Old cars are the best. Like you say the simplicity, analogue and honesty they have. I say this looking at the parts of my engine sat in the conservatory.
Becky you should look at getting the underside of it dry ice cleaned. Will gently remove all age grime and make it look lovely and shiny.
Being in the UK, no doubt some laser removal of any surface rust afterwards will be a must as well. Then a nice fresh coating of modern spray transparent cosmoline.
It’s a nice feeling getting everything up together on your machine. 😊
The 930 is beautiful, in one of the best colours too ❤ can’t wait to see it detailed 😊
Awesome car Becky love the shape and colour . Glad to see your looking after her and keeping her OEM not spoiling it . Cant wait to see when shes been detailed
Yessss Jim! Proving that you inherited the brains of the family 💖
Bless her she hasn't got a clue! Lots to learn....
hahhahahaahah. Boy!! Is that an understatement........RIP CV/Boots LoL
Great video, drove a couple back in the 80's. Front end skipping and it trying to kill you when the boost kicks in. It's a handful!
OMG yessss I've been waiting for a 930 video for AGESSSSS .. ❤️❤️
Me too
Becky, I love the mouse and seatbelt story. Many years ago I was travelling home with my rottweiler in the back seat lovingly resting his head on my shoulder. Found out the next day he had chewed through my seat belt.
I can’t express how much it is the way to go that you just find something small or large to fix each time you get a service. Funny how when you get it back & the small things make the difference that make your motor SO nice to drive.
Such a beautiful machine 🔥🔥
Wheels look so good Becky!
Becky wasn’t even born when I first stated planning to buy a Porsche 911 Turbo at 14 years old in the late 70s. I had a newspaper round back then. Still haven’t got there, I stopped halfway got a 928 and was smitten for 12 years, it was a great stop gap. But, now as an engineering consultant the journey to own a grail 911 turbo continues 45 years on. Just a matter of being a little bit selfish and telling the family ‘it’s me time’ 😂
I owned a 930 from late 80's to 2012, once carefully warmed to 90 deg , awsome motor not many thinks go wrong being air cooled bullet proof ,Nice example and awesome colour
I love this 930. It’s in awesomeshape.❤
Your car is gorgeous, the color is spectacular . I have a 90 964 Turbo & it's a lot of fun
Becky, your Porsche is a peach! Missed her on the channel, please carry on enjoying and loving her when you get her back. And hopefully we’ll see you enjoying her on the channel regularly too! I definitely need to work harder so I can get one of these!
Stunning ❤
You have a gorgeous car brings back so many great memories. Bought a black on black 98 Targa in1998 for 62K. Was the last year of the air cooled engine with the sliding glass top. One of my big regrets was selling that car a few years later.
Gorgeous car, love the colour. 930 is a fine choice of classic 911, you have great taste I have to say. I got bit by the Porsche bug 2 years ago and love every minute I get to drive mine. In fact, I'm going to head out across the Brecons tomorrow 😃
Excellent video! if the bushing in the steering wheel is installed backwards, it’ll also give you the feeling of the steering wheel being loose. Good thing you sorted that out.
She’s a absolute beauty ❤ and the colour, my favourite colour at the moment ❤
Hello good to see you talking about the Porsche and what is wrong with it? Totally agree it’s a beautiful antique collectors dream car. I wish I had money and I’ll do the same thing for one look after it. Enjoy driving especially during summer. Thanks for putting the video out, for more videos content you put out have a great day
I'm lucky that my brother and I can swap cars and he lets me drive his '87 Supersport. These are fantastic cars and for him, it's a forever car. Loving the 930 turbo, and like all classics (old stuff), they can be a real pain sometimes, but provide drama and adventure stories which most newer cars cannot give. I'm all for the classics.
I can't begin to tell you how much I love that 'Black Forest' paint. Breathtaking. But the things that bother me greater are: a) You should park car at mechanics until all Uni/CV joints are cleaned greased and ALL BOOTS immediately REPLACED. That's NOT a service!! That is an out right hazard! b) when you get a chance, purchase some 'Rust Inhibitor' with etching properties. A good spray product will chemically react with Flash/Surface rust along inside rocker/sills/wheel arches etc. Any good resto shop in UK should have excellent recommendations. Or LMK and I'll send you names of product we use here in the North East. Right product really works really well....
This is all your opinion, I will be guided by the Porsche centre on what is the appropriate next steps. I brought it there to learn about what I needed to have done - so you trying to belittle me in other comments about my 'lack of knowledge' is just making you look like a jealous old twat. I have no problem learning new things, I am grateful to have been able to buy myself this car and it is thoroughly enjoyed on the road. Oh and by the way expert, it is Moss Green Metallic paint.
Hi Becky, enjoyable vlog. I think it would be a good idea to get the car undersealed underneath. You could do it yourself with something like lanoguard rust protection (not sponsored, lol!).
My favourite model of Porsche. They have never looked the same since they dropped the whale tail.....bring it back i say. Good video Vicky
Just an absolutely stunning icon of a car !😊
We use the same place for the satnav! 😊
Glad to see another video of your 930 and the fact you can enjoy her this summer. I just spent the past few weekends removing my turbo, sending it off for rebuild and re-installing so I too can hopefully enjoy my '79 this summer. What's the scoop with your boost guage? Looks like it might be wonky :) I really like your green color and matching colored wheels.
Thank you for this video!! Watching from Big Island Hawaii !!!! My Porsches are on the Main land Los Angeles California U.S.A !!
Lovely car, great colour too, I can't help thinking it might look better with the original fuchs with the centres painted in body colour.
Magnificent car and color as well 👍🏻
Just found ya channel! Is ya baby Dark Olive Metallic? About to change my 2008 Boxster to a GT-1 and repainting it that color after the new LS engine goes into it. Keep pumping out these great videos! Much loves from the states 😂
What's going on with your boost gauge? 35 year porsche tech here. My strong recommendation is to find a good independant shop that specializes in the older models. At least in the USA, the Porsche Classic dealerships are way behind in experience/skills to the indy's
It‘s a beauty 👌 I drive a 996.2 GT3 and yes it is only 20 years but I feel kind the same. Also the GT3 has a lightweight horn, meaning the engine is louder 😂🙈
The930 is my favorite 911 Porsche. The newer cars have more power and electronics but I love the analog responses the older cars have, plus the whale tale is way better than anything the new cars have.
Avoid throttle lift off mid corner... otherwise perfect! Love the colour.
Depending on what you want to do with car later on, call some of tuners in the states(Protomotive or Turbokraft) or in Germany, and see what tou can order. 450 whp is relatively easy to get too if you want to go a little quicker
It’s where Porsche can pull your pants down and nobody can hear you scream as you get bill.
Its always a good day when the hottest vlogger posts a video! Happy days! 🍺
Only half the twin air horn is working.
Cheers Jim
She's a beauty, and those arches ❤ My 997 seems modern in comparison!
Becky, you pointed out the kidney bowls but that isn’t where they are. They are on the rear of the door lock receiver and will bubble if they are rotting. I’ve had both of mine done on my 930.
It was about the time this one was built that I was able to pay a visit to the Porsche factory in Stuttgart and tour the manufacturing facility and see these cars being built Truly awesome to see how it was done. Not completely hand built but a large part of the process was hand fitting and hand finishing, Absolute quality in there. Nice car you got.
I’ve visited there too in the late 80s, my dad owned a Porsche dealership and sold a 959 and the customer can go to the factory to pick it up or get the dealership to do it. When I was there they have 4 other 959s. The drive home was incredible.
Awesome 😊
Very nice old Porsche not in likeing left hand drive but if you used to then fair play to you I would keep getting in the wrong side 😂🤣 i would get underneath dry iced and coating to stop the rust nice to see a garage which treats you right and you keeping it up with the service but you must deep pockets to even own one
Love a lag monster. It started with the t4 Garrett on my cossie I ended up with a R32 GTR with a t78 it came on boost at 5500 rpm 😂😂
I do love. your car, everything about it is perfect.lovely colour
There the best looking 911's. I love them. Great colour too. 😊
In 1980 when i was 33 a cient of mine asked me to pick his 930 up from Geneva and drive to his home in Gothenburg ( Sweden ) One of the best experience of my life !!! I do understand you passion for one of the most iconic cars ever built. Enjoy.
Your 930 (no need to add turbo as the 930 IS turbo ) is really a dream car. Only one issue for me : why no Fuchs rims ?
Because I think Fuchs are a boring choice.
Dream car!
you r Porsche 930 is my dreamcar. it is so beautiful 😍😍 Greets from Stuttgart 🙃
Still love the colour
I sometimes pop into Wolves Porsche to dream...Very polite and welcoming dealer in my experience
Awsome car
I really want you to visiting J.P. Performance and meet up with Jean Pierre to talk Porsche. I know it's not easy, but damn how would I love to see this. Love your Vlog Becky.
Looking nice, will it be shown at Flat Six again this year?
Hello I like your KZhead videos and a 930 is one of my favourite Motors. I’m into bikes though I love cars as well.
❤😂😢😮😅😅😊 if you know where reading is England, I will come there and you show me all over there where he was born. Have a good week like I say take care and remember there’s no substitute but Porsche.
Beautiful car
Nice!
What a car.
my dream car, a widow maker 🥵
Your horn should have 2 trumpets. I believe one of yours is not working. Great looking car. Cheers
Exhaust sound check revved
Hi Becky i had exactly the same car?/colour only RHD wish i still had it now lol.
Your car is your baby.. of course it has a birthday! 😆
One cool look car
Why can't all Porsche centres be like that!? I wish I lived closer to a decent one.
Hilarious 2 things. First. Poorsche. Second. Eyebrows 😆😆🤘🏻🖤🇬🇧
Do not change the wheels. Soo good.. The horn should be changed, for safety ...
❤😂😢😮😅😅😊😊😊 that is a nice 930. I love those body styles. Take care of that nice awesome Porsche keep up the good work and I probably subscribe. Thanks and have a good day and have a good week and what part of England you’re from my grandpa was from reading England. Do you know where that’s at?
❤😂😢😮😅😊😊 and the turbo 930 is that a KK 35 turbo if it is it screams rips down the freeway and the Ferrari behind in the Lamborghini
Lovely car how much was the bill
911 …. The greatest shape in the history of auto mobiles
One of the best cars Porsche ever produced. Don't ever sell it
Brave driving with the seat belt in that condition……..
I have a rare 944 2.7 8valve.and i just have it back from the garage😅from the moment yoj have a porsche.1it cost a lot of 💵2a angry wife.3 a lot of fun on the road😂😂😂
A mouse ate my seat belts. #Porsche911
She needs a dry ice bath… love the color
Heyyy big head!
❤😂😢😮😅😅😊😊 is your 930 30 later or 33 or 32 which ever leader it is it’s still a nice Porsche
What are the kidney bowls for ???
Becky pointed out the covers for the torsion bars on the rear suspension. The kidney Bowls are the two recessed bits each side that house the door lock receivers, they basically rot from behind and are easily replaced by a body shop.
Here in America when you say 7° we're freezing our asses off😅😅😅 I have no idea who you are love the car
My biggest mistake was selling my venetian bleu 930 and I regret it every day.
One of the most beautiful cars of all time
...speedo not working, Becky?
❤😂😂😂😂😢😢😢😅😅😊😊😊 no Ferrari junk Porsche is much better car and you look good in that Porsche. Please take care. Have a great day.
😎😎😎😎😎Air cool life
It’s a terrible feeling when a rodent decides to take up residence in your car. I believe that a rat decided to make the hood liner a bed in my MK6 Golf R and almost caused the car to burn to the ground when the material it had dug up fell down on the exhaust.
930 means it is turbo, so if say 930 turbo, it is the same as you say 911 turbo turbo. 🖐
First 🙂
Lovely car. Why the big head thumbnails though?
i not at least 15 yrs old
This 930 deserves the Original 7 and 9 " x 16" Fuchs correct factory anodized lips and black centers and the original steering wheel. It just looks right with Fuchs and non airbag original wheel. I understand trying to look like a 964 but it is not. Keep up the good work these are special cars.
car looks great. people can modify their car how they like. that nardi looks infinitely better than the stock wheel mate
Fuchs are the most boring wheel to put on this car. I don't want it to look like every other one out there. And the non air bag wheel sucks in my opinion. You like OEM I like OEM+ we are not the same.
@@digitaldave137 well thats your opinion and Im good with that.
@@BeckyEvans thats the 1st heard Fuchs being boring but I get what your saying you want it to be more modern looking like a 964.
You still have the evo build
JDM fans like me look forward to that
