    • An advanced civilization could absolutely be one of lush green spaces and all the future tech you could ever dream of . It comes down to what we, as a species, can imagine and create. If we decide to continue down a road of mistrust of one another and of our leaders, then we will create a future as such.

  • i had a really strange dream about the future, it was in the far distant future, though i cannot say exactly which year, because i don't know, but in this world, in the future, i couldn't recognize anything, not even buildings or so, because building structures had different shapes, compared to buildings these days, and lots of colored buildings, such as a building shaped like a ball, and a building shaped like a pyramid, and other weirdly shaped buildings, and while i walked down the street, as i was trying to figure out what i am seeing, there was a hologram stalking me, and repeatedly saying open me please open me, and i replied saying, i don't know how to open you, or what you are supposed to be, and the hologram said just say "open," so i said open, and then the hologram started playing a commercial to me, i asked people on the street where the public transportation is, they showed me where the train station was, but all i could see was a poll, with advanced screens on it, so i asked people on the street, how is this poll supposed to be the train station, and it was like everything around me didn't make sense, i couldn't use anything from this time, to compare it to anything from that time, kind of like putting a pre historic cave man in the middle of new york city.

The power consumption would like to capitalization of who gets the power and for what price. It would be nice if the human civilization could coexist with each other to make this happens but that alone keeps up from reaching these levels of life

    • This is anything but what the future will actually look like. You should know that, based on history. Of all the people who were concerned with how and what the future will look like, there are a handful who got a few descriptions right. and only 1 person who has made astonishingly good predictions with illustration and words. but he is therefore literally one of the greatest human beings ever. I am of course talking about Leonardo da Vinci. This makes millions of predictions made by individuals completely nonsensical and wrong. What are the chances that a visual world created on the basis of public information and an enormous imagination and imagination can accurately represent anything in the future, let alone in broad outlines, and is virtually impossible in the future? details. This is therefore a nice fantasy, but not what the future will look like. That is an almost certain prediction that has a very good chance of coming true. that it won't look like this.

    • Commerce isn't bad. Capitalism is the problem. There will always be some representation of value, some system of allocating available resources no matter how plentiful.(The lesser the scarcity, the greater the appetite. Humans expand to overwhelm whatever resource allows them to comfortably reproduce.) The problem with capitalism is that it tends toward a gruesome societal collapse under the inhuman greed of the upper class. If it can be prevented, then life still tends toward misery. The wealth gap only gets wider. A desperate consumer is a profitable consumer, so they hammer at us with media to fill us with insecurities. Many people are crushed in grinding poverty and that's okay. The unprofitable aren't a threat to power. The survivors breed fitter consumers. The wealthy write laws to favor themselves, and we fight bloody wars in other countries to protect "our" way of life. Greed is not good. Money is not a force for good. If humans refuse to think with empathy, no guiding hand will do it for them. There are systems of resource allocation which don't depend on capitalism's irrational belief in the goodness of unregulated exploitation. The use of money doesn't invalidate them.

    @debugger4693@debugger46934 ай бұрын
    • Its most likely with our already happened history of power consumption. Many devices (computers, some cars, ocean liners) which uses electricity or a resource like water or fuel became more efficient but since they are already so many of them in the world, like what feels like several bazillions, the overall power consumption permanently increases. If a type-II civilization has the tech- and science-feats as shown in this video, such a civilization need every single watt of power it can get from its home solar system.

All the other planets in the solar system would most likely go cold and it would be much harder to maintain any plantlife on other planets we may have colonized by then like mars. There would need to be a tidally locked "open window" between the dyson swarm on the hemisphere facing the earth at all times.

  • This video is amazing. Thank you so much for your insight. However, all of this information is old news to me. All of this already exist and been existing in the spiritual realms for eons. It just takes time for humans to experience it in the physical realm. We have abilities and powers beyond our current imaginations. It is just that the current powers to be wants to keep us under them for control. But all of this is shifting and changing by a new league of Beings that are currently working behind the scenes to help all Beings to reach their full and highest potential both spiritually and physically. This is the change that we all have been praying and hoping for from the beginning of time and now it have finally arrived on the face of this Earth, throughout the universe, and above that. It’s just a matter of time before we start to see the change physically. Out with the old corrupt system/government in with the new fair, just, righteous Leadership and Headship. I am so excited for the future in the coming several centuries. I may not be around in this physical realm to see it in full effect in this physical realm, but I know it is happening and I Will experience it in the spiritual realms which is much more better and enjoyable if you ask me. Peace and blessings on to all ✌🏽❤❤❤❤

    • Well, if you say that it completely impossible, no, because while it currently impossible based on current technologies today, it would change sooner or later in far future. Say it "completely impossible" is a subjective opinion. Capturing just 0.1% of the Sun's energy via a Dyson swarm would provide over trillions of times more energy than our current annual worldwide usage. In raw numbers, that's 4 x 1024 watts from 0.1% of the Sun compared to today's 18 terawatts usage. A Dyson swarm harvesting a tiny fraction of 1% of solar power would exceed humanity's energy needs for millions of years to come. It akin technological leap similar to transition from Stone Age to Digital/Information Age. Build a Dyson swarm need largely disassemble planet Mercury and some of asteroid belts

  • The idea of a Dyson Sphere is intriguing, but I am wondering what happens to the planets outside the sphere, which will experience dramatically less solar radiation (warmth) and will probably cool significantly, or planets inside the sphere, which will undergo the opposite transition?

    @DennyG-zw1ot@DennyG-zw1ot3 ай бұрын
    • Finally someone asking the real questions, my friend. I wondered the same too. Currently, I'm writing on a future scenario as part of my hobby. I solved it by letting the Martian Federation with their fully terraformed central planet Mars create such a Dyson swarm on a polar orbit thus minimizing the effects on the planets. The solar harvesting stations also are so small each so that they are just like a thin cloud in front of the sun when seen from the planets. The Martian Federation uses this Matryoschka class Dyson sphere to create enough energy to create wormholes between solar systems. The first effective use of that technology still has to be done.

    • This is the problem with all these Kardashev and Dyson scale things. You have to harvest entire solar systems to accomplish these and that could take 10's of thousands of years depending on technological progress. We'd go extinct long before we accomplished anything useful.
