A few months after that, this huge dude at the Indianapolis Airport told her he'd never seen a kid that young with a Jason necklace. It was Kane Hodder, who played Jason multiple times including the Manhattan one. He was cracking up when she told him about the head part, and LOVED that she named her puppy after him. If a student used a method I didn't taught and even that I don't know, I would congratule the student and thank him for showing me an interesting way to do it. And the next batch of students would hear that there was a student who ... ^^ I will also be a teacher who devise problems with nice alternative solutions and shortcuts for the astute students. It's true that student have to learn the things, but why not make them enjoy it untethered of fear of mistake and judgement ? Also, the school in which I am learning is pushing Montessori method (socioconstructivism) and it happen that when I discovered her, I admired her work. • What an incredible teacher and advocate to gently guide what he perceives as a novice climber into more difficult tasks. This teacher needs to own his own climbing facility and he's an incredible example of what teaching, patience and encouragement can do for a "beginner". This guy is brilliant. Someone needs to give this man a raise and a promotion.

You see the tension in his face, absolute focus on the student, that constant wish of "I wish he does well, I want him to do well", which is actual mental effort good teachers find themselves in, even though it doesn't really do anything. I recognize on him everything I go through watching students :)
