  • Ben is a very good trainer and im glad AJ is being given a helping hand to rejuvenate his boxing career. He did a lot to bring Fury back from the abyss and that in itself was very impressive, its a shame Fury's team dropped him (not sure if it was Big John Fury's decision but remember an interview years ago ripping into Ben). Regardless of the result between Aj and Ngannou i hope Aj sticks with Ben and they eventually get the Fury and Usyk rematch under his wing.

To achieve so much at such a young age and with no real boxing experience is bordering on a genius level. • Adam I just love this. Being a boxing coach myself I am just fascinated to see how AJ develops under Ben . I felt before that AJ had chosen the RIGHT coach as with Derrick James as Derrick teaches a particular style basic upon physics and I wanted to see how he was going to use this particular style with AJ and to see whether this was going to work. Now AJ is with Ben and as you quite rightly so mentioned that Ben is very analytical in his thinking and on the other hand you have AJ as what many have said a boxing sponge constantly absorbing information. I have been very critical of Ben in the past as I believe his teaching to be too complex and I do not believe teaching certain scenarios to boxers to what to expect if something happens or having a Plan A; B or C . After being involved with fighting systems all my life I teach a specific style of boxing in Peek a Boo boxing style. We rely on the system itself; we do not work on scenarios or have plans. Mike Tyson has famously said your plan goes out of the window when you get punched in the face . Mike also never studied other fighters before fighting them. He just relied on the Peek a Boo system. However there has not been another champion since Mike Tyson using the Peek a Boo system you might add. So true. However what I would say to this is that 99.9% of trainers do not know the concepts of the system and do not know how it works and definitely cannot teach it. I have been told by my mentor and coach that the style was training in secret it was not widely exposed because fighters that learned under the system had an advantage so Cus kept all of his training very private and closed off to the public.

The moment AJ brought him in I thought ‘this is an interesting choice’. AJ certainly looked different against Wallin, curious against Unganu. • The difference in this fight will actually be Ben Davison. He is now becoming master at game-planning...telling his fighters to throw the right shot at the right time....very tactical coach who has a great...like-minded team behind him. Lee Wiley....Davison's No 2 is a very underrated...but extremely talented boxing trainer also. IMHO he's a better trainer than Dewy Cooper...who although is a top level Boxing/Kick-Boxing/MMA coach...who has worked in the corner of may boxing Champions I truly believe this will be the best version of Joshua we've seen to date. An active Joshua IMHO is the best HW in the world. Ngannou was my favorite MMA fighter. He has the size...the strength...the toughness/durability.....the chin and most definitely the power to beat AJ...THAT'S A FACT. But...the real facts is that he had a very close fight with a severely under-prepared Tyson Fury.....but no doubt Ngannou is a capable boxer contrary to what many think. But again he lacks the experience really at the top level. Let's remember who Anthony Joshua is....former Olympic Gold Medalist.....won Silver at the World Amateur Championship......former 2x Unified World HW Champ. Joshua has a chip on his shoulder that's when he's at his most dangerous. I just think that Joshua is too experienced and too seasoned for Ngannou. Joshua will be too fast and too precise for Ngannou...who I believe is really gonna have a big problem with Joshua's fast...precise...varied jab.....that jab is gonna win the fight for Joshua. Joshua's movement/footwork...defensive will be too much. More importantly....Joshua is way more explosive than T. Fury and that's gonna cause Ngannou problems too. Joshua I believe will put on a clinic against Ngannou and show the world who he really is. He's the finished article now...complete.

  • Always liked Ben, when he came on the scene he gave me pep/Mourinho vibes - this new way of thinking - AKA he has an i.q and tried to create a better boxing i.q in his fighters
