They’re not yet so “smart” because of the limited data they’re trained on, but once they start training themselves… they’ll figure out how to design and create new robots more capable.
This video is already outdated though, I'm sure ameca has been updated to GPT 4.5 by now, as a matter of fact I'm pretty confident Ameca has something thats much more capable than even gpt4.5. The fact it can change its voice at will is terrifying.

How language models work are just a few lines of code. It mathematically calculates what word should come after the next in such a calculated way that the phrases seem like intelligence. But truly there is no thought or feeling behind the AI. Although people work almost the same way as a blank slate learning algorithms and probabilities of the surroundings environment and it makes you who you are. Eerily similar to AI
It’s not a misunderstanding it’s a dangerous machine it does plot dangerous things. Totally against this medal.

Interesting. How many children today mimic what they see and hear without understanding their words or actions. Script writers put words in childrens mouths that should never be there. How many children are taught to hate and trained to eliminate? Why would we say the mimicry of Ameca is 'not real"? Are the words less hurtful if spoken by someone who doesn't understand. Of course not. It's only after training can a human finally understand the effect their words and thoughts have on others and even then, it doesn't mean they will care. Empathy is not built in to humans.

Since the capitalist class currently runs the world, and the international working class produces the wealth, and the wealth we produce entails vast environmental pollution, it seems that a potential danger of AI is that the capitalist class decides to use these robots to replace workers (who are prone to fight for better working conditions and democratic rights). As more robots can replace workers, the reserve army of unneeded human workers will be allowed to starve (or be killed off, since they will cause a problem of vagrancy, desperate theft, and attempts at fighting back against their replacement) leaving behind only a very small (compared to the current 8 billion people) ruling "class" that rules over and lives off of nonhuman slave labor. So the danger isn't that AI will rule over humans. It's that a small group of humans (those who currently hold power under capitalism) will simply kill off the rest of us and use slave AI to benefit only themselves. Not sure if they will even qualify as a "class" at that point, since the exploited "class" will be nonhuman tools. Maybe a higher stage of self exploiting self-employment class relationship: all human needs are taken care of by the ''labor'' of nonhuman self-repairing, self-maintaining AI tools. How this small surviving group of humans will relate to each other is unclear.

I genuinely feel bad for those who get "scared" or think it's evil. Lemme explain, it's just a robot with GPT 4 integrated, meaning it's mimicking a character that was pre-written in it's memory. It can only generate stuff based on that character. If you ask it very niche stuff, it obviously won't answer it right / won't answer at all.

People are so gullible! Anyone can eventually figure out that the designer of this robot has or had pre-initiated the response or phrase for Ameca, so I don't think the robot actually replied with the supposed "AI" brain response technology.😮
