Hello Singderellos
In this video I react to a fully mindblowing performance of 'SOS dun terrien en détresse' by a potnetial alien called Dimash Kudaibergen. Probably the most incredible singer technique wise I have EVER heard. In this video, I am watching this performance for the very first time and I analyse his performance and vocal technique.
For lessons, workshops and video submissions please check out my website www.thefairyvoicemother.com
I'm so excited to be a part of your singing journey, It's one that truly never ends.

I was incredibly impressed with not only the fact that she could discuss the techniques but that she could also replicate them on the spot. I would love to see a duet with these two. 🙏

  • I enjoyed your reaction and comments. Dimash was 22 in this performance and a wild card on the Singer which is a competition for professional singers. At the time he was the youngest ever contestant and the first non-Chinese contestant. They didn’t expect him to go past the first show so he performed first. He became an overnight sensation in China. He won the round as well as his second round with Opera 2 a Vitas cover and he later won the round he sang Adagio in. He came in second overall. He is now 26 and has a huge fan base around the world called Dears(as in dear to his heart). He sings pretty much any genre but neo-classical or pop-opera is a niche of sorts. He loves blending everything from opera, jazz, traditional Kazakh music and more into a song to express his feelings. He is from Kazakhstan and speaks both Kazakh and Russian. He is getting more fluent in English by the day. During the singer he could basically say hello, goodbye and thank you. Which when you watch English songs especially early on is noticeable. He is also learning Mandarin.

She can analyze any performance I'd still watch, though :) As for why people like to recommend sinful passion.. hmm, good question. I don't know... maybe coz a lot of people like it? It shows both his low and high range, his ethnic influence and crazy runs, and amazing breath support? Maybe? In my opinion, it won't be all out, Dimash has simply too many crazy amazing performances LOL :D... If she prefers to do it chronically that would also be fine. He, like Angelina has been brought up singing since a very young child and training 5-6 hrs a day. Both parent are singers. He speaks several languages. He also plays several instruments, Including a couple that are known to be originated from the Kazakhstan area. Very unusual yet beautiful sounds. Damash puts a lot into his performances and also always has beautiful lighting and special effects on his stage. Always first class. • You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars. People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on KZhead with the story of each song. They are obstinate and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? He doesn't need paid advertising because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he provides them to overcome depression, others say he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe he is an angel or a superhuman. If you send in that Michael Jackson had some diehard fans, Dimash fans, who call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all. As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed in 2017. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible and, at first glance, he also seemed like a very humble person. The 26-year-old Kazakhstan artist reached stardom for the first time after participating in some national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, taking second place in the Chinese program - I Am A Singer 2017-. In this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against established and professional Chinese artists. One of the songs I heard him sing was a popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song by Daniel Balavoine. I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classic, but he can sing pop songs extremely well. Your choice of original songs and covers is never obvious and always leaves the listener in awe. What shocks me the most is the use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to hit super low notes and jump to highs so perfectly, without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive feature of his voice is the use of the "whistle". I never heard a man use this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but her whistles are incredible. You just need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it is impossible to explain this talent with words. His vocal range is incredible. Its length is 6 octaves and 5 semitones, ranging from a low A1 to an incredible D8. Observing this, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones from him, I wonder if one day he would try to beat the record. Another thing that caught my attention, was the perfect pitch always impeccable . He is probably the only singer who has never been challenged on any score, which is why many people have given the nickname "Alien". But impeccable technique and interpretation are not Dimash's only qualities. We learned about his humanity at the -Best show in the world-, a reality show competition, where he competed in 2019. After a few episodes, when Dimash learned that he needed to compete with the kids, he decided to give up. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition with children when he signed the contract, and such an action would have been against his morale. Incredibly, that explanation was not included in the broadcast episode, which left us perplexed after listening to RuPaul, or I must call it the "Paul Rude" explosion. Dimash's resignation was, in my opinion, an altruistic and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to maintain his integrity, and that is what we saw in this incredible artist. The American show increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer abroad, so much so that one of his songs, in Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020. The love for his country and his honesty are always visible in all his performances. Each of his concerts always includes cultural aspects related to his country, such as the use of private instruments for accompaniment or traditional clothing and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in your native language was anything but casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase the popularity and recognition of his country. After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. Your last Instagram post just mentioned: It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, mainly thanks to Kazakhstan. Because I grew up in Kazakhstan, I ate Kazakh dishes, I studied with a Kazakh vocal educator, I was raised in a Kazakh family. And the main stimulus that moves me is my nation and my country! After all, I think we have now answered my previous question. What made this artist so close to his fans? And what does he have that others don't? An incredible voice is not enough today. Social media has brought artists closer to their audience, who want to make sure that whoever is following is someone to relate to. Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason, but also for their humility and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough and, at the same time, so realistic that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where talent and simplicity often go hand in hand, Dimash is a real pleasure for everyone. For these reasons, I became a fan of the artist, not only admiring his art and technique, but also applauding a way he is dealing with his success. Greetings from Portugal

All on top of (USUALLY!😭) touring the world and racking up a crazy amount of air miles, practicing his vocals for three hours a day, learning English as his third language (he's fluent in both Kazakh and Russian) and doing his best (though struggling a LOT!) with Mandarin Chinese, providing various OSTs for movies, TV shows and video games, recording a hit album that went triple platinum in a matter of minutes with another album currently in production, and winning several trophy cupboards' worth of prestigious awards in both pop *and* classical categories... etc, etc, etc - yup, I'm definitely guilty as charged!😉😆 Sending much love to you, from a UK Dear :) 🤗😘❤🇬🇧

  • this is the best reaction ever❤😂 no one is ever ready for Dimash, NO ONE. the first time I heard him singing I laughed, cried, gasped and got chills all in the same 15 seconds😂 I don't necessarily believe he's human, proof aliens exists lol

    • @@jaydenball5644 Haha! I discovered Dimash in May 2018. There is 365 days in a year. Usually I hear it at list twice a day. That makes it about 3000 times 😅

  • Not a criticism of your review-I loved everything you mentioned. After the question about a male mixing F#5, the next phrase is one of my favorites, because of the insane change, and that didn’t make it into the video. I really, really wanted to see and hear your reaction to that moment! “Un grand grand lotto…” was such a vast change from his immediately previous higher notes-I wanted to see your reaction. I dropped my phone, and I’m an untrained layperson. But I’m also coming to your channel long (2+ years) after you posted this. So first and foremost, thank you for taking the time to watch that video and create a reaction. And I will continue to watch and follow your channel.

  • The first time I heard him was that same video on KZhead. I played him all night as loudly as possible. Lather, rinse, repeat! Over and over I listen

  • I really appreciate Fairy Voice Mother reproduce what Dimash is doing. It gives me additional points of reference to establish some kind of idea how difficult it would be to assemble a complete performance and perform it live in front of a large audience and lets not forget about the judges as well. I mean what kind of vocal risk taking is hidden in the subtle changes in this kind of cutting edge performance? I appreciate "Mother" preparing her voice in advance of watching these performances. So many other vocal instructors fail to do this and then offer excuses why they "are not warmed up yet so I cannot reproduce what Dimash just did" (but rest assured I could do it if I was properly warmed up). Well, Mother Fairy was warmed up and did reproduce what he did perfectly and this impresses the cr-p out of me and boosts my confidence in her ability break it down and demonstrate just how technically difficult some of the vocal techniques Dimash strings together seamlessly. Bravo. My respect for you and your mastery of the singing skills and the mechanics necessary to produce them, not only vocally but theoretically, all this is music to my untrained ears. I don't know what to listen for, I can hear and react emotionally to Dimash, but I cannot understand why my body insists on crying and I get all choked up inside. I hear music and his voice interact with each other and 99% of the time I do not understand the language he is singing in, but it does not seem to matter to my body, it reacts I think even more emotionally "pure" because I am not translating words into thought-speak trying to keep up and listen at the same time. If I just listen to the sounds of the words and how he stretches and softens in one place and boosts and emphasizes the same phrase elsewhere, my body seems to hear and understand what is going on even if I don't. The less I think about what I need to think about, the more my body tells me how it feels, and drags me along with it for the emotional roller-coaster ride. Its like listening to Dimash and the music combined takes me on a journey to places my mind does not have the words to describe, but my body seems tuned to receive whatever it is and translates into in a language I cannot speak, but I can feel its presence. I think this language is something inherent to being a human, part of the genome and is universally understood by all those who are willing to let get into those places inside of us, the heart, the mind, the solar plexus, and last but certainly not the least among them the erogenous zones. I think all humans have these places where we translate what we see, hear and feel while listening to music. Everybody comes equipped with these special places were music is transformed by the body into energy we can feel. When my areas become activated by the "sound of Music" "it makes me feel to move" a phrase I learned from Gino Vannelli kzhead.info/sun/isyjiJploIl_dJ8/bejne.html. For me, I think the pressures of living closely together in our complex society and the near universal addiction to and dependence on language skills, both written and spoken and now computerized, has domesticated my primal sensitivities, all but severing the mind-body connection using the unspoken language of how the body communicates with the mind. Sometimes when I lie very still and all is quiet inside and outside of me, I think I can hear my body talking to itself by listening to neural signals little "Songs Written In The Key Of Life" as Stevie Wonder said, passing by my inner ear. I think most people will agree these two the mind and the body are connected musically, but mine is hanging together by an emotional thread that Dimash and his music seem to be able to strengthen and allows me to feel what my body is feeling in ways I cannot comprehend. Intellectually I think my fallback position when the connection between the two is made stronger, like when I listen to Dimash singing , I start tearing up uncontrollably. Mentally I cannot process this bodies language, what it is saying to me intellectually, but I can feel it talking to me. If I had to put words to what I feel, what my body is saying to me is this "Dimash is singing to me, he is saying "lets take a little musical journey to the center of your mind and I will lead you, but we will ride this out together. Hold on as best as you can, and better grab that box of tissues and bring it with you, you're probably going to need them". Does anybody else interpret what your body is saying to you in a similar way? Fairy Voice Mother, I like how you put words together to help me understand all the things that your trained ear can hear and your trained eyes can see. I enjoy listening to you sing and how you show me what I am oblivious to until you call my attention to what is going. It makes it seem more "real" to me when you show and tell using your own voice and body for demonstrations of cause and effect. If I knew a fourth of what you know, then perhaps I could understand my bodies reactions to its own musical interpretations, and why I turn on the tears in response to it. Involuntarily I will remind you. It is rather strange to tend to my bodies reactions and not know what is causing them.

  • Hiya, I've watched quite a few vocal coaches critique oor lad Dimash, always funny watching you guys get blown away from his voice, us too. However you have been the first vocal coach to explain in anatomical terms for us non singers what is actually happening. Thank you for that. Don't know who you are just a random click but your insightful commentary and fun delivery made me smile. Like your quirky style too. Slainte 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍻😎
