  • For Canelo, no fight is too big or too small, he trains for every fight like he's fighting for his life. I believe anyone can learn this concept, but that mindset will never become a part of you unless you've live through it. Canelo's early life experiences shaped him into the man he is today, a man always fighting for his life. No fighter, no opponent should underestimate this man's dedication and commitment to excellence, to putting years and distance between himself (and his family) and the poverty he lived through as a child . And what's amazing to watch is how in the gym Canelo is not the boss. He is ultimately trainable; teachable. He takes direction well, and always seems to put himself in the position of the lifelong student. This is sharp contrast to someone like Deontay Wilder, who thinks he knows it all. I believe that for as long as Canelo wants to compete, or as long as his body holds out, he will always be that student of boxing, willing to do and to learn whatever he needs to become the best at his craft. Champ, stay hungry. Stay humble.

    • @@hwestin0 What fighter at that level isn't training for his life? Mikey Garcia. [Never ask a question you don't know the answer to.] Not everyone lives the life they've chosen to the fullest. Saying everyone trains like their life depends on it is like saying every NBA player practiced like Kobe Bryant. Kobe was always the first one in the gym and the last to leave; drill after drill, 500 to 1,000 jump shots per day. And we all know that just wasn't true about other NBA players. Not even Jordan trained as hard as Kobe. And Canelo is Kobe type of special, at least in terms of his dedication to his craft. There are levels in all things in life; there are your Eddie Van Halens, and then there are guys playing guitar in lounges and garages in Minnesota. Not everyone trains with that type of intensity. That is a fact of life. If you're older than 30, you should know this by now. If not, maybe you're not paying attention, or you're doing something wrong.

Those are the three energy systems involved in any sport, you can change the movmentes, the intensities and timess are more important in order to train the intenden system. Is important to train all three at least once per week (if you want to have better conditioning) TLDR: the 3 energy systems need specific times and intensities in order to make your recovery, work capacity, and explosiveness better.

    • Oh bull shit. I love canelo. Canelo is awesome. Boxers only get drug tested at weigh ins. That means, every boxer takes something. You seriously think Anthony Joshua is natty? Erol Spence Jr? Manny Pacquiao? If so, I have a bridge to sell you. Many drug experts have examined the level of clenbuterol in Canelo's system when he popped positive. It would have been physically impossible for his levels to have been that high from tainted meat, unless he was eating 50lbs of meat a day. Derek from MorePlates did a breakdown of it as well if you want to watch a youtuber examine it. There's a reason he had a 6 month suspension. But it doesn't matter! Caleb Plant takes stuff to, I guarantee you of that. Any pro boxer with a trainer worth his salt is taking something, because boxing drug tests are the easiest thing in the world to pass. Canelo took his clen too close to weigh in one time, and he paid the price for it. But to act like it was from tainted meat like he claims just shows an absolute lack of any knowledge on endocrinology whatsoever. You can still love Canelo and be okay with him getting caught one time for a drug everyone in his weight division takes.
