R.I.P to all of your mobile carrier sponsorships lol
I just used my VPN and it did work to unlock the speed on FAST just like you showed. Thanks for the advice.
Happy to help!
I didn't believe it was THAT strong of an effect. I tried this thinking I could get just enough for 720p or 1080 during slow times. I actually got a solid 1080 at 60fps WITH near instant loading when clicking around later parts of the video
I have done this for a long time as needed and it’s great advice for those that weren’t aware. Stetson your tips and videos are always about saving the average consumer money and I think you are doing a great job! Keep it up my friend 👍
I had no idea this was a thing, the only reason I didn’t switch to a very cheap 60$ a month cellphone plan was because all of the cheap plans have very small streaming budgets like 720-480p. With this I can save upwards of 180$ a month
Glad I came across this because I have google one and seen that they had a VPN, I can now say it works wonders for streaming 4k 60 HDR video for my 5G Android device.
Excellent timing! I just mentioned u in the Visible subreddit! 😊
Thanks to this I can now catch up with all phub videos. My hand will be overtime today. 😂
bruhhh! lol
Wtf
Wow the carrier is evil. What carrier is he testing. Im banning them
fortunately in Peru major carriers do not restrict your video quality... but obviously data allowance disappears fast
boost infinite on the dish network throttle in busy areas, using VPN helps to have faster loading speeds and no network congestion
VPNs work great for KZhead but most streaming services block VPNs. Still though, great to see you make a video on this. Carriers hate VPNs lol
Also if you connect to Albania or Moldova server you don't get any ads as it's not permitted to advertise there
Please make a video on how to bypass hotspot speed restrictions and limits!
To my current knowledge, I do not think that is possible.
@@StetsonDoggett There are Android apps that do seem to make this possible. The system's hotspot feature creates a separate connection for hotspot usage, which carriers recognize, while such apps route hotspot usage through the main smartphone network so they appear to carriers as smartphone usage. Though I don't think that's possible on iOS without jailbreaking.
@@StetsonDoggett it is. Spoof TTL.
I have the AT&T Unlimited Elite plan, which comes with 4K streaming. I’ve noticed throttling lately. Speedtest results 125 Mbps down. Fast results 13 Mbps download speed.
Some streams detect VPN and block video access.
So it costs $59.76 for the first 24 months but how much does it cost after the first 2 years end?
Magenta Max 55+ here. I get 4K on cellular but to be honest I cannot tell the difference between 2160p and 1080p, even on a fairly large 15 Pro Max. 1080p, 1440p, 2160p all look the same to me. Perhaps I am just a video barbarian, but it is only on big screens that I notice the difference.
That is a good point. Just because you can stream 4k doesn't mean you need to. There are no cell phones that have 2160p resolution screens, so there is no point going above 1440p and 1080p is really more than adequate. Why waste data and cause extra network congestion for no reason?
@@FlintIronstag23 There is one company make with 2160p display phone. Sony.
@@tinnakornsai4404 2160p is 3840 × 2160. The Sony Xperia 1 V has a screen resolution of 3840 x 1644 so is not a true 2160p screen.
He did it!! 🙏🙏
I always thought carriers use some kind of packet sniffing to determine the type of data going thru the network. What VPNs work with ALL of the streaming services? That was one problem I had with VPN is theat some streaming services block VPN, like Disney.
I think it may depend on the VPN you use. I believe some streaming services may detect some VPNs and not others. I am not 100% sure though -- I could be completely wrong here. Might be worth searching on Reddit to see if anyone has found a VPN that works with your streaming service of choice.
Question: If you got home internet like spectrum do you need a vpn to stream in 4k?
Nope! No VPN needed to stream video at 4K when you're connected to your home internet :)
Great video thank you so much.
Wow. It really worked.
Doesn't Apple and Google have their own VPN?
Google vpn is shutting down.
I turned off video management from Att
This video loaded with 2160p and am on cellular. I was with sprint but then it became tmobile. During the switch something must have happened because my plan is basic
Don't tell T-Mobile haha!
Will it work for deprioritized data also?
No, that’s different. Limiting streaming quality is done by monitoring your network traffic, whereas prioritizing is done by device and plan.
Grammar issue with the title just letting you know man!
Just fixed it, thank you! Sometimes my fingers type fast and miss some words :)
Hey brother for your safety don’t try correcting someone in public as you did with our friend Stetson.PSA 0001.
Honestly not sure i need 4k on mobile phone. Big screen TV yes.
never had that happen on my att plan
Thanks for this info, got to try using a vpn sometime.
Definitely worth a shot, especially since many VPNs have free trials. Some VPNs will work better than others.
My video throttle and buffer videos at 480p despite having unlimited Internet data plan
That's why you should read the fine print of the plan, but as mentioned in the video any VPN you choose should give you HD streaming.
I use Nordvpn
Tech novices need to be kept in the dark. Too bad we don't have a social credit score yet.
If we had net neutrality none of this nonsense would be necessary. I VPN to my home. Have symmetric fiber that's much snappier than many VPN providers.
