  • Where to begin. . . Captain Joe, this was so much fun!! I was surprised to see you barefoot -- especially in full uniform!! LOL!! My parents were both licensed pilots (back in the 40's) before they married and started having kids. I truly wish they would have inspired one of their 5 kids to get into aviation. I am a big av geek, and my oldest brother (now deceased) taught people to fly on pilot trainers while in the Navy. We most likely would have been the only ones to pursue aviation. So I do the next best thing -- watching channels, such as yours, and a whole host of spotting channels. My biggest love is all of the freighter aircraft -- hence, the reason I listen to PANC a lot!! Loved this episode today!! Keep up the great work!! Stay safe out/up there!! Blessings and Cheers!! 💕✈✈💕

  • Excellent video, I envy you folks. You jumped at the chance to learn to fly and haven't regretted it. Maybe in my next life. Great job. The only thing that would make the video better would have been a tour of the many planes that are on display. I live in WI. and have never been to the show. Thanks, from a subscriber and won't to be pilot.

  • Captain I have a doubt - why isn't the altimeter voice coming out during take off , is there any switch to turn on and off the altimeter ?

    @_Mithu_777@_Mithu_777 Жыл бұрын
    • Hi! What you are referring to are radio altitude callouts by the EGPWS (enhanced ground proximity warning system), the famous « 500 », « 100 », « 50 », « 40 », « 30 », « 20 », « 10 ». As far as my experience on flight simulator design goes (real level D simulator), once the aircraft is in approach close to a runway, the radio altitude callout function gets enabled. The EGPWS will then call the altitude once it crosses it. The radio altitude callouts only get « reset » when you climb back up again. This way, callouts are not called when completing a takeoff and are available should an aircraft need to perform an additionnal approach (a go around, for example). Each manufacturer has slightly differents logics. Hope this gives a general idea and helps!
