  • I’m truly impressed with the monologue. Here’s the context, he didn’t have a writer due to the strike. So everything Pat said he genuinely meant (instead of a script telling him to praise A, B, and C). Yeah, he has years of experience with his podcast, but it’s a huge difference chilling with the boys, and doing a standup bit.

A room entirely filled with people from every level and every decade of sports would of course be intimately familiar with the news already.
