  • It wasn't an interview. It was an autopsy, with Emily wielding the scalpel and just cut, cut, snip, cut, cut to find out what is so rotten with the corpse.

    • you can only blame him so far....many of us would turn out the same if brought up catered to and never put right. Humans depend on proper socialization which it sounds like he did not get, and spoiling a child is an insidious form of child abuse, never mind everyone around you spoiling you. Imagine how you would turn out, if you had certain traits leaning toward narcissism already?

  • Is it the most important Royal interview in our lifetime though? I would say that Princess Diana's 1995 interview with Martin Bashir was a big deal. I know there's was some controversy around how he obtained the interview but it will still go down in history as one of the most iconic interviews with a member of the Royal family. I don't think the interview with Andrew sits on the same level as the one with Diana but that's just my opinion.

    @AnnaLizzyRose@AnnaLizzyRose28 күн бұрын
    • It was iconic, the fact that I 'remember' it despite not being alive kind of proves it, but not as important: infidelity is not as important as child trafficking, no matter how how unique and hard was Diana's position.

      @siracastori01@siracastori0128 күн бұрын
    • @@siracastori01 of course child trafficking is important thing to shine a light on. It's also important for us to remember with any media outlet that it is also a business that wants to make money. What else what said in this interview that was edited out to make Prince Andrew appear a certain way, these are all questions we should be asking ourselves. The truth is always complicated when it comes to the media.

      @AnnaLizzyRose@AnnaLizzyRose28 күн бұрын
    • @@AnnaLizzyRose I don't think the interview was edited at all. The entire process was independently recorded by Andrew's people who were also in the room when it took place and if something shady happened on the BBC side, they sure would have released the full version after all the backlash. My point was different anyways, of course news outlets have their own angle often (financial or otherwise), but I was responding to the comparison with Diana's interview you deemed more important. I disagree simply because of the theme of the two interviews, not the news outlets.

    • Right, Ghislaine Maxwell is in jail, but none of the men who ran the sex trafficking. She deserves to be there, but so do those who trafficked under age girls and boys.. I hope this Netflix series gives the victims of sex trafficking's the courage to come forward and maybe do a class action law suit against some of the powerful men they serviced.

  • So the interview achieved that we know more or less the truth about this devious character. With the result that a paedophile predator is still at large living a lavish life, gag money of £12 Mil paid by his mother which is also tax payer’s money. Not even a statement of regret from the perpetrator, no consequences under the law. Too honorable? This person has no honor or shame.

  • I watched the wonderful two part documentary on this interview. Brilliant viewing. What he said during a trade mission in some middle east country hoping to sell them fighter jets and he bulldozed in off the bat by saying "no need to buy these planes, just lease them.......". I then saw a video with a Royal policeman (YT) who confirmed that Andrew is a despicable person (treating everyone like crap, calling everyone an f'ing baffoon). Andrew knows nothing about real life, I bet he doesn't even know what a milkman or postman is, never seen a bill nor knows what they're for. One thing Jeffery got right (about Andrew) was that he is a 'useful idiot'.

  • Fascinating and complex job to be an interviewer. In PAs mind he no doubt thinks he did nothing wrong given she was 17 and chose prostitution, and feels HE is the victim. It explains the arrogance and calm demeanor. And many will agree with him contrary to what the media is pushing. Age 10 in the UK is the age of criminal responsibility, age 14 in the US. So how can she not be held accountable for brining other girls in? How is she a TOTAL victim as the media are portraying?
