -- especially in full uniform!! LOL!! My parents were both licensed pilots (back in the 40's) before they married and started having kids. I truly wish they would have inspired one of their 5 kids to get into aviation. I am a big av geek, and my oldest brother (now deceased) taught people to fly on pilot trainers while in the Navy. We most likely would have been the only ones to pursue aviation. So I do the next best thing -- watching channels, such as yours, and a whole host of spotting channels. My biggest love is all of the freighter aircraft -- hence, the reason I listen to PANC a lot!! Loved this episode today!! Keep up the great work!! Stay safe out/up there!! Blessings and Cheers!! 💕✈✈💕
Captain Joe so glad you visited EAA in Oshkosh Wisconsin and enjoyed the experience!
What a great video. Thanks Joe
It was great talking to you in Oshkosh, Captain Joe! Thank you for letting my wife and I know that the training aircraft have parachutes😄 I hope we cross paths at ORD or some airport in Europe one day! Alles Gute!
Thank you Captain Joe, You all are amazing people!
Where are your shoes Captain 😂
I am very glad that I heard something about "Captain Joe off camera" from someone who knows you. It seems that you did not expect that :)
Genuine nice guy for sure! It was an honor to meet you at Oshkosh. Come back any time!
It was nice seeing you in person. Keep up the great work
I really enjoyed this. Thank you Joe, Christie & Dan
Great to have you back!
What a show! Priceless!!!
Captain you always smiling n done wonderful jobs for us. Plz keep boost up.
Fantastic episode Captain Joe, great stuff.
I love everything aviation but would never fly a plane but love to stumble onto these types of videos. It's even more wonderful to hear that you have a sweet and kind heart as well 👍😀
WOW. So glad you were at EAA. I would have loved to meet you. I live just 1hr 15 min south of EAA in Milwaukee. Great video production on this video. 😀
Glad to hear you had a blast at Oshkosh! If you want to try flying in a REALLY small aircraft and have some layover time in the MSP area I'd be happy to hook you up. So much fun to be had in general aviation.
Ha! I knew all those things about you. Does that make me a hardcore fan now?! 😂 nice video as always.
I was there on Saturday! I had no idea you were gonna be there otherwise I would have came to shake your hand. Hope you enjoyed your visit to Wisconsin.
Really enjoyed this.
Another great great video!
Wow I live in Wisconsin and never knew Captain Joe was coming. Would have been super cool to say hi 👋 😎
Keep it up dear Joe!
Captain Joe parle un anglais fluide, bien articulé, et est facile à comprendre même pour les non anglophones. Cette politesse sur you tube est rare. Il a l’air vraiment sympa.
Mr. Commander Captain Joe , Thanks for the video . Hugs from Brazil .
Captain Joe The person who fills the fuel in my avation career!
I drove from Minneapolis for Oshkosh. Totally worth it. I will come back to Oshkosh in a few years.
really like watching this video, beautiful planes and nice views in oshkosh, Captain Joe is always an inspiration for aviation people, there are always creative ideas in his videos.
REAL co-pilots can't afford socks.😎👍
I always wanted to go to Oshkosh and we would of went this year but we had to go the California and the day I got to California captain joe goes to Oshkosh, My luck is terrible, great video tho👍
Great interview! And the no socks and shoes is great 😂😭
das video ist sehr gut und es scheint, dass es dir gefallen hat, es aufzunehmen und die show zu kommentieren. gratuliere und verbessere dich weiter und amüsiere dich, joe, du verdienst alles gute
I've been a strong supporter of the taking off channel for a while. Christy and Dan are both very genuine people. Great to see this collaboration.
Hope you really enjoy the festival in there Joe.
I sure wish I had known you were at Oshkosh🙁I live about 15 miles from Wittman Field and attend Aiventure every year.
Good stuff 😀
If your ever in Illinois and you want to go fly in a light sport aircraft, you can come to 3H5 (Erie Airpark). It is in the Quad City area
I really want to visit OSHKOSH 😁
True aviators in this video!
So cool.
Hello Captain Joe! I have a question about crashing. Why do airplane crash land without the use of the landing gears? I'm very curious about it because some accidents do not use landing gears when landing the plain when crashing.
Excellent video, I envy you folks. You jumped at the chance to learn to fly and haven't regretted it. Maybe in my next life. Great job. The only thing that would make the video better would have been a tour of the many planes that are on display. I live in WI. and have never been to the show. Thanks, from a subscriber and won't to be pilot.
Captain Joe is working on that very video for you right now.
the best pilot
Nice shoes captain 😃👍🏻. Love your channel
Hi from mexico city. Thank you for your video. When are you flying to Toronto
Did you go through Seattle recently? I thought I saw go through my warehouse.
BIG FAN FROM SOUTH AFRICA
Wow good you work ✈️✈️
Ohhhh adoro
Capt. Joe is the Keanu Reeves of aviation
So true!!
I expect that next year Cargolux will be sending you with a 747 as a display, but without a stipend for the hotel, you will have to tent under the plane!
Captain Joe driving the feet guys crazy this video
Man just realized that captain joe has no shoes on 😂
Hi Captain Put video about "how throttle works from takeoff to landing?" And explain about "auto throttle"
What is an Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft/SAFA inspection?
EAA? OMG... It's only about an hour's drive north from where I live!
i want also visit this place.
Don’t forget to eat the Bratwurst, cheese 🧀, and have a beer, for the full Wisconsin experience, “ Behind the Cheddar Curtain” I also hope that you crossed paths with the FAMOUS Blancolirio!
He lives in Germany he gets all those at home.
@@sirBrouwer Wisconsin is a very German State! Ya hey dare!
Captain I have a doubt - why isn't the altimeter voice coming out during take off , is there any switch to turn on and off the altimeter ?
Hi! What you are referring to are radio altitude callouts by the EGPWS (enhanced ground proximity warning system), the famous « 500 », « 100 », « 50 », « 40 », « 30 », « 20 », « 10 ». As far as my experience on flight simulator design goes (real level D simulator), once the aircraft is in approach close to a runway, the radio altitude callout function gets enabled. The EGPWS will then call the altitude once it crosses it. The radio altitude callouts only get « reset » when you climb back up again. This way, callouts are not called when completing a takeoff and are available should an aircraft need to perform an additionnal approach (a go around, for example). Each manufacturer has slightly differents logics. Hope this gives a general idea and helps!
@@fredojeux Thanks ☺️
So the altimeter comes active at 2500 feet while approch and resets during a take off roll right ?
Wish I could’ve met him! Also really like his shades that he’s wearing here
Us too! You can get them at FlyingEyesOptics.com and use our code TAKINGOFF for 10% off.
Captain Joey looks super smart in those sunglasses 😎😎.
Man my family and I got a lot of on-air time since we were buying sunglasses in the background
Well, now I want tickets to Oshkosh
Nice one. Capt. Joe Yh Am from Uganda 🇺🇬
I knew that Cap Joe is half brit half german, which I think it's amazing, he must have been born sometime after the war
Boom Boom!!
Christy is missing an Captn Joe Plane!
That was a lot of fun. One question why were you barefoot?😂
Where can I contact you I want to know more about becoming a pilot
Joe "from the ground up" book written by Sandy A. F. MacDonald is preferable today also for aviation training.
I attended air shows to see the famous US Navy and Marine Blue Angels.
Captain Joe I would like to meet you if you ever have a event in Los Angeles. Let me know.
Im just seeing this video from a 5 week tour in Uzbekistan but as soon i watched only 20 seconds in. Why does joe have no shoes on??
Love that you got to OshKosh!! Also: why do you have bare feet!!??
I bet this guy sleeps in his uniform shirt. And he's not even a captain.
You could have skipped the uniform shirt on this one😂
No shoes Joe?! 😂
Probably didn't want to get any of that Oshkosh mud smeared all over them. It's tough stuff to get off.
Great video! But for me it was more new to have learned, that you’re half English. I’ve already heard that before, but I know you more as a German pilot from Munich. At that great time of Air Berlin.
Kinda said I didn’t go to Oshkosh for this:(
That captain Joe's one handsome man.
damn your english really improved big time
Could you please include the subtitles ... Because I can't understand your accent
My favorite pilot channelෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
Pilot shortage is due to the absurd training and certification prices worldwide, sadly. I can barely afford screws, paint and 3D printer filament for my homemade simulator lol.
I liked the moment when they started flirting 😉🤭
lol, everyone wearing flying eyes glasses.
Nice socks! 😆😅
Have you become a hippie Joey? Ha ha
Mhm... I thought you would talk about the Company who produces firefighting vehicles :/
If this video doesn't spark passion for general avation then I don't know what will... 😁😎👍
Barefoot driving a car in Germany is legal. I am not aware of any rule against barefoot flying. Am I missing something?
