The crocodile made several attempts at escape but the curious mammal continued to give chase. Crocodiles often prey on hippo calves but the reptile did not show any signs of predation nor did it fight back. The reluctant playmate eventually made its way to a herd of elephants that scared away the young hippo.

    • @@baller84milw it's based on size. A hippo can kill anything it can fit its jaw around. and an elephant can kill anything it can lift with its trunk or crush with 1 foot stomp. Lions can't hunt larger game without risking their own lives or ganging up on a single target.

    • @@davidc9256 Most likely. Funny thing is though, elephants have been know to protect other animals occasionally, even from their own kind. There was a story of young elephants bullying and even killing some young rhinos in a nature preserve. Some older elephants came in, saw what was going on, and put a quick stop to it.

    • @@KZheadCommenter1st I saw a video of a large croc attach itself to the trunk of an adult elephant. The elephant was in alot of pain & kept trying to knock the croc off it's trunk, but the crock was locked on tight. Poor elephant had to stomp the croc to death to free itself. Elephant most likely will never be the same after all that trunk damage.
