  • Not a Vietnam Vet... But I am a Vet, and this was..IS one seriously wonky Vietnam era flick. Multiple scenes were flip flopped. You would Never have to tell the gunner to start firing once they started. Or Need to tell the squad to get out. Dude steps on a mine, and Both feet are attached and only a broken leg...NOBODY stopped to address his wound...that would Never happen.

  • GOSH. I don't know where to start! The CLEANEST, "no wear" uniforms I ever saw in any RVN movie! Set aside I was there, in 1969/70 ON THE HO CHI MINH TRAIL, (Tay Ninh to be exact). NONE of the uniforms were authentic, nor the BIG white US ARMY paint jobs on the jeeps! all in all I could not keep UP with the Defects in Movie Production! My gosh, and his RANK: Sargent Major ? ? ? ? ? Uh, ~Maybe~ I could believe even a First Sargent, Better yet Sgt. First Class, but just TOO goofy seeing that star inside three rockers . . .

  • I am a retired US Army Captain and damn sure never wore a uniform like that, plus what's with the two Captain's bars, one is supposed to be the branch of service like infantry. That's what I wore when I got hit and medivaced on my second tour.

  • As V.V. I had a hard time taking this seriously. in the very 1st scene, NOBODY had to tell the squad to get out. We were always out before the chopper got within 4 feet of the ground, they only landed to pick up wounded or after the PZ was cleared. Then, the chopper had an Air Force insignia. In my 2 tours I never saw one AF helicopter in a combat zone.
