Everything Wrong with the CHEAPEST Bentley - Mistake buying a 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur?

We bought this 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur with 96k miles for the cost of a new VW Jetta. Twin Turbo W12 luxury cruiser, how could we go wrong with it at that price? Will this once $180,000 car remain a bargain? Prestigious brand, mega dollar when new. Will the needed repairs make it mega dollar now?

  • even if you spend $10K to bring it up to speed , you’re still riding in $160K Bentley , not too shabby if you ask me

  • My old man just bought one of these with a broken front bumper (all the grilles and lights and stuff are fine) for $18k Canadian. No major issues like the wastegate stuff you're dealing with, but so many little stupid things like missing knobs and doors not unlocking all the time, etc etc. So many features, so many things to fail. Great acceleration though.

  • Bro, anything with waste gate means carbon buildup. I worked on many supercharge vehicles, decarbonize and your codes go with it. Try a heavy duty catalyst cleaner, any carbon buildup prevents the sensor talking to the ECMs. Simple always first

  • Considering what happened with that Bentley Flying Spur in Niagara NY this week, I imagine Flying Spurs will be even more affordable. A known Stuck Accelerator problem is a "fault" that most people don't want to get anywhere near, even if it has a recall fix...

  • I love your channel. Keep it going as I have a very similar stable of cars with a NADA 109 (engine runs), three series 88’s and a 95 Disco 1. What is really weird is I bought a w12 Phaeton which is ver similar to your Bentley. There has to be a name for this sickness. Cheers, Mark P. From Orange Park, FL

      @The_North0@The_North02 жыл бұрын
    • @@The_North0 1 year. Every one of these w12tts with over 60k miles has a cracked air line that can only be remedied with an engine out. That will solve most of the engine management lights that are seemingly erratic as well as lean codes. Performance indicators are only really visible if you drive spirited. When you step on it from a dead stop you'll noticed a stark difference from one thats had this fixed vs one that hasnt. I also did a 2006 to 2012 supersports front end conversion and used actual bentley parts, that didnt help my costs. Service-wise I spent $7,086 for daily driving costs which were typical costs
