I just have to say, for #4 at 3:40, I've seen so many comments calling Farley(#41) an idiot for not letting it roll closer to the goal line. The reason was because the punt coverage team had been so bad at downing punts before the goal line in the weeks prior. Even earlier in this game against the Bears, Mcafee dropped one that landed perfectly on the 1 yard line, and another gunner idiotically pushed it in the endzone for the touchback. So there was a good reason Farley downed it at the 4 so not to risk his idiot teammates botching another perfect punt. Just felt the need to explain that, carry on.
Thought he was an idiot when I saw it but that makes a lot more sense
@@williamsinclair1532 a football has the most unpredictable bounce. Never call someone an idiot for securing it in the 5
This guy is the only kicker/punter I can remember being an actual FOOTBALL Player.
Eh, I remember that, but this one would've been almost impossible to screw up. McAfee's career long could've been 75 or 76!
@Jay Kyle That is invasion of privacy. One of my life rules is if I don't want it done to me then I do not do it to others. Karma is a real thing.
He can kick, he can punt, he can run, he can pass, he can tackle, he can golf, he can showboat, and he can make you laugh.
according to one of his standup bits I just watched, he can't golf
He is also a world class beer chugger.
He can cook!
Don't forget he came from Morgantown. World class beer chugging partying schools of nation!!!!
Don't forget that he can also swim....(The white river canal incident)
I loved the fact that the day after his hit on Holliday (#2), he got informed by the league that he had to report to be tested for performance enhancing drugs. =)
America no it was real, just fucking funny as shit
No it wasn't a joke....he actually got a "random test" notice
didn't help that Pat would make 1000s of pot jokes on his social media. lol

The only punter in the world who could elicit a top 10 plays highlight reel. Put this dude in the HOF ASAP.
Tough to get a punter in the Hall. Took Ray Guy 40-some years to get there. But McAfee deserves a bust; he brought personality to the game and redefined what it means to be a punter. He understood the game better than perhaps ANY punter in his day, and he played the position like a linebacker. He was the Colts' emergency QB, I would've loved to have seen him have to do a Tom Tupa and line up under center. I think he'd have done alright. If Danny White could do it, McAfee _surely_ could've done it.
We were staying at the hotel that the Colt's players stayed at the night before a game. My daughter was going to Riley for a chemo treatment. He was the only player to stop and sign an autograph for us. He stopped and talked to my daughter, who was 3 at the time. The fact that he actually stopped to talk to this beautiful bald 3 year old made him my all-time favorite!
Fucking awesome.
Ur daughter's ok now right?

I think he will eventually be. His talent at onside kicks is the reason why kickoff rules were changed.

he may not have known it was the punter at the time. It was a pretty good run back!
Trinton could get hit by a gust of wind and get blasted tbh
He was literally on the sideline. The tackle was not hard at all.
Aadi M. The dude flew like 4 feet
matrixphijr I think he was mocking McAfees strut that was shown in an earlier highlight
Guy from Indianapolis here. My personal favorite Pat moment: He got drunk and went for a dip in the gross ass canal in Broad Ripple neighborhood and the police were called about a man swimming in the canal. When they arrived they asked Pat how much he had to drink and his response was, “probably a lot, cuz I’m drunk”😂
The McAfee era for the Colts was absolute gold. Love the guy. He gave us highlights, laughs, and pure entertainment.
when are the Colts gonna raise his jersey?
He deserves it. Dude was on another level.
@Dalen H forgive me if im wrong but does this also involve retiring the number?
Nah, he played 7 seasons. Average HOF kicker is 10-20 years.
@@DDDog hes a punter
@@1m3agle Exactly a reason that he shouldn't be in the HoF. Ray Guy has twice as many yards as Pat and Guy played 13 seasons instead of 7. And he is probably the only punter in the HoF. Pat was good when he played, but he should've played longer if he wanted to be in the HoF.
McAfee would’ve shaved years off of Palamaloo if he had gone for the C-Gap.
But he woulda had the Angel of Death waiting for him after the game

McAfee played football like every player should: being great at it, being fearless and having a ton of fun while doing it.
And most importantly, when it stopped being fun, he walked away!
fearless? i feel like u didnt watch the same person....... he was scared. as he should be of 300 lb people wanting to smash him. he just didnt let the fear cripple him
Naw dude he had fun doing exactly what he could....if he could pass then pass..if he has to run then run..if needed to celebrate then my guy celebrate all the fun of what a kicker needed to do

I don't see the Colts-Pats trick play here. That was a masterpiece of perfection.
It’s a shame that punters/kickers don’t get the appreciation they deserve. Pat McAfee and Marquette King were both amazing punters who brought swag to the game and they made punting look like fun. That’s the way the game should be played. I miss watching both of them play.
As a Ravens fan we love special teams.

5'6 165
it also was a decent return but I agree 100%
That was a 50 yard punt return. I'm sure any offense would take that trade off any day
He did do something special. A 50-yard punt return is a success. The tackle doesn't change that, and it shouldn't even be embarrassing. Like Tybone 2222 said, 5'6''' 165. At that height and weight, his job isn't to truck people, it's to use his speed and set his team up with good field position, which is exactly what he did.
He had a big ass return
Just started watching his show and I regret not watching him when he played in the NFL. Just amazing!!!
Pat the only guy who can make a punter highlight reel entertaining
Kickers and Punters are so unappreciated.
Most of them for good reason. I think it was Janikowski's fat old ass that made some half ass attempt at a tackle that made the "highlights" on SC last year or the year before. I looked it up and the play I'm talking about was on KZhead. This is "most kickers": kzhead.info/sun/gK-rm7t7eYilqX0/bejne.html I get that Janikowski is old as hell but come on. He didn't even try to stop the guy. Really, Mcafee really was a special punter. He was dangerous back there because he could kick, he could run and he could pass. He also was the best I've ever seen at onside kicks, which is a rare skill. He really did stuff most punters just can't do because he was very athletic.
Jason Allen very athletic with both a football and a beer.
Definitely true. Shit if it wasn't for a kicker Shady Brady would have 3 less rings.
Cakes, you aren’t making sense. Under appreciated? I don’t think so. They aren’t even football players, with few exceptions. You sound like you want to get into their tight jeans.
It’s a thankless job for sure. And as a Chargers fan, I’d like to say fuck you Nate Kaeding.
Pat: WE’RE KICKING IT!!! Troy: C’mon. Try to run it. 😎

Number 6 wasn’t a called fake, you could see several players looking up to see where the punt was going. Which makes that play even better. Pat may be my favorite player of all time lol
Joey Teter that doesn’t prove anything. Reading your opponents is a big part of football, they could just be playing the part.
@@Urrzx i think he meant it as a good thing, showing how McAfee could think on the fly
pavan2492 That doesn’t make any sense lol. I was saying that the fact that the other players were looking up for the punt doesn’t mean the play wasn’t called a fake from the jump because the other players on the team are supposed to act as if it is a real punt. So Pat didn’t think on the fly lol
@@Urrzx It wasn't a called fake, Pat's talked about how he has the option on bad snaps several times. He also threw a pass against the Steelers once that was an option, depending on what he saw, he could kick or pass. www.colts.com/video/pat-mcafee-talks-about-converting-on-fourth-down-15967251

A 60 yard return calls for celebration. McAfee leveling him is just simple physics lol-not as impressive.
If Pat didn't hit him, he was probably taking that to the house.
Pat Mcafee has 60 pounds on him of course he's gonna level him
The issue isn't physics or speed or who is bigger, the issue is what other premadonna punter is going to risk an injury to tackle anyone. Most wouldn't even act like they were going to chase someone down. He just loved the game.
