  • Dimash, 6 Octave Range, F2 to the infamous D8. He's been singing since he was 5, his mother is a soprano opera singer and his father a singer also. He was 22 when he sang this song, and he's now 25, almost 26 this month. He's trained extensively in pop and opera. His range is basically from low Baritone (a bit of bass, tenor, and through the soprano ranges). The scary thing is he's even gotten better (which is hard to believe). He plays 8 instruments and sings in 12 languages. Although confident in his music, he's also very humble.

    • He is also getting his PhD in Music Composition. Since Dimash is also a native speaker of Russian, he may be the best singer of the Russian Song of all time. Also, the partnership of Igor Krutoy and Dimash Kudaibergen may be the best combination in Russian Pop of all time. If Dimash improves his Mandarin, he could dominate the Chinese Pop scene. Dimash has 600,000,000 fans in China.

So perhaps that suggests that he did train through puberty. It has never been a chore for his mentors to get him to train---more a chore to get him to stop and do anything else. But not REALLY a chore, because he cooperates with all of their advice.

He inhales and makes his chords thin to make these high notes work. Why I know? Because I know how to use Inhale Phonations.

    @GvenFlori@GvenFlori Жыл бұрын
    • OOO! Thanks! Finally, finally I heard what I'm talking about in many comments, I'm talking about falsetto, belting... The fact that Dimash, in his upper register, when he sings these high notes, sings with a voice, a real voice, and not in the falsetto or counter-tenor technique (although these techniques are in his arsenal), that he sings in his head register the way women do, Dimash was taught in as a child during the transition period, not to sing falsetto, but to sing as women sing and he mastered this perfectly and belting, it's not a belt, not a scream, it's a voice that sounds powerful, due to breathing, working with the diaphragm, as opera singers do, and not as they do / shout rock singers, Dimash masterfully mixes various techniques, it doesn't fit in my head how it is possible, but in the person of Dimash, it became possible! Bravo!

      @GvenFlori@GvenFlori Жыл бұрын
    • Марина, я полностьс Вами согласен - фальцет у Димаша возникает уже восьмой октаве, а все остальные звуки - это его собственный голос, которым он пользуется гениально. Как сказал один итальянский оперный певец, услышав пение Димаша" "Он гуляет по октавам, как по дорожкам в саду. У него ноты не по вертикали, как у других певцов, а по горизонтали - куда ему нужно, туда и шагнёт!". Не дословно привожу, конечно, а как уж запомнил, но смысл именно такой - Димаш гений вокала.

  • After hearing thousands of reviews I still think the last note where right at the end he goes from a soft breathy sound, moves into crescendo into pure tone and then fades away. This is outstandingly cleaver and musically profound. The last word he sings is Sleep. So to put his musical interpretation into context; when I go to sleep at night, just before I leave my body to go into the 4th dimensional astral plane, my conscious focus seems to suddenly and for only a moment, comes back into clear 3d focus, as if to take one last look at the 3D world before moving out of the body into 4D. This is exactly what happens when we die. How many times have you heard spoken that when someone is right there at the moment of death, they suddenly go from an unconscious focus to suddenly becoming awake and very conscious for just a brief moment and then they let go permanently. Now this isn't a permanent death transition only a brief sojourn into 4D sleep time that some have called a 'mini death'. Brilliant musical interpretation on the word final last word "sleep".

  • This dude gives me chills. Something extremely rare and divine happening here. He reminds me of the movie the fifth element where the alien sang in ranges like this but that was a fake movie with special effect..Dimash is actually doing it..and better than that movie. He is touched by god himself to bless us with this gift for a divine reason. It may be to encourage us to keep going in this tough world because when you hear him sing you know there is something much much more going on than we can comprehend which means God surely exists we just may not be yet able to comprehend the totality of that but we can recognise this voice comes from divinity. This is not coincidence that Dimash is here on earth and has this voice. Just know that God Surely loves us to send us someone so special. The fact I'm a Christian and Dimash is Muslim makes no difference to me since I know The lord can bless us in any way he chooses and through anyone..all for his purpose and reasons we may never understand. I think he does this to try and bring us together. Lord you are amazing and worthy of praise and glory..you are so good to us.

  • Hey, nice reaction/analysis, really insteresting, I enjoyed a lot watching it, thank's so much ! I have to say, welcome in the Dimash's world, where nothing is impossible ! And, you saw like 10% of what he can do, even when you follow him for months, or years, he always brings something new to the table, this guy is not from earth, for sure. For the question you asked, Dimash already answered it, yes, he have that soprano register since he is a child, and he worked on keeping it when his voice changed. He has an incredible range, like you notice, but it's a lot more impressive that what you just saw here. He can go higher and lower, (in chest, mix, head, or whistle) and he controls his voice in everything (vibrato, breath control, transitions, volume, runs... etc) and in every style of music. Even if his principal is called "pop'opera" by a lot of people or Dimash says "neoclassical". If you want to discover him in right order, you can continue with "The Singer" this was Ep1, the second is "Opera 2" a russian song (by Vitas) and it's... fun. kzhead.info/sun/lNKEnblpgWKibJ8/bejne.html Anyway, thank's a lot for this reaction, I hope another on Dimash ! • i just adore how professionals react to hearing him perform! its so nice to see people get genuinely excited in watching him, specially when they know exactly what is happening to his anatomy and how difficult what he is doing actually is! his voice is partially genetic, but they acknowledge the hard work and skill it must've taken him!!!!

  • Excellent reaction...you guess it right. Dimash is classically trained since age 5 and continue his training up to this day (he's 24). He was offered a position with the Kazakhstan Opera but he passed at the gig since he wanted to try luck at the pop scene with a mix of pop with opera and folk sounds, in a style he calls "neo-classical". Awsome explanation, thanks.

  • Dimash is THE KING! The first time I ever listened to this song was when Denis Ten brought it as music for his Figure Skating performance, and I clearly remember I was sure that there were two people singing, a man and a woman. I was literally stunned when I saw Dimash video and realized he was the only singer!
