DOTs Vader! Precision Passing Tutorial - 2md vr football highlights
This is one of my favorite plays, I call it DOTs Vader! It's a bit different than the deep ball plays, but it's very fun. I try to explain it and show some different variations. The key is timing. Let me know what you think and post your favorite plays!
DOTs Vader Play detailed
WR1 - Matched with the safety. Safety will either play inside or outside. If 1-on-1 throw to the open space (inside or outside). The LB may shift to create double coverage, making the throw more difficult. If the LB shift , this will typically open passing lanes for WR2.
TE - Slant/Seam - Matched 1-on-1 and should get separation for easy throws and RACs. LB may shift for double coverage
WR2 - LEFT fade route. Should be 1-on-1. EXCELLENT PASS FOR CLUTCH MOMENTS. Great for later rounds when WR1 and WR2 are double covered.
Key notes
The 3 main routes need timing and velocity. Try and overthrow the receivers to get over-the-shoulder catches and RACs.
NOTE:
This play is not really designed to get players open. Mostly just 1-on-1 in and/or in open space.

Thx Bro! I got some more tape to edit. stay tuned!
Good video
Thanks Bro!
Why does it not let my TE move off the line when drawing up this play? It is stuck on the OL?
I dunno bro. I don't think the exact placement is that important, however, you want to allow enough time/distance for the crossing routes to avoid any backups. Other key point is to force a single safety defense, and to read the safety to find the open space.
how are you WR so fast?
I never skip leg day
@@rocketcannonvr8939 lol, but like actually, are you doing something or is that just that.?
@@baldeagleeditz2477 I try and jump and lean forward to undercut the ball I guess??
@@baldeagleeditz2477 instead of having ur receivers run a a straight route try doing a go route with an outside release it makes them lose the defenders quickly. If u don’t know what an outside release is just make u route look like a j
