    • @DaviJohns If it helps your brain at all, people with hundreds of billions in net worth don't have it in anything like cash. It'll be tied up in assets. Usually, these assets are things that you cannot get the full appraised value for, such as stocks. Imagine for a moment that you made a company with a billion shares. You then convince a few people to buy a share for $10. Technically, you then are worth $10B, but you really are not rich. So, net worth is just theoretical money based on current market value of assets. This can and will change if you try to sell them. Usually, these people will have a ton of money still, considering dividens, salaries, and selling shares occasionally. But it's not in the billions, more like hundreds of thousands to millions. Still obscene amounts of money, but not a billion dollars in your bank account obscene.

      @tubesoxrox@tubesoxrox3 ай бұрын
    • @tubesoxrox You might be right. I assumed that the deck was reshuffled after every pull. If it isn't, then you're correct. You'd need to know what the other person pulled to do an accurate calculation in that case though. Since you'd need to know whether to reduce the number of remaining face cards or other cards since the total would be reduced by 2 on each subsequent try.
