Fr, a disco ball, fog machine and a bar, right at home with luxury party stuff pack, I'd rather if the kit was kids birthday things, child sims deserve so much more than they get.
Yeah it would be cool if the decor had kids themes, like pirates, monsters, unicorns, horses, dinosaurs, castle. Etc. If the cake stand spawns cakes, that would be huge.

Yes proper eyelashes without having to use cc would be a game changer in the sims. EA lashes are terrible
I only have three mods installed: -MCCommandCenter ( gameplay ) -UICheatsExtension ( gameplay ) -3D eyelashes ( because the base game eyelashes are so bad ) Also I’m tired of townies not looking realistic, I’d love an update to specifically all the base game townies. The roommate household don’t even look like real people; and now that we have stretch marks, vitiligo, freckles, moles, more skins tones, better hair options, etc etc etc, they could make much more realistic townies I’m currently redoing my whole save at the moment because I’m upset by EA presets and unrealistic bodies. I just want more diversity and realism so I have to add it I guess:/
I can’t believe tho they put a “block of eyelash” in the game. Even when it was less polished and they hadn’t had so many updates to fix the game, they still looked terrible

I’ve made some hijabi families (I am not Muslim myself), and even TRYING to make modest outfits feels borderline impossible. It’s frustrating. I can’t even imagine trying to create yourself if that’s your religion, and it’s… impossible.

I'm so so so happy Snap is well. My girl fell asleep for the last time at 19 years old. Howrver, before that she had her uterus removed (infection), fell out of 4th floor (draught closing the window), got lost few times (camping), almost strangled herself (tangled lead and jumping off of things), got spun around in washing machine once (my mom noticed very quickly) and had few small tumours removed. Above all, she survived me being a child. :,) No kidding about 9 lives! All of the best to you and Snap! And dare I be so corny.. Snappy recovery! :)

The party pack is the exact thing that SHOULD be in a kit. Stuff thats highly specific and isnt like you're missing out on anything if you dont have it. But im excited for it!

I don’t DISLIKE the build kit, but I almost never “decorate” for parties. I could see myself using some of these in regular builds, like teen and kids rooms like you said, or in a bar or lounge lot. But if my Sims are having a party, I pretty much never add extra decorations. So nice to hear that things are looking good for Snap! 💜 She’s lucky to have a family who loves her as much as you guys do, I’m sure she’s being spoiled during her recovery 😂 But we’ve all been rooting for you, Snappy!

I absolutely love this. Im also really glad theyre adding more nails, there used to be a matte ballet/coffin shaped nail that was my absolute favorite but its been missing from the game for awhile now 😔

Apparently that nail shape is still available for male sims. If you remove the feminine tag, the nails should come up 🤞🏼

Several of the dresses make great wedding dresses too. I also love the metallic, smoky eye makeup.
Yeah, I like making futuristic or alien builds, so I think the glowy stuff actually looks pretty cool. Unfortunately it's still very little, so that makes it hard to use and match, even if you want to. And I get that most people aren't into this style.

You could do a build for a 90s/early 00s restaurant with a party room lmao. That’s the only use I can really picture because I can’t decorate for parties or I’ll forget to tank down the decor.

@@pmpkn_soup ur so pressed in these comments like sims 4 is a game that's remotely worth the money it costs... the update schedules are awful, the packs are always broken, the items aren't worth even £6 in a kit. it's a fun game i like playing but i play it in a FREE way where they don't profit off their own standards and i play with CC. i'm not saying don't enjoy the game but there are people who want to buy things that are in this game, they want to support it, but they can't because the items are lacklustre and so so expensive. not everyone lives the same life as you girlie, so let people complain and just enjoy the game by yourself - i like the game but i also hate it and i hate EA.

Party Essentials seems like one of the more likely kits I'll actually get. Though I kind of wish it was a stuff pack or game pack, bc I'd love to get some more features for parties like more options for entertainers (I'd love an active like party entertainer career where you could do magic and balloon animals and dress up like a clown or princess)

I could see the party kit being used for parties, clubs snd lounges, school dance/wedding venues, even crazy teenage bedrooms. I think with enough creativity the party kit could be more versatile than we think

I feel like the party kit will be most useful for storyline players, especially those who take a lot of screenshots and stuff? It's definitely the sort of thing you wouldn't need much if you're just bulding, or even if you're just playing the game and not caring too much about how things look. But if you really want to tell the story of a sim party, this'll make it look much much more realistic. And I think that's actually a pretty cool and reasonable purpose for a kit!

I have luxury party stuff, but i got it way back when it and like one or two other packs were free. (Jungle adventure and the Indian street fashion kit [idr the name] were the packs I got alongside Luxury party). I think it was only free for a few days and only on epic a while ago. I think kits *should be* nice to have and not imperative to enjoying gameplay. If they were, we’d have even more problems than we do now. I do agree though that I think there other themes i’d rather have. I’m not super excited about either of them, tbh. Happy for Ebonix though!
honestly thats my biggest issue with the urban homage kit bc it feels like more representation behind a paywall and if theres anything a life sim has thats imperative its diversity and representation. but idk

@@ariannebrodeurI don’t feel this way. It has maybe few items that can be inspired by some cultures but why it has to be always free? It’s nothing necessary, there are similar things in base game. About kits that doesn’t have gameplay - well those are just cosmetics and that’s absolutely fine. You don’t need them but maybe you want them. That’s a common mechanic in many games so works fine for me.

Yeah I think that was very much a disappointment. The july hair is gorgeous. I respect Ebonix although her cc isn’t for me (I’m strictly maxis match) and would’ve loved to have hair MESHES that are MM but from her own style, you know what I mean? That Urban Hommage pack looks great and only more proof she would be a great designer for new hairs.

I just love getting more balloon options. Having too many of the same balloons looks weird. I have ravasheen's but it's still not my dream balloons. I would love balloons that actually move. The ones I miss the most were the Sims 1 balloons that would pop over time so they'd be all dead by the end of a party

I do think we need more party items; I think it was Vixella who talked about it at one point, that there are only a few, sad options in base game for balloons and stuff to hang on the walls at birthday parties, etc. But like others have said, this could have been a much-needed Luxury Party refresh - plus some of the stuff could be base game.
I actually think the party kit might surprise us! Having another look at the pictures and items, there’s a good few versatile pieces that aren’t party exclusive - obviously the record player, but also the new tv with the LEDs at the back is cool and very on trend right now. I love the disco ball and will use that loads as regular decor, and I think a lot of the wall and ceiling decor could end up being very useful for decorating more eclectic builds or fun teen bedrooms. Also the bar, as much as we have so many already, looks really nice! The swatch in the screenshot I don’t think does it justice, the picture of the item in catalogue looks like a much more plain wood texture swatch which I think will be soo useable. Also the new lights and clutter look nice… honestly there’s only a handful of things that I think will only be useful for parties (for me personally) - ready to be pleasantly surprised when this comes out ☺️
I want the disco ball specifically. I will put it in all of my builds for no reason whatsoever. I just really love disco balls. 😂 I like all the purple colors in both kits, the shades are lovely. And I think the clothes kit had a purple lion shirt in it which intrigues me 👀
