Ragnick was the finest man since Ferguson and Utd tossed him aside. Why, he swiftly identified the culprits at Utd, i.e., the players, and for his crimes, meaning telling the truth, the cretinous senior management at the time, and the owners fired him. Led by the appalling Rashford, aided and abetted by others, some gone, some going, some still around, manager after manager has been seen off. Until Rashford and this dreadful, overhyped, overpaid, under committed, lazy, made of glass, mutinous squad are gone, Ten Hag or his successor face a losing battle. Ralf was 100% right.
I agree about the Rangnick bit.
Ragnick was right about the club, but he was not a great manager. Solskjaer had a torrid time the first part of the season, Ragnick made it worse. Media was saying it would take Man Utd 10 years to get back to the top. Yet, ETH overperformed one season and suddenly it's a disaster he won't make it to CL spots. Youth is the way and ETH deals with youth correctly
Ragnick was hired as Sporting Director/Director of Football. He was a bridging manager never properly supported by the Board and even less by the players, who hadn't even given his 'permanent' predecessors their full commitment. He didn't have a chance.

i agree. The same reality though is that we have been HORRIFIC for pretty much an entire season. I like Ten Hag, but he's taken no accountability for many of his own mistakes. It's sad to see another manager fall into the trap of fighting the media when their time is running up
ETH has gone through nothing but hell from the media from the minute he’s gotten there.. he could spend 10 mins at press conferences saying literally half my first team has been injured all season.. maybe more.. only dalot, Onana and Bruno have been regulars

Everyone gets injuries bro but not like united. Its a valid excuse when you have 0 player in certain positions. People usually cry injuries when 1 or 2 is missing. United had 60+ different injuries this season. @@jamiebaker8017

but when managers result to fighting the media it always signals the end is near. Happened with 4 of our last 5 managers. Ten hag is overseeing one of the most horrific seasons we've had in almost 50 years. No English manager has ever won the PL yet they’ve got the nerve to pretend managers from other countries are horrendous. Rangnick was by no means a good ‘coach’ but he identified the major causes for concern and his words are still echoing even now. And even if he’s not the best coach, he’s 10x the manager Lampard and Gerrard are.
Ten Hag is doing a good job. 3 finals in 2 seasons is not to be sniffed at i think some people are clueless. Any other manager other than pep would bite your hand off for that.

Why do 95% of their performances look awful and really really bad? Why can't he have them playing with any sort of fluidity? I'm all for just looking at the number of finals & trophies to determine a manager's ability but they've had a pretty easy run to the FA Cup and tried their best to lose it.

The fact he made three finals in two years (1 league cup, and two fa cup finals, and who knows, we might even win against city!), says alot really. It's progress. Now let's back ten hag. Hopefully we have a good summer, sign some quality players (Centre back, Defensive centre mid should be a priority), and see how we progress next season. I would say, as long as we have a good transfer window in the summer, judge Ten Hag at the end of next season.

For the neutral, this game was a delight and epitomized what we love about the FA Cup. After over 50 years of supporting this isn’t the first or the last banana skin place in their path. Team has problems , but they’re not alone in that.
