Anthony Joshua planning to retire

Anthony Joshua spoke to Antoine Allen (me) about this upcoming fight with Francis Ngannou- AJ was reluctant to speak beyond this fight.
In my previous interviews he had always confirmed his dream is to become a three-time heavyweight champion of the world. But, this time Francis was his only focus....
I don't like to waste anyone's time. This isn't my best interview with AJ. I had limited time and had to make a news report by 6pm. I got back to the studio at 4.55pm. I will upload the video so you can see for yourself
What are your thoughts on this interview and AJ vs Ngannou?

  • Is hard for you to hear AJ bad talking (trash talk) to most of his opponents that he fought and those he would fight, he is just a cool and great guy to be around he deserves to be the Ambassador of the heavey weight boxing sport to the upcoming stars.... Let's champ💪🏿💪🏿

    • Well media trained. With respect neither of you know him Im sure his mum didn't raise him to throw peoples belts out of the ring and show terrible sportsmanship. I'm sure she didn't raise him to kick off with an old man on the way to the back just because he asked him to calm down. I'm sure she didn't raise him to be a drug dealer, I'm sure she didn't raise him to spout anti white propaganda at a BLM rally. Don't assume you know a person when they have a camera in front of them

    • @@mikeh5656 With respect, I've spoken to AJ's mother, as she follows me on social media. So don't speak beyond your knowledge. I've seen AJ when the cameras are on and off. I didn't say he is jesus- ie perfect. But, he is polite and respectful. He carries himself well. People like you seem to constantly use a limited amount of examples to undermine all the good he has and does do. 'media trained' is your go to answer- which shows a complete lack of knowledge of the world of sports reporting or media. This is my job- i am not a random person on KZhead. No doubt AJ's brand has been developed by his team- but it still requires a person to turn up, deliver in the ring and in interviews. If it it was just media training why are most sports people not AJ? His team didn't invent interview prep... It's best you ask more questions, than make assumptions. Most of the people people get their information from have never met the person they are speaking about. I am not most people. I only speak on what i know and who I know.

I only had an hour to get this on tv... but it still previews the fight nicely. Have a watch and let me know your thoughts. Feel free to watch my other AJ interviews which are better- i believe. kzhead.info/sun/n6mhebeXrpWIeH0/bejne.html

  • I am French 🇲🇫 and as i said in the past, i would gladly exchange Mbappe to have Anthony Joshua as a French athlete 🥊 .. seriously, this Man has it all and despite the fact that i never been a fan of the HeavyWeight division, Joshua is the only reason i kept an eye here and there as to know what possible opponents would make à good interesting fight with him ( I though about a Rematch with Parker given the good run he has, Franck Sanchez as well, and Martin Bakole/Efe Ajagba as they are slowly climbing the rangs and i find it interesting to see an Experienced Seasonned HW still in his prime against à New generation ) .. To come back to what i said earlier, Anthony Joshua had it all from the beginning to be successful, so much so, one would believe he has been made in a Lab for OUR Generation : He speaks very well, his sentences as well as ideas in Boxing and the path his career took ; he take it all very seriously .. Plus he has a Good Look, i know it triggers some men to admit it generally, but AJ is a Good Looking Man so he could very well be a Model AND He has Knockout Power to bring à casual audience to watch his Fights and his Next Bout against Francis Ngannou could not be more Perfect as far as not only being popular in the U.K and Europe generally ; Cameroun and the Mma fans in the U.S are going to tune it to watch Boxing 🥊 I find it very interesting to hear him say he does not understand Fans saying > .. and his response was he had Wins Only 🤭 which is the most important thing for Him. I do not agree there because Joshua fights for Himself, not for the Fans as far as Style Goes : The same was said of Carlos Monzon 🇦🇷 , a Middleweight Legend from the 1970's .. he used to mantain the same rythme in his Fights, he took risks in a calculated manner ( He was Also Huge in Argentina during his reign despite him looking stiff and using mainly his jab and hook [ like AJ in my opinion ] ). It is very cool to see Anthony Joshua as focused as he is and taking Ngannou seriously .. Boxing being the only Sport i ever gros interest for in my life, i hope Joshua does more than > as it is an excellent opportunity to be an even bigger Star. Ps : Anthony Joshua did refered to Boxing as a Fight, when Tyson Fury did it, Ngannou corrected him saying it was too limited, when AJ did, Ngannou did not corrected him, i find it interesting 🤔

    • His behaviour towards Usyk was absolutely disgraceful. He stole Usyk's big moment from him, threw Usyk's belts out of the ring, shoulder barged and tried to instigate a fight with Usyk's trainer who is half his size and twice his age and had to be held back from attacking him by burly security guards, and then he later accused Loma of being racist for merely trying to console him by saying he was strong. Would you call that befitting behaviour of a ''real boxing ambassador''? If so, what would you consider Usyk?

It's rare to fight someone a third time when 2 out of 3 times it's a L but it would be a great end to a great unappreciated career. Best of luck.

    • Can you give me an example of where there's another reality where AJ would have to fight someone three times after beating them soundly twice? I can assure you there isn't one. Had AJ just edged Usyk once he never would've given Usyk a rematch let alone two. AJ didn't deserve the first rematch never mind another one. It's absolute insane that Usyk would have to fight him three times after comprehensively beating him twice already when he had everything stacked against him. Usyk is 37 years old and past his prime and even if AJ beat him once Usyk would still be 2-1 against him so in order to put that right AJ would have to beat Usyk three times. An old well past prime Usyk. AJ and Hearn think he deserves as many opportunities as it takes to achieve the desired result but his opponents only ever get one shot at doing so. I have defended AJ many times but he does not deserve another shot at Usyk. Usyk beat him soundly twice fair and square and that rivalry should be over. He had his chance twice and he failed twice.

I think Usyk is amazing though, better than everyone right now. I don't think anyone could hate him if he did that? Of course it's an impossible thing to happen though.
