  • Still have my 2005 LR3 which at 220K miles is still going strong! Only had to redo the transmission two years ago in addition to normal maintenance. I still get complements on it. Not instreamed in any of the aerodynamic crap they are selling today. Best vehicle investment I ever made. Thanks for this awesome video!

  • sick video. my dream car is an fj with more mods than the thing is worth but i got in a wreck a few weeks ago and will hopefully be getting enough from the insurance company to replace my car with an '06 model of the LR3. This video got me super excited to hopefully own one these gems.

    • @@The1979_ Unfortunately yes I did own a 2006 Handbrake . Emissions . Air suspension heater issues . Having said that it was lovely and comfortable to drive and easy on fuel .

  • Great vid though just be careful, that is a raised air intake, not a snorkel. It is not sealed for water... unless you have modified it of course.

  • @claytonbigsby246 Depends on where you are & if you install it yourself. In the US you can buy one on eBay for about $1,500 & install it yourself. Add lights, etc. & it goes up from there. I still need to find out if the front suspension needs to be upgraded, as these things are pretty heavy (I had one on my FJ Cruiser) Good luck!

    • Land Rover Disco 3 has variable suspension and is NOT an SUV! It is a 4WD. Also Landrover "only" make 4WD's, with one exception in recent times.

    • Sorry. No repairs in over 1 year of this type of use. Only cosmetic, tires and a sensor ripped by a flat tire. I would expect a couple of years later the wheel bearings and some bushings will need changing. I sold the car before that.

  • Today I was on a muddy terrain in the woods where I saw a Discovery 3 play in the mud. The man unfortunately got stuck in some medium deep mud... epic fail! When he tried to get out he just gave lots of gas and steered randomly to get out; the stupidest thing you can do in the mud. Isn't it? I walked up to him and told him that if he put it in mud and ruts and if he would give a steady, little amount of gas the traction control would find it's own grip and he would be able to drive out. The answer I got was: 'I know pretty well how to drive.' Was I right or did he do the right thing? When he went out of the mud he drove away very fast, like a complete idiot. children and people were walking on the terrain. What an asshole! - Got his Disco 3 stuck in some simple mud - He failed to get out in a proper way - He has a very big ego and doesn't even know his own car - Drives away like a complete idiot

  • Land Rover Discovery is Perfect. Perfect off roading. Perfect to sleep inside car. Only thing bad is... Air suspension replace cost is too high. Air suspension duration is too short and excange cost is really expensive. Fuel economy is not good.
