@CL I mean was them getting that far not because of Draisaitl and McDavid? And then they got swept by Colorado so they really didn't get that close even. A joke about 2011? Creativity 10/10. I mean lots of reasons why he could possibly choose Vancouver; luxury city with better weather, decent Vancouver roster that he can help elevate, his buddy Podkolzin plays for Vancouver, opportunity in top 6 with Pettersson/Miller/Horvat etc. What's Edmonton really have over Vancouver besides the 97/29 tandem?

@damonm28802 жыл бұрын
Yes he's good on the pp but he's very strong 5on5 and I think his game is actually better suited for the NHL. The KHL is a very 90s Era dead puck type of hockey, very defensive with defensive orientated systems. You see players all the time who come over from Liiga, SHL KHL and put up much better offensive numbers. Keep in mind the guys gonna be playing with Miller or Petey as his Centre and guys like Hughes, Horvat Brock, Podz Garland ETC. If he plays with Pety or JT and gets some pp time with Quinn I could easily see him getting 20 goals 60 points then breaking out the following season after re-signing in Vancouver. His agent said his reason for choosing Vancouver was the potential of getting a multi year deal, opposed to going to a team for a season then going somewhere else. Our GM and Prez have been after him since he was 19 and our coach without a new contract at the time drove 7 hours to sell him on the team. Unless he really sucks this was always meant to be a multi year commitment and I expect as soon as they are able to they will announce an extension. Yes I'm a obviously biased, I've wanted him for quite awhile after seeing him when watching Podz while he played with him on SKA.

Looking forward to seeing what he can do in Vancouver. No way the team can afford to keep Miller, Boeser, Garland and Pearson. One, if not two will have to be traded soon. From what I have seen Kuzmenko seems to have a very high hockey IQ. in this highlight pack you see him constantly in the right places and he makes great choices on who to pass the puck to. He will be a great addition to the powerplay and it looks like he has enough defensive awareness and hustle to play in the top 6.
