  • The W12 engine vacuum lines on the Bentley is a common problem. I’m a Bentley tech and you CAN do the job without dropping the engine. If you remove the steering rack, you can get the replacement line installed with a good slap of elbow grease. This only works with the original plastic lines though. The upgraded metals one will not fit with that method. Like you said, unfortunately you have to drop the engine

    • Wasn’t this issue fixed during this generation of the Continental? Or is it the next Gen (aka current one).

      @WHTMAN-ei7ik@WHTMAN-ei7ik Жыл бұрын
    • @@WHTMAN-ei7ik the current one has a updated design yes. They haven’t been around enough to really see how much longer they last, but it’s still an entirely different system. The first and second generation continentals both suffer from the brittle vacuum lines.

  • The shop looks so organised and nice. I wish every shop was like this as some shops are not and give the automotive repair industry a bad name. I like this type of video because it is entertaining we get to see the amazing team you have, and it should take less time to edit than the more edited videos(I don't know if it does but if you could reply to this comment with the time it took I would be very grateful as I want to put more effort into my channel but don't know how much effort should be put into edititing). Sorry the comment is very long but I hope your business continues thriving and we continue to get amazing videos like this.

  • I think I’d be looking at splicing some new ends onto those tubes. Sure it’s not a factory fix, but if the customer is ok with it there’s some huge savings. If it doesn’t work you’re out $30 in parts and a couple hours. As a customer I think I would appreciate the option. If it was my car I’d be DIY fixing it like that for sure.

  • Good to see the shop and everyone pretending to get on when the camera comes out; keeping a mixture of "this process/job" and heavily edited and informal "day in the shop" kind of videos should make for a nice balance. I can 100% see why someone made a best effort repair on those vac lines, hopefully that wasn't done under Bentley warranty!

  • Could you please show us what methods you use and have to removing broken seized bolts snapped in the diesel injector department. I have 3 bolts and well a lot has failed. Reverse thread - JB weld - partial welding. The size bolt in question is 6mm thick. 1 cm below the deck line and inside the head. Ali head to be more precise. Steel bolts too.

    @jasonputtock4428@jasonputtock4428 Жыл бұрын
    • I haven’t had that exact issue before but I like the welding method. Add weld to the broken bolt until it reaches the top of the deck then put a nut on it and fill it with weld too. Let it cool down, work it back and forth until it comes free. Good luck!

  • Dang....I was under the impression that the 2008+ Gt's didnt require an engine drop to fix the notorious vac leaks. Do you guys work on Land Rovers? I have a 2016 V8SC that is making some ticking noise when cold. Might be timing chain tensionors or SC snout coupler.
