  • He's cut from a different cloth.. Any fighter would response to Parkers mother in a different way. Most of them would have said : You better say goodbye to your son, because I will do this and that to him.. But this man Anthony Joshua amazed me with his response to Parkers mother.. The utmost respect.!! I wish you a good health and a wonderfull career in and outside the ring..

    • He isn't fake. He isn't claiming to be an angel, he consistently speaks sense and has a productive and generous attitude. If someone is decent and speaks sense but loses their temper or hate some people and some things does that mean they are fake? He doesn't have to conform to mainstream opinions and demands and when that shows, it is in his favour rather than against him, shows he has his own brain and isn't willing to abandon his own principles. But maybe his agents etc will advise on marketing decisions to be silent about this or that. And most of us are involved in that sort of restraint due to the doors that get closed when speaking the truth about something that involves vested interests of others.

  • AJ isn't the smartest tool in the box academically I would say, but he has a heart of gold and a lot of integrity for his fellow man. I think he would do very well in politics, where integrity is often lacking by many members of parliament. The fact he is prepared to put the needs of others before himself, shows a great deal of the man's character. The future is very unpredictable, but I wouldn't be surprised if this man ends up in community work and makes a real change for the inner urban areas of the UK.

  • Anything is possible with AJ in 12 - 15 yrs time when he retires. Imran Khan ( ex Pakistan cricket world cup winning captain.) Manny Pacquio & Vitali Klitchko ( 2 great fighters ) all these,great sports stars could be running their countries.

    @robertosalazar6867@robertosalazar68676 жыл бұрын
    • Imran Khan and Vitali Klitschko are both educated men and have the verbal and intellectual skills to become politicians. Pacquiao is not an educated man but is an iconic sports figure in an "also ran" country, as are Imran and Vitali. AJ seems a nice lad with a keen sense of humour but it is inconceivable that he could make an impact in politics in a country with the stature of Britain. It would be a bit like watching the sequel to "Ali G in Da House".

Currently I'm not aware of any UK examples but I'm sure there's a few. It's early but with the right steps it could be possible, in some capacity

  • Whether you rate him or not, or like him or not, he gave fantastic answers in this interview, very honorable and intelligent answers. I wanted Klitshchko to win and thought Klitschko should have won, but Joshua is probably a better and smarter person than Klitschko, regardless of the academic education. He speaks more sense than most mainstream politicians, and he has perspective on true wealth of character rather than sporting success and material wealth. Very difficult to dislike him after listening to him here. I would prefer Parker to win (and he is another nice and respectful guy) mainly to shut up some of Joshua's low life idiotic fans. Any fighter can be knocked out and every fighter has vulnerabilities, Joshua certainly doesn't have a glass jaw.

    @ZaydDepaor@ZaydDepaor6 жыл бұрын
  • He's looking slimmer again. I'm liking it because he's been too heavy for his last two fights. This might be a game changer because I was picking Parker with the superior handspeed, stamina and movement but Joshua back in the 230-240 pound range might pick up his speed and sharpness again while closing the distance in the stamina department. Ntm his height and reach advantage. Hope he does bring that WBO belt home though.

    • BOXING ROBINSON I'm not really impressed with Parker with all due respect, he does well against mediocre/average boxers, but Joshua is of a different caliber. That guy is technically of another level, we've been able to see that in the fight against Klitschko. Parker on the other hand has a moderate match against both Carlos Takam and Hughie Fury. I think Parker goes on the attack in the first round and Joshua will answer with a few good punches, giving Parker a taste of what kind of opponent he's dealing with forcing Parker to go into the defense.

  • I see a lotta of hate comments below mocking him as a politician, yet like-minded people still voted Trump for President, oh the irony of this world, its beyond comprehension. But it doesn't surprise me, to be human means to be constantly swayed by emotions including being more sympathetic to those with whom you share similarities with and be blinded to the abilities of those from other backgrounds.

    • shola ebofin Not how he says that if you're paying high taxes only then you should have a say on how it's spent. And you kind of already do have a say on how your taxes are spent when voting on the manifesto. You can't have 40 million people wanting to spend their money 40 million different ways, nothing would get done. And on the NHS, I don't think a&e is full of people that have cut their fingers or have a cold. People are there for serious issues. But there is a clear lack of investment, funding and innovation which the NHS needs. I like AJ, and expressing and debating views is a good thing. At least he cares and is trying to do something.
