  • Hope you enjoyed the video! Quick note about the Github code: Depending on your experience with Python and your technical know-how, you may or may not run into issues, especially when it comes to installing Python. The README should guide you through the process, but it is not meant to be a full how-to on installing Python, though I tried to be detailed. So if you run into issues, I'm really sorry, but I won't be providing tech support in the comments. I simply don't have the bandwidth to answer hundreds if not thousands of questions, and if I answer a few, it's only fair that I answer everyone. So if you run into problems, please look for a resolution online - I promise you will find something, but it will likely take some effort. That said, I hope you all get to enjoy the Music Machine to its fullest! It's quite a magical experience and we're really proud of what we've put together. ♥

      @EEEEEEEE@EEEEEEEE8 ай бұрын
    • @@Yorick257 a bit better ? Haha haha ah... It depends really on the project but there are some projects which can lead to demonic sessions on debugging... the worst part is when you can't understand why it happens or when you have hard time debugging since it's hard to get actual informations. For example I once used js web scrapping to scrap a piece of data ona website, it worked, and then i decided to loop it over 100 times to get 100 pieces of data, but this time it didn't worked. Those kind of problems are horrible because you can't simplify it to debug it since the simplified version worked fine and trying to debugging on a 100 times loop is just sheer nightmare. Especially when you can't get clear logs and when the execution take time. For instance on Ai project when an error in the logic of your training part occur you can't just run it out differently too much, since training the model all over again can take at best hours, at worst days or months.

    • Can do interesting things with it to. I've used it as a clock before it's main function is a safety mechanism though it's really easy to accidentally make a self powering torch (torch powers something that powers the block it's on causing it to depower) which causes a bunch of one tick pulses. So because for better or worse this game was originally a school project, notchs solution was to just make the torch turn off for an extended period if it's constantly turning on and off in 1 tick pulses.

  • Did I guys consider loading the music in a redstone memory and play it then later? You'll thus have less constraints on the hopper timing this way

    @gwennaneliezer8490@gwennaneliezer84908 ай бұрын
    • That would have been a lot bigger, but yes we would indeed have less trouble with the hoppers

    • @@jazziiRedtrue that would be at the very very very least 2 blocks per disk in your double chest, so around 3000 blocks (using arrays of comparators, and maybe a collection of arrays of comparators could do a semi-random access memory, if you see what I mean). I don't know the current size of your whole project tho 🤔

Not only is your machine one the most creative use of redstone components I've seen in a while, with the use of jukeboxes and the creation of a brand new redcoder, but the quality of the video itself is leagues above your usual content. I sincerely hope this video blows up and your channel with it, because you and Mooncatcher DESERVE recognition for what you've worked on for months.

  • I just had to do something for university for an hour or so, and added this video to "watch later" (which I have never done before, btw) and this video quadrupled in views! Completely deserved, btw I earlier hypothesised about this exact type of music machine, and faced the same problem, of not being able to convert pure information to the position of noteblocks fast enough. Seriously, expect this to become an end-game redstone contraption that KZheadrs are going to build in their megabases. Really hoping this project continues, I am wondering whether it is realistic to make music in completely in Minecraft, because that sounds sick.
