  • This comment section is sad. Do they not understand you could use this for water/wind generating. Add a large battery cell and inverter and boom. Inexpensive energy. Not a lot but enough because it is basically free

And felt attacked since now I'm in here learning how to wreck this alternator. Fyi, I personally don't live in anyones basement, I live in a camper in my mom's yard 😂. And im renovating and scratch self sustainable building. Is that a stereotype I should be aware of?

  • Agreed what's turning the pulley . U need something turning to create power . I've been working on one for 4 months and thanx to these videos it puts me a step back each time . I can produce 12.4 volt running inverters chargers and lights for 11 hours I tested and still on 12.4 v but not much power for anything else

    • What are you using to generate spin? Tweaking of the hub may be needed. Converted alternators without a voltage manipulating add on can and should be able to generate at least 24 to 48 volts at a relatively low RPM. It's all about the spin...

    • It is because initially, the car uses the battery's DC current to power electromagnetic coils in the stator which allow for power generation. Since hes not lugging a battery around, he can use permanent magnets to achieve this in the stator.

    • I think the idea was you'd have to fill in the blanks and come up with your own use for it. The device by itself isn't going to run on its own forever. You'd have to build something like a wind turbine or something like a propeller and place it in a running stream and have that continuously turn the alternator to produce constant power. I'm pretty sure that's what he created.
