  • In the early 70’s in my days in forensic pathology, one of our laboratory experts was a Dutchman, a school teacher and resistance agent during the war, he still had some of his resistance equipment, small radio set. He is remembered in the Australian War Museum. It was a great privilege to have known and worked with him. I served with the RAF in post war Germany in the mid 1950’s. I learnt a great deal about those quiet resistance people. May they rest in eternal peace.

  • I have a goal to lay flowers at as many memorials to those nameless resistance fighters as I can to thank them for helping save countless allied lives while knowing that many of their comrades we're being captured, tortured and murdered by Hitler's henchmen. It's very possible that the immeasurable courage of those men and women, boys and girls made it safer for my father when he entered France during early 1945. He survived.

  • A tribute to the men and women of resistance movements all throughout Europe during this terrible time in history. It is difficult to know the full extent of their pain and suffering as they risked everything to win back the freedom of their people. Most were simple people of simple means doing things that were not so simple. Thanks for sharing this wonderful movie.

With the SM companies happily kicking anyone off. Acting like publishers not supposed platforms. Then the gv looking to further restrictive gun laws & eventually disarming all. Which is their goal. Dementia joe says you can't fight big militaries with rifles. Tell that to Ukraine, or to the russians & us who spent billions & lost thousands in places like afganistan as well as many other places. They want complete control and power over all. And will not let little things like Our Constitution get in the way. Either restricting Our Rights, erasing them or simply not giving a damn if we still have them, acting like they don't exist. It is not our gov anymore...it's theirs.

He is British (as should be evident from the accent) and a member of the SOE (British Special Operations Executive). I suppose the assumption is just made that when someone hears 'special' that it must be American. That said, this film shows what can be done with a limited budget, decent writing, an interesting story and some good actors.

    • If you want more as good as this I can point you to a film called the contents of my lavatory and it's 5 hours long and the gripping part it when it refuses to flush and the suspense is unbearable.

  • My Jr high science teacher was an OSS agent in Germany. All he would ever tell us was that he basically just sent information re: bomb damage and production info etc. Never really told us anything, just very general and this was in the late 60's. Still wouldn't really talk about it. That's the kind of guy who makes a good agent I suppose.

  • Ok movie, if you have nothing else to do. He said: "boots and all" 54:51. Then at 1:00:06 they still have no boots on, but at 1:00:30, magically, their boots are back on their feet. And those his actual boots. Same clasp and all. You can tell at 14:44. At 10:28 that plane is not flying. It's just suspended in midair. 1:19:18 Oh, the odds and probabilities at this shoot out! At 29:42, Ellie hands her gun to Anatole and runs off to find John. Ellie runs up the embankment at 29:50 carrying her gun. Then, at 30:02, Ellie comes out of the woods and somehow, somewhere she does not have her gun, again.

    • Low budget films do have more problems with continuity, but a good story and the acting was good. I can ignore the little stuff and still enjoy the movie.
