Besiktas is a nice spot..I bought one in Sariyer 6 years ago.Since than price tripled👍 happy days🎉🎉

Awesome views! Might consider putting some sort of bird box on outside of top window that would make spring, summer pretty cool watching babies grow up each year. Nice top terrace I'm sure you guys already figured out if a extra permit was needed or if the extra footage is written in on your buy. Congrats on the new apartment that view is killer! Wonder if you could paraglide from terrace to the ocean )

Great view. But that flat looks like it will fall apart any minute. Be careful as Turkey is an earthquake country many buildings over 25 years old were not built according to the earthquake building regulations. So these buildings are not sought out by locals. They go go for new ones. Wish you the best.

Wow the view is just amazing. I hope you'll enjoy every moment while staying there :) Turkey offers a lot, especially if you are independent -remote worker -digital nomad. Food is amazing, weather, people are nice -generally. As long as you don't involve with politics and avoid of any type of bureaucracy :) And every city has its own unique way of food and settlements. You will explore more and more about it. Hope all goes well with you guys.

Congratulations to you! How exciting to have found such a view. Lots of love and hard work will pay off in your investment. We stayed in that area for 6 weeks, very vibrant . Unfortunately we are still struggling to find affordable decent place to live.. it’s been a stressful struggle for 2 months. The language barrier plus Sahibinden listings are asking for 1 year plus commissions.. .. many over priced listings with tiny living spaces. Please pray we find something or back to the USA we will go.

Congrats on the apartment, it looked like there is a mosque right next door, if there is, you gotta get use to call of prayer, especially in the wee hours of the morning, I remember that from my time in Bebek, never got use to it, used to sleep with ear plugs on, but loved Istanbul :)

It’s an amazing property right in the heart of the city. My wife and I were in Turkey last month (stayed at Beyoglu) and we have seen how beautiful this location is. I live in Istanbul wow what a view. I don't recommend old buildings due to earthquakes and also security issues. A compound is way safer and a lot of people get robbed in these buildings. Make sure you secure your place well.

Hi guys. Nice video, in Turkey, there is an earthquake regulations for buildings after 1999 earthquake. You should have an expert check the building if it complies with sysmic regulations.
Hi! Thank you! Yes we had an expert make a test on the building and they approved the condition of the building for seismic integrity. The municipality has also approved the property for renovation. We highly recommend anyone buying property in an old building to do this. Great comment! Thanks again!
Earthquake is a big problem in Istanbul, it's not a question of if it's gonna happen, it's a question of when it's gonna happen. With the current urbanisation of Istanbul, we are talking about death rates in millions. Please don't let the builders butcher the colums, i can see they already put a light switch on a cloumn, that column will be the line between life and death during an earthquake. Also imagine how many columns were butchered below your apartment which you don't know about. Turkish builders known to cut entire columns just because it was on their way. One more thing you need to insulate underneath the roof, I'm talking about heavy insulation, otherwise the amount of electricity you will spend to cool your apartment in the summer will be so high. I hope you will have your dream apartment at the end of the building process 😊

I would personally go for having the kitchen in the lower level with a large living area (no sliding doors) and make the upper level all bedrooms and maybe a den.

Hi Daniel, unfortunately the app is in Turkish only. We used google translate 😅 We are not sure that you can get the documents online, we suggest you get a Turkish lawyer that speaks language and know the process if you aren’t planing to come to Turkey yourself, the process of buying a property is a bit involved and you need to have a lawyer or an agent that can help facilitate the process. Hey! Thanks for watching our videos 😊 The permission was acquired from the municipality itself, you don’t have to get the permission of the residents .. but it is often a case by case situation, definitely have to do your due diligence before planning to start the renovation process

Be careful for earthquake in Turkey

@@HowWeLife hopefully the building itself is not too old. For constructions built before 1980 experts are recommending evacuations as these are too risky for a major earthquake. Many of our friends are moving because of this reason.
